Apparently the staff was left high and dry without adequate training. Not their fault. Took and hour to rent the vehicle. Vehicle was not clean. Returned it 1 hour early and got an email that I didn't return it.

The facility had limited U-Haul inventory and the staff had difficulty with the online system to set up the rental. I think that the facility was turning over staff that were not trained with the U-Haul procedures.

My identity was stolen, I didn’t authorize for anyone to rent a truck using my name or information, whatever identification was presented at the time of renting this truck wasn’t mines, I’ve never been to this state and, I have contacted law enforcement. Uhaul needs to do a better job as far as security measures and, giving out customers personal information to people that are running scams and, performing fraudulent activities.

This location provides other services so if you are in a hurry give yourself plenty of time!!! The iPad electronic forms were not working, then the computer locked up on the uhaul page and then I had to wait while he called uhaul. I felt like I was there forever trying to get it signed out.

There furniture pads were not on the truck. Sadly I did not discover this until I was back home. 30 minutes later with movers waiting, I returned to pick up pads. Hour wasted. Dealer could not print contract, if they had, I would have discovered that the Safe Move coverage had been added inadvertently (prefilled by Uhaul) when I edited the pick up time.

I had to pick up at an alternate location. The truck was filthy, smelled like smoke, it didn't have the gas in it they told me it did, the passenger seat belt was torn and unusable, as was the cup holder (which I didn't find out until it was packed and we were ready to leave), not ideal for a 900 mile trip. And, very sad on a brand new truck (it only had 55,000 miles on it.). I cleaned it and wiped it down before my trip and found a hand full of cigar wrappers. (Perhaps uhaul vehicles are not smokeless.)

The Owner/Manager was incredibly nice and helpful to us. What a convenience to be able to drop off at this location. I liked this location and ease and efficiency far better than any of the the other 3 Janesville, WI locations I've utilized. Great experience and help.

I slipped while loading a front load washer and ended up slipping and it fell on top of me and seriously spranged my right ankle forcing me to miss work because it was cleaned out!!

I was supposed to pick my truck up in Madison, received a call three days later that I would need to drive twenty minutes to a different location. The day of pickup I received a call no trucks were available. After much discussion had to drive an hour out of my way and back to pickup a truck. Then had to pay movers twice. The location I picked up the truck also did not have a furniture dolly or furniture pads; ended up renting pads from another location and had to buy a furniture dolly. At this location truck wasn’t swept, no inspection completed at time or rental, and gentleman working counter informed me earlier in the month he rented out a U-Haul to someone without confirming ID; when customer came in to pickup his rental police were involved and had to deal with a stolen / missing truck. Would not recommend renting from this location.

I would not recommend any U-Haul location to anybody. Any time I would try to call I was on hold for a minimum of 15 minutes. On the day of pick-up I was told that the previous renter had not returned the equipment yet so I had to wait multiple hours until another rental was luckily located. Absolutely terrible experience

Truck was not available where I requested. Had to go 20 miles out of my way to pick up. Movers they recommended did not show up. While U-Haul advertisers the movers, recommends the movers and takes your money they take no responsibility. I was treated very rudely by their customer service people as I was unaware I had to contact Mover.com. I will never rent from U-Haul again

I was a "walk-in" (no reservation) & received excellent service and a clean,comfortable vehicle. Smooth, easy transaction.....NO surprises.

Very frustrated with the online reservation system - it kept trying to add items I didn't want to my cart. Instead of the customer selecting those items, they are auto-filled and the customer has to remove them from the cart. My cart should have been $30, and instead it tried to ring up as $187. Customer service on the phone was not helpful in locating a trailer. The center we used in Janesville was helpful, until it came time to check the trailer back in. We were charged three times what we should have, and we had to go through UHaul in order to receive a refund - and I am still waiting for a receipt. Not a great experience overall.

The gentleman at the front desk was very polite and helpful, along with the 2 men that helped hitch and unhitch the trailer I rented. Great customer service at this location!

The original location on Milwaukee St. but i was sent to the Pontiac location upon my arrival. I went to the Pontiac location and it was closed, spent time doing an over the phone rental contract and the trailer drivers side strap was ripped and i had to use my own strap to secure that wheel.

I used the 6 x 12 tandum wheeled trailer. You guys ought to figure out a way to put a lowering/raising tounge on that trailer...it weighs a shit ton...try it, you'll know what I mean.

The young man was nice but didn’t know much about uhaul which he did say. Was just filling in. Had to unhook trailer etc. myself if I was a woman etc. would she have to do the same? Did not come out even to check the trailer. I guess I was spoiled by the people at the Goshen address.

They were very apologetic for the inconvenience. When trying to communicate with UHaul customer service on my behalf, they did not get great results either. Why does UHaul feel that the customer is not a priority, but the customer MUST abide by all of silly UHaul policies?? Extremely disappointed in UHaul.

U Haul is terrible to rely on. It was 1.5 hours on inconvenience and extreme stress. We were told we had a 20ft truck there to pick up that didn't exist. Then sent us to east Milwaukee to where the system was down and didn't recieve a vehicle. We went back to this location to just get what was available. I would never ever recommend Uhaul. I will be going social media on this. The company should pay us back for the inconvenience and very poor service.

I have NEVER received the kind of customer service that I did today! The associate that was helping me was extremely rude about the fact, that even though I had my confirmation IN HAND, the trailer I had reserved was not there. His very rude suggestion was that we could drive an hour out of our way to get the correct trailer. I don't know how you can confirm a reservation and not follow through on your end of the deal? We now have a trailer that is far too big for our needs for our very long commute through the mountains! Thankfully the representative in CO was apologetic and kind about all of it.

You sent us home with a trailer with dangerously bald tires and were reluctant to help us out. We ended up getting roadside assistance before we could leave home! Then, when we dropped the trailer off in Champaign, they couldn't find our paperwork at first because you gave us the wrong trailer. We were very disappointed with the Janesville portion of this transaction.

Overcharged mileage rate. During the week I was told it was .19c per mile. They charged me .69 per mile. They did not have a 10 foot truck. Had to get a 15 foot truck. I asked them to charge me for a 10 foot since they could not provide one....they said no.

The gentleman there actually informed me of an option to return the truck to same location which would drop my bottom line, w/ allotted miles. This was very beneficial as Ive done numerous one way trips and would have loved for the benefit to return to the same location to have been shared w/ me previously. All in all Good People, Great Service!

I was very surprised, he was busy and said if I needed help to come back in the store. But I put the trailer on myself and checked the lights, and drove off.

I got charged for two days when I only had the truck for 7 hours. I also almost drove off without the dolly

I only drove 20 miles in the truck I rented and they charged me $15 for four gallons of gas. I did not use four gallons of gas driving 20 miles. My total came to $52 to make two trips to my storage site which was about 7 miles away from this location. Not worth the money, especially when you get charged that much for gas on top of having to pay $0.69 per mile.
