Drop off location is sketchy. It was a gas station with no uhaul employee there to very and maintain the truck.

We reserved the 15 ft truck in advance of our move date on Nov 3rd 2018. The day before, we received a confirmation that the truck was reserved at the location we specified. The morning we are supposed to pick up the truck we call to see if we can come get it a little early and they tell us there is no 15 ft truck and that the confirmation email shouldn't have been sent. We now have movers scheduled to come in an hour and our truck is not available. This is extremely unacceptable. After calling around, the associate found a truck at another location so we had to drive out of our way to go pick that one up. When returning our truck at a gas station, the asassociate can hardly speak English. We had asked him about a toll and he didnt know the answer. He calls someone else on the phone and tells us we owe $2.69 for milage overage and never answered the toll question. The person on the phone is now saying they can't charge our credit card for the milage overage. This is the same card we already used to pay during pick up. They want another card number and start to read our credit card number to the person on the phone. I have no idea why this couldn't be done in person. We didn't feel comfortable having our credit card number read over the phone to an unknown person so we got cash from an ATM and paid that way. I also never got my toll question answered by the associate or call the Uhual phone number and just paid online. Very frustrating experience. Uhual also didn't have a truck the morning of a much large for for us so this is the second time this has happened. Overall negative experience using Uhual.

We had expected a 10 foot truck, which was perfect for our move. Instead, we were given a 20 foot truck which was way too large for our move and allowed out belongings to move during transport, causing scratches on items. The location had a 10 foot truck in the lot, but it was covered in snow. Our pick up location was moved because the 10 foot truck wasn't available at the original. The starting mileage was not entered either because at drop off, the system told us that we would owe $18,000+ for 42k+ miles in ONE DAY.

Went to one Uhaul location. Took me a while to find the office. When I did the lady opened the door was on the phone and kept talking on phone like I wasn't there. Told her need to return uhaul and said I was in wrong place to go up the road to the other uahul. I asked if I could just retun it there she said no have to return it where agreed. Drove around looking for the uhaul she said was the right one and after finally finding it turned out it wasn't the correct uhaul either. Nonetheless the they were very polite there and offered to take the truck saying there would be no problem

Employee didn’t want to be bothered, was forced to call the manager, who forced me to pay the $28 insurance fee, despite me specially refusing the service when making my reservation online. Finally got the keys, only to find just over 1/4 tank of gas. It might be ok by company standards, but it’s quite frustrating to have to immediately fill the tank without being reimbursed for the gas. Will only go directly to UHaul stores from now on, very disappointing experience.

On-line booking said no 26' trucks available in Middletown (nearest my house). Noted that the closest was in Milford, PA, so I booked that. Confirmation call the day prior to the pick-up told me no 26' available in Milford, but there is one in Middletown (convienence store). Why was it not coming up when I booked on line? Then 45 minutes prior to pick-up, I received a call that said the truck was not at the location I was told as it was dropped off at another location (the one I did finally pick it up at). Luckily I was flexoble this time around, but the uncertainty is not good.

we had to hook the trailer up ourselves and there was a part missing that we had to drive down to Middletown to get and then go back to put the part on and then hook the trail up ourselves. We lost an hour and a half of our day to this. Then a few days after we returned the trailer to the location we got it from, we got a call from Roe brothers asking when I would be returning the trailer. The website had me down as a one way . Now when I made the reservation I corrected the pick up time and return time several times. every time the screen changed it reset itself. This experience has pushed us in the direction of buying a trailer and not dealing with you anymore.
