The guy checking my equipment was extremely rude. If this was my only experience with Uhaul I would never use them again.

Laura SVery rude , no customer service whatsoever. Moved in town and ending up paying $100 for one day rental and I replaced all gas used . I should’ve kept my gas money and used it a lot more miles for $100 . Then called to ask why I was charged $100 the lady was so rude . I’ve never heard of someone paying $100 for a one day in town move . I will absolutely never use a uhaul . The worst experience. So much for “$19.99 rental” hell I was even fine with $50 but $100 is ridiculous. Didn’t use any of their equipment (dolly/boxes) . Just keep in mind they are clearly money hungry . Just don’t expect a dollar back even if you keep it clean and replace the gas

norman gYou shifted my pickup location from Veedersburg, IN to Danville, IL. That change involved a time change and delayed me by an hour picking up my truck. I had scheduled a labor crew to meet me, based on Indiana time. If I can find a more reliable company concerning this detail. I will not be using U-Haul again. The truck and supplies were all fine but switching my pickup location this time and the last time I rented from U-haul in Bowling Green, Ohio is not acceptable.

ben fPicked up on a Friday using self serve was supposed to have a appliance dolly but it did not. Then I went to return the truck and there location was having the parking lot done. No one called and told us this was trying to return truck so I went to the next door parking lot and parked it there where it looks like someone else had done. Very upsetting.

Mark LI went in-house to order the truck for a Sunday so we had to use the app in order to get the truck. The app kept telling us that it wasn't available and people that we talked to said it wasn't available. Yes they tried we waited an hour and a 1/2 for a manager to come in and straighten it out.
MARY BI will say once I got to the above drop off it was wonderful as ranks show. The problem was we wanted to drop off after hours and our original place had a locked gate. All uhaul systems were down we found out later. Link for drop off picks etc. sent through text messaging kept saying system error. Very very frustrating. Had to drive truck back across town to home and wait till next morning to find an 800 number to call. I was Reassigned a closer destination to drop off and everything went smoothly for return. Thankfully my tank of gas was still full even after driving across town the night before.

A liquid like substance like coffee had been previously spilt and was dried up on the floor mats. Drove off the lot and didn’t get a mile away when low gas warning came on. But like I mentioned, it got the job done.

destinia sThe people at this location couldn't be nicer or more helpful. I've rented from this and several other locations before with no issues, but this time the truck was egregiously in need of maintenance. The alignment is off significantly and the steering column was extremely loose. This was fine at low speed, but at even 50 mph on the interstate meant constant correction and jerking of the steering wheel over every bump, and feeling extremely unsafe. As a contract nurse, I've moved well over 20 times and rented many moving trucks both larger and smaller than this- but this was the only time I've felt that maintenance issues resulted in an unsafe situation. I ended up getting off the interstate and taking country roads that I could more safely go 45-50 mph on, and this added both to the mileage I had to pay as well as several hours to an already long moving week.
Candis RAppliance dolly had paint peeling from it. Had reserved the dolly and was told they didn't have one and then did have one after checking. Wanted to purchase boxes and they said they were all out of the ones from u-haul because nothing gets replenished by u-haul (boxes, dollies, etc). Sold me 18x18 boxes from their store for almost 5 dollars each. Truck was clean and well maintained.

Jerry kIt's no that I wouldn't recommend this location, rather I wouldn't recommend uhaul in general. Another example of big business, get less pay more. Probably never renting from them again, and I use uhaul a lot. 96 degrees an ac in truck barely blew cold.

Jair JWhen I rent gas tank was3/4 full. When I return gas tank was full. I asked to adjust in my bill. The gentleman told he doesn’t have power. No big deal. Otherwise everyone was very kind and helpful. Nice experience.

JOANN RLOVE this place...all genuinely friendly and caring even though are often very busy. I did notice the smell of smoking in the vehicle--not a huge deal to me, and I didn't think much ot it until I saw the warning on the door of "No Smoking". I became concerned that I would be responsible for a previous driver's action. I'd suggest if it's a policy that it be part of the check-out process.

Angel AThe truck had mud in it and I had a quarter tank when I left and brought it back with more than I started with but didn't get anything back from them. The back had dirt in it and I left it as I got it still coated me a lot more than I thought. Last time I used Penske it was a lot cheaper and they washed it out before I picked it up. So I believe that this place has not been giving back what they say they will. This is the third time I used the company and they kept my deposit twice now. Don't get it when it's dirty or your deposit is gone.

NICHOLE THire more people, move to a bigger location, separate shipping boxes and the UHaul businesses, all easier said than done, but that place was busy constantly while I was there. The employees were great, but overworked!
