Horrible experience, the key wasn't even in the car, and when I called the line they were not helpful at all. In fact I had to go to entirely new location that just so happen to be open. Thankfully it was because it was it there was no way that I was going to be able to move into my new apartment. This is the worst U-Haul experience I've ever had.Asher B.

This staff was friendly. One employee was there working before opening hours to prepare for the day. I was impressed with that. The employee who helped me in the afternoon when I returned the vehicle was friendly but lacked a sense of professionalism and urgency to get the customer taken care of in a hurry and get him on his way. Also I was told in advance that If I left more fuel in the tank than was in the tank when I rented the vehicle the cost of the additional fuel would be refunded to me. I clearly left more fuel in the tank than when I started but I was told it that it would only be refunded if I filled the tank. The gentleman said, I don't know why he (the morning employee) told you that. Also the starting odometer was recorded 1 mile wrong for some unexplained reason. I took a picture of the starting odometer. It was a Friday so I overpaid $0.99 on the Miles driven. The afternoon gentleman offered to refund $0.79 but I declined it, I just wanted to finish and get going.Loren C.

The person who helped me wasvery nice, but I was running late and was unable to contact him to advise him of this situation. The phone number for this location goes to voice mail which was full. I had a tire blow out on the way to pick up the Uhaul and tried to contact him approximately 10 times. Luckily, my car can run on a flat so I limped there and told him I was going to late. He said he'd wait for me which he did (very kind) but it was still really stressful having to drive there on a flat tire when an answered call would have sufficed.Lynn R.

I was very disappointed in my recent U Haul experience . It was not The pick up locations fault. I went to pu truck and had to go to another location to pu the car trailer. On the way there the check engine light came on. When I went to the trailer pu the security gate was locked and only 1 truck was on the lot so I returned the truck with the check engine light on and the gentleman gave me another truck with the car trailer that he had on the lot. What an inconvenience!! When the loaders went to load, the hand cart and blankets were missing. What a nightmare. I have always rented with U haul in the past as my job moves me from time to time and never have had an experience like this. Also the gentleman at pu location quoted me a different price that was quoted when I made the reservation. I would like a receipt for this recent rental.Marie W.

My experience was great. I am thankful to the employees for asking if I would like the insurance on the rental truck. I was only moving one room of furniture. My move was under 20 miles. When I took the truck to refill the gas I noticed there was a gas leak from the gas tank. Sometimes just being careful is not good enough. Getting the 15 dollars insurance saved be form having a much larger expense.Gloria M.

used this uhaul location 2x already. in both times,we had good service and results. the second experience which was today, is much better than the first time. the first time, it was inside the office building manned by an older fellow who seemed to be overwhelmed by the number of customers waiting. this time around, they're outside of that office building, by a shed office with a service window at the side where you can just drive up to it. this time, they seemed to be more organized & efficient flow of traffic despite booking & office challenges ( their telephone lines were at that time). the gentleman manning the window. is quick & attentive. ( i didnt have to do all those online check- in & out thing). we just picked up & dropped the van back without any additional hassle in both occasions, i set up whole thing first by phone). yes, I would recommend this place to others for your moving and transport needs.Joffree B.

The original order was for 8 foot cargo van. I ended with a 10 foot box truck. At 6'4" there NO room for my legs. Absolutely the most uncomfortable driving experience I've ever had. However the young man checked out and then checked me back in was so polite, kind and helpful that I will go back there again.Stova A. D.
Although the location has much improved over the last couple of years, it is still very difficult to pick up timely. One of the auto transport trailer straps (passenger side) was very frayed to the point of worrying if it was going to break. THIS IS EXTREMELY BAD. You want this trailer to protect your vehicle not to hope the strap holds the wheel/vehicle in place. NOT GOOD!! PLEASE FIX IT ASAP! Thanks.Galen P.

Not a very safe area. When I returned the truck, there was a guy just kind of hanging out around there and since there was another lady there dropping off her truck too, my wife and I stayed with her until her ride showed up. Took over an hour for me to get a truck. Small lot. One way in and one way out lot was so small. Only one guy at the counter. I reserved a truck at 9am, but wasn't off the lot with it until after 10am. When I only have the rental for a certain amount of time, it can't be standing in your parking lot for a truckAndrew W.

The office is under staffed and the equipment is not well maintained. My reservation was during the peak hours on Saturday. The person in the office was stressed and feeling out of his depth. A crowd of eight of us waited over an hour to get our equipment. When one of the Black men waiting asked what was the delay, the staff called the police and accused him of assault. Assault!! Four cruisers rolled up b/c a white man claimed a Black man was threatening and scarey.DÃ© B.
I was disappointed with the pick up process at this location. I had scheduled a 9am pick up and didn't drive away with my rental until 9:57am. The attendant at this location got easily flustered and was struggling to operate the computer for the payment; reservation and giving of the keys. At one point the attendant left the office for about 10 minutes complaining about his work. Approximately 6 customers were waiting in line, in the hot sun during the hour or so I was there. An altercation occurred between two customers during this hour and the police were called to calm the situation and assess the altercation. One customer was asked to vacant the premises. During this hour of waiting, I called another location to see if they had a rental available. I would have traveled to this alternate location if I waited much longer. I would not recommend this location and I am hesitant to recommend and use uhaul in the future. I was very disappointed in the process of renting the vehicle at this location.TIMOTHY C.
When I arrived there was no one there due to the worker leaving because the computer was not working. The owner of the shop Nextdoor assisted me with calling the manager and he checked me in and set up the trailer rental over the phone and my email. It took over 45 minutes to get checked in and to leave with my trailer. I will not be back to this location ever.Brian M.

