The morning of the day of picking up the truck I received a text to go to a different location to pick up the keys. I waited 10 minutes in line then asked to sit and check in. Total waste of my time. In the past I have liked the online pick up for quick efficient service.Shawn F.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They changed our truck and location multiples times with nothing but a â€œsorry, it is what it isâ€. We had a large 3 bedroom home to move and we had to fit it into a smaller truck and trailer after we had ordered the largest truck almost 2 months prior. We had to use our lots of gas and kms to drive all over the place because our pick up/drop off locations for the truck and trailer were all over the city. I had another customer service rep screaming at me over the phone to return the truck by our agreed upon drop off time (keep in mind, I still had 4.5 hours with the truck). And we had full intentions of returning it by 3pm. We even got it there an hour earlier. I won't ever go with uhual again. If you want your entire move to be screwed over, for sure, go with them! Otherwise. Go with anyone else.matthew L.

The only issue was getting a refund of the $60 deposit I paid for the blankets. I was told that a cheque will be mailed to me and that I would be contacted when the refund request had been forwarded. Two business days later and I have not yet received confirmation from the Barrie location that the cheque has been requested. It looks like I will have to follow up myself.W. Jeffrey F.

I wish I had known they did not have dollys and furniture movers. I ordered them online and found out when picking the truck up they do not have the equipment and there is no way to correct the UHAUL website. They apologized and said it was a flaw in the website. I would say fix it.MikeMiranda J.

Truck was well maintained. Cabin Interior could have been cleaner. There was a dried coffee stain on the windshield, in a rather obvious spot. Cleaned it to see the road. There were coffee stains on the middle seat back, found when we lowered it for an armrest. The drink holder rattles when there are drinks in them. No noise when it's empty.Lee W.

Rented car hauler. Ratchets needed to be lubricated. They were extremely hard to Rachel because they were not. I had to buy shackles because the hooks on the safety chains would not hook directly on the vehicle.Gerard M.

I was supposed to pick up the truck at 8:00 am and when I got there there was no one present and there was no key in the box for me to pick up the truck. Then when the person arrived at 9:00 am they were quite unpleasant and there was no apology for the fact that they had not prepared my vehicle ahead of time. Ensuring the vehicle has more than a 1/4 tank of gas in it prior to customer picking up rental would be really nice!!!! Having the truck (in my case 15ft truck) booked available. a larger truck for the same price was offered after expressing frusturation about the vehicle originally booked not being available.AMANDA A.
The vehicle was not road worthy. First off there was an exhaust leak that could beheard and smelt the entire time in the cabin. Secondly, the drivers side wiper arm did not work and wouldn't clear the windshield. I was almost involved in an accident due to the fact I could not see the roadway when neededSTEPHEN L.

Instead I was sent a collections notice for not paying, which is when I was finally given an online payment option. Used this location multiple times. Customer service is poor, the employees and owners have little to no concept of Ontario road and traffic laws. Many of the vehicles have check engine lights on. I use this location due to convince of where it is in barrie, bit I'll probably no longer be using it and will be using a different location. Also, the U-Haul app is Garbage. None of the photo capture aspects work and the customer service rep had a hell of a time sorting things out on her end. She was a saint. But you guys need to do better.Cornelis D.
The tie downs in the trailers are cheap & week. Put some solid ones in the floors. Had one let go. It was pure luck or the grace of god and I don't go to church, that the load made home upright.HARDY K.
Put windshield washer in vehicle in the winter and don't not rent trucks out that require servicing and DO NOT DRIVE FORWARD, when there is a bit of snow. Don't rent these trucks in the winter. They only offered me $25 towards my next rental as compensation. They also left a message that they could not find the truck I returned and threatened to charge me for an extra day. Did not have the the moving blankets I ordered and I see no where I was given a credit. Found the place hard to fined as the sign telling me U-Haul was very small to see. Also I was changed the pick up location from Wasaga Beach to Barrie but was not given any extra miles to cover the drive back to Wasaga Beach. It was really a bad experience renting from this location. Even if it was regular working hours the office was closed when I went there. I had a confirmed guaranteed booking. Finally after calling the office number multiple times someone picked up the phone. He asked to share over phone my credit card number, expiry, name on card and even CVV security of the credit card. He told if I don't share that with him I will not be given the truck. It was such a bad experience from uhaul and the center.Aju S.

Easy access and friendly service from the rep however one service strap on the trailer broke and the other one held but just barely. I reported this to the rep and he promptly sent the trailer for repairs. Luckily I had my own straps to secure my vehicle to the auto hauler. I have used these devices many times and they are always fantastic to use. I highly recommend U-Haul!!bill B.

I made reservation for a trailer for Saturday, November 13 at another location. Up on arrival at the designated time, I was informed that trailer wasn't available. I had to change my moving date that was already arranged in advance. That is unacceptable, horrible experience!! Upon talking to main office rep and rearranging to another date and location, I was told that will be compensated for the mistake and inconvenience caused by Uhaul. That was never materialized nor mentioned upon my rental second time. No compensation, no credit. Will not tent again!Ilya N.

Should have taken my own picture of the odometer reading before I even drove away. I only went back he distance if 6.2km 4 times which is 31 kms they Claimed I drove about 54kms and charged me extra. I will Never use uhaul ever again for any of my moves nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. I will find another my bing company to deal with in the future.Shannan A.
I actually went to 3 Uhaul locations before renting. On 484 Essa Rd they were impolite, did not have the stock indicted online and the entrance was difficult at best to find. At 10 Anne st there was a note on the door to be back in 15 minutes with a phone number. At Dunlop St W we tried again. It was like a port in a storm! The service was polite, efficient, capable and quick. They even sourced out last minute equipment for me from another UHaul and met me at the alternate location to ensure all went well. Above and beyond. Amazing service. Amazing experience. Will never go to another Uhaul in town again; SUPER Excellent rating. 17 stars :)JESSIE L.

Rented a u-haul truck from 4-10pm. Couldn't get the truck until almost 5pm because the moblie pickup sucks. I couldn't verify my drivers license and then I couldn't get the lock open to get my key. Next time I will be renting a truck from home depot.Ana C.

The UHaul system is terrible and seems designed to just "nickel and dime" the customer. Many fees are not mentioned up front and you have to check the fine print on the contract for added items. This makes it a very unpleasant experience. There was an "environmental fee" that was never mentioned and there was an "after hours drop off fee" that was not mentioned at all. I would not recommend UHaul to anyone.PAUL H.
