Don't quote one price on line and then give a different price when charging for the rental. There was a difference of over $70. Not nice.Pamela A.
The service was great, the truck was clean but the ride was like riding a bunking bronco for 2,000 miles. We stopped at a certified u-haul service area, after driving for one full afternoon and 1 hour the following morning. they said the rear tires were in the yellow, and they were not authorized to change the front tires which I felt very strongly we're out of balance or had broken bead. At 60-70 mph I was unable to read the Highway signs, the lights did not have a stead beam, and were bouncing with the front end. I ended up with a stiff neck at the end of each day of driving due to the severe bouncing. To improve the service I believe that when a customer says that something is wrong it should be taken MORE SERIOUSLY!!! The truck handled fine except for that.Peggy H.

We had ordered a dozen moving blankets and they only had a few available. It would be good if everything offered online when you order your U-Haul is actually available at the pick-up site. It seems like U-Haul should track where items are to let customers know what you can actually get at each site.Karen L.

The truck was dirty. I needed to brush and hose off especially around rear tail gate. The interior needed a good vacuum job. Truck ran well enough as we drove it round trip to Florida/3000 miles. There is an issue with the automatic gear shifting when first starting out. It often raced to a somewhat high RPM before it shifted. Once up to cruising speed truck ran well.Kenneth D.
the radio suddenly started working Friday AM, when I started the truck ( kind of eerie, it was a. Christian station & was a tad confusing first thing on a dark rainy AM!) It continued working throughout the AM in Boston, for Tropical Storm Elsa's streaming torrential rain. By the time we got to Bethel VT I guess it was dry enough to quit working again,â€¦. I hope I remember to check radio before I leave. The local agent is terrific!Juliana K.

This is a terrible location, not just geographically but in no way in this inviting, inclusive, or safe. I felt extremely uncomfortable by the owner as well as the many unaffiliated men lingering in and around the grounds, staring at my every move. I was offered a donut, and after rejecting, continually and forcibly offered to eat in front of them. Their tone was demeaning; the employee explained how many hours are in 2 days, told me not to read the contract, and told me that I was â€œwasting their timeâ€ and â€œthrowing off their dayâ€. I do not recommend that U-haul continues to operate out of this location. It is not safe or welcoming to the average person, and I would never recommend anyone go there alone. It simply failed to meet any expectations I, as a consumer, hold for a well-established and highly reputable brand such as U-haul.Henry W.

There was junk everywhere and not enough places to park a uhaul. Also very little cell service to do the 24/7 return on the app.Adrian B.
My biggest issue with this experience is that the cargo door broke under normal use and customer service made me file an insurance claim. I feel broke do to normal wear and tear and is not my problem, none the less I bought the more expensive insurance through u-haul so I didn't have to worry, yet after wasting time fussing to get the door closed you give the run around calling Rep West to make a claim, this should go much smoother.Lucas R.

Our rental was confirmed the day before, but was not actually at the pickup location. Uhaul dispatch was not only very unknowledgeable, but also kept diverting us with incorrect numbers to call and loose-ended answers that ran us in circles. We ended up driving around, ourselves, to find a place with the truck we needed and then told uhaul where it was. It took 2 hours to get the truck checked out. At this point, we were held up nearly 4 hours getting started on our moving day, totally unacceptable. Then, to top it off, we were double charged and got the run-around, again, in regards to getting our money back on the extra charge. I will never rent uhaul again and will go out of my way to tell people I know to rent from a different moving company. Each uhaul franchise is disconnected from the other and nobody seems to have any accountability.Jeffrey D.

No windshield washer fluid in the vehicle when I picked it up. Nothing against the pickup location, but we requested a pick up in White River Junction, VT and I was forced to drive over 75 miles round trip to pick up the vehicle. The U-haul reservation manager for Vermont was terrible. I asked him directly if drive such a long distance to get a very was convenient, he repeatedly refused to answer. This gentleman owes my wife and I am apology.David R.

This location is basically a dump of old and broken farm equipment with a few U-Haul vehicles to the side. When we arrived, there was no one there, even though the posted hours showed them as open. Because it is out in the middle of nowhere, there was no cell service to do the self-return through the website. The place looked like a junk yard, and we were worried about leaving the truck without a lock on the back. We were nervous that someone would come and take the blankets or dolly we rented, but everything worked out. It was also tricky finding the drop box. We arrived after hours, so there wasn't anyone there. The place looked really run down, and if it weren't for another U-Haul truck in the lot, we wouldn't have felt comfortable leaving the truck. Also we have some questions and asked for a return call, but no one has gotten back to us.Jen T.

This comment is not about the pick up but rather the customer service I received before that. The supervisor in the Massachusetts office has no customer service skills. She was abrupt and not friendly at all. I had concerns about my pickup location and the amount of miles I was given and she was not willing to address my concern nor give somebody else to speak to. She kept repeating that she was the top person and that there was nobody else to talk to. Terrible personality for a supervisor in customer service.JOANNE B.

As a drop-off location it was fine and conveniently close to my location. But it was not clear how to drop off the vehicle: no one was there (not surprising on a Sunday), but there were no signs or key drop-off box to explain how to properly "drop off". And I had no cell phone connectivity to do the online drop-off. Ultimately I called customer service (at the next gas station, where I did have cell connectivity) to explain.Martin L.

This place is closed on the weekend and doesn't have good LTE service to be able to return the vehicle online. It was very frustrating and stressful. The key ended up getting locked in the cab. The first uhaul rep that I called told me to call AAA. AAA told me that they couldn't unlock the type of uhaul we had because it was considered a commercial vehicle. I called customer service back and the lady I spoke with just put a note on the contract.Stephanie M.
Muddy driveway, no one there, not very inviting and I'm not even sure if there's an office. Also the staff charged us $10 cleaning fee for "packing tape all over the floor," which doesn't even make any sense. The packing tape was on our well-sealed boxes, and we didn't unpack them in the vehicle. Also for one stray bottle my husband didn't notice and left in the cab. $10. We're clean people and knew enough to clean up any garbage, and even cleaned out the garbage upon original pickup. Disappointed overall with the experience.Jessica N.