I rented a U-Haul for a whole day, a few hours later and demanded that I had the truck back the same day at 9pm I started to ask why the guy got an attitude then hung up tried to call back no answer... dropped it off like they wanted at 7pm. Extremely ghetto. Bad location. I had pre signed all stuff and the man took 20 mins to make me reprocess. He was NOT there at my reservation time therefore making me behind on my schedule after he made me do the paperwork etc. My reservation was 9am and I wasnt handed the keys til 9:37am. Also there was trash in the van I let them be aware of so I wouldnt get charged. Very poor service. I would not recommend this location, in fact I am renting a truck on Sunday to move things and will be going to Penske due to the fact I got treated so poorly today by that man and the other lady. It was a mideastern lady and a old smelly white man who was breathing cigarette rings into my face and hitting on me in a provocative manner. I arrived there bout 8:45 and at 9am called the number bc there was noone available, the lady said â€œoh the attendant probably went to get coffeeâ€ how is that my problem ? Will not be coming back. Due to how sketchy they are I took pictures of before and after the vehicle rental also got coverage online bc of how weird they are to get any sort of money.RACHELL A.

The truck I initially reserved was not available so I was upgraded to a bigger truck. For the move I was doing that was not an advantage. The location for pickup was also changed which was farther away from destination. I also reserved a hand dolly that I did not get with the truck. I called the location and was told someone would bring me a dolly that night. No dolly I called the next day and tried again. After about 2 hours someone brought me a dolly that wasn't even usable. It was very short and the handle wouldn't stay in so I had to borrow one to use. Basically this is the worst experience I've had renting a truck. I don't see myself using uhaul again in the future.JOHN C.

I frequently rented here. But this time was not right. Had someone else return. He forgot to top off gas, asked if it was okay to go do that. They said okay . The manager had a lot to overcome, in that the day I was to pick up my truck was Sunday, April 18, 2021, when your entire computer system went down in America. That alone cost me so much time and money. The manager tried to go out of his way to help me, and I appreciated it, but he and his staff are not knowledgeable about how to do things and I never felt secure anything was done properly. Then, the truck was SO old, no cruise control for a 7 hour trip, a miserable truck. Then, after denying the save move insurance, because I had already consulted with my state farm agent and acquired the extra insurance I needed, I was STILL charged for it, which again cost me more time. The whole uhaul experience was absolutely miserable. My son is moving in a couple of months. And I cannot imagine using Uhaul again. Which is sad because when I think of renting moving trucks, I think of Uhaul. It has to be the most recognizable name in moving in America. the only way I would ever use uhaul again is if I was guaranteed a truck with cruise control, and if uhaul was WAY cheaper than using another company.KELLY B.

Food was smeared in back of truck. Had to spend an hour cleaning the truck before we could use it. They told us the truck was clean and ready to go. It was raining so we took their word for it and left. Called business right away when we got home and saw the filthy truck. No response or call back. Bill was wrong I was charged for 3 days instead of one. Manager stated he fixed bill but we were still debited wrong amount. Had to dispute over charge through our bank. Workers tried to say truck was clean so glad we took time stamped pictures of the mess. They tried to say we did it. Why would I drive a truck home and throw food in it so I could clean it to load my own furniture! Rude, unprofessional, and filthy. I will tell everyone to stay away.MICHAEL R.

It was all supposed to be easily done through our mobile but it was nothing but easy. There was no key in the truck and the guy running the place kept on ignoring us. It took us over 20 mins to get the truck ready to go. Then the guy just hands us a key without any real questions. It was time consuming and confusing. I did the entire application on my own. The entire experience was very unprofessional. Chuck had no idea what he was doing. They lost the keys to the uhaul i was picking up. They tried to get into that uhaul with a slim jim and couldn't. Paul had to walk chuck through every little step. Chuck left a customers credit card info up on the computer screen for other customers who walked in, could see. I was supposed to pick the uhaul up at 1245, instead, i wasnt able to leave with a uhaul until 2:15 pm! While 4 other customers grabbed their uhaul and went. Worst experience of my life. The one man working in the shed serving as the office had no clue what he was doing. The shed WREAKED of cigarette smoke, he wore no mask, we could barely understand him and he repeatedly grumbled that he didn't know what the h**l he was doing. Apparently the guy who was supposed to work was off â€œleaving him high & dryâ€. He tried to call this person, was disconnected, then cursed the man's wife after she answered & it got disconnected. He cursed constantly, ended up calling the person again to finally complete the transaction after 45 minutes of us standing in this smelly, cold, filthy shed with him, unmasked, mouth breathing and cursing. We were then FINALLY able to drive across the street to the lot to pick up the trailer (which we had reserved earlier in the week online, inputting ALL of our information, including payment). The lot, located between two barred and padlocked businesses, was unplowed to the point of not being able to see the hitches of trailers. Thankfully we have a 4x4. While attempting to hook up, another customer pulled in & got stuck, which we helped to push back out onto a busy 4 lane road. About 45 minutes AFTER WE FINALLY LEFT WITH THE TRAILER, U-Haul left me a voicemail that they were going to cancel our reservation since we hadn't picked up. We also had initially reserved for 8 hours, but were told we could have it for only 6, which ended up being plenty of time, since we got a later start than planned & ended up using multiple vehicles after the lengthy time it took us to actually get to the move with the trailer following the fiasco. When the couple we helped move again, I'd quicker rent from our local U-haul in Holland, MI and tow it all the way to South Bend, IN before attempting to use that location againMatthew D.
