Did not have as much contact with them as I did the pick up location but they were very efficient. It is in a convenience/ gas store so was very easy to gas up there and turn the equipment in.Kevin F.
The people were very rude upon my arrival to pick up my truck. I had a situation where I needed 2 large (26 foot) trucks. I went on a Monday to pick up my first truck and minimal problems. I told the lady at the counter that I would be back the next day to pick up my second truck and she acknowledged that she would have it and see me then. When I arrived there was NO truck!!! After I was ignored for about 30 min upon discovering her mistake she informed me that she looked at the wrong date and that she did not have a truck for me. I had to drive 45 min one way TWICE for these trucks and she did not have it. I was then sent to another location to get a 15 foot truck and the people working there had NEVER administered a U-haul rental and thus took approximately 45 min. trying to check me out. After I finally got my last truck (NOT the 26 footer I needed) I went home to load up only to discover that not everything would fit. I ended up having to leave my possession (I had professional packers/truck drivers loading my trucks) 6 HOURS from where I was moving to. I will NEVER use U-haul again. I called the next day and talk to a random person and all they were willing to give me was an extra days rental ðŸ™„. The entire experience was horrible. To top it off the windshield wipers were spilt and waving around like a banner during one of the hardest rains I have driven through. I was just awful!!!! I would HIGHLY recommend using another company!!!Kryssi K.

I called the location 4 times (over the course of 2 days) and told the employee that I needed to reserve a trailer and was told each time to call back later. During one of the short conversations, I told the employee on the phone that I needed to reserve the smallest trailer ($14.95) and was told it would be there, but to call back later (in an hour, in three hours, tomorrow morning, etc). When I arrived to pick up the trailer (after never being able to talk to anyone to specifically reserve the trailer), the employee was very frazzled and was very unsure of the process of completing the paperwork for the transaction. She told me they didn't have the size trailer I needed (I told her that I was told it would be there, to which she stated "I don't know what happened to it...it doesn't show it was rented out...maybe they just came and got it"). She told me the only size they had cost $29.95 to rent (plus $8 for insurance). I was already feeling that this establishment did not want my business, and then to be told I was going to pay twice the price for more room than I needed. I was renting this uhaul to transport doughnuts for a school fundraiser and had my tax-exempt letter, but the employee did not know how to complete the paperwork to remove the taxes, so I paid them. I was very unhappy with the experience and will not be eager to do business with them in the future.Christy J.

There was very very few U-haul products available. As a repeat customer i did not like having to pay a deposit!!! I've always returned your products in great condition and on time!!! Also when i returned the truck this time i was told my deposit would be mailed to me and that was not mentioned when i was asked to pay it. The people in Doniphan where i returned it knew me and refuned the deposit right there. But still as a repeat customer i thought that was Bullshit!!!Michael H.

We had to drop off the truck and no one wanted to do there job . and when you have a drop off date on Sunday no one is there to look at the truck and now I have to wait for the person to come in and see and get my deposit back.Donna H.

Well I did not want the insurance and they click yes on insurance. I even filled it out on line with no insurance. They stated they did not want to redo and would take that off when we came back. Well still had to pay for 2 days of insurance I did not want. They did not take it off as promised.Delina F.

Tried to charge me $45 for the 1/8th tank difference, said my paperwork stated 1/4 tank and we wouldbe charged $15 for fuel plus $30 forrefueling fee. We added enough to put back to. 1/4 tank individual made us bring Dollys back inside their station, we've never been asked to do this before. Per your website the truck was to get 10 miles per gallon. It barely got 5. The extra expenses between the reduced mileage and incorrect fuel level was significant.Nancy B.

Have patience with the customer. Work on people skills and treat customers with respect. Being honest and truthful with the customer. The contract and pricing was not gone over so my total bill was much higher than I was originally quoted.Edward W.

There is only 1 person who "handles" the U-Haul and she was not there the first day I tried to turn it in and I was told I could not turn it in. The next day which was my last day to turn it in without having to pay for another day they also said she was not there. I insisted they take my truck turn in and left them my phone number in case they needed me for anything. They need to train more employees to handle a turn in or the 1 person needs to be there more.Lynda R.

I had to wait two hours for my vehicle and then it was different than what it was supposed to be. They said the price would be changed to the original contract. When I returned it it was not fixed. I had to spend an extra 45 minutes to get them to fix it. The person was rude. I will not recommend u haul to anyone.KRISTY W.

The trailer had no jack on it, so when we disconnected it from the truck it tilted and we could not get it hooked back on to the truck before we had to empty it out. The guy at the piedmont Mo location did not walk around the trailer to inspect for damages, did not help hook it to the truck - didn't even go outside at all. Asked my husband if he wanted a copy of the safety issues or just have them read and my husband stated either one so the guy just said "be careful".CHRISTOPHER R.

we had to go from one tow dolly to another one because the tail light was out it took to long because we had to change to another one. The person handling it was mean and not very helpful. saying while if the next one don't work I don't know what to tell you we had to work on it to get it ready for us to use it!!!!Jessica W.

The service was incredibly poor, the lady was rude, and attempted to charge me extras i didnt ask for, when i disagreed with her about the price she attempted to insult me by saying that is was all sales tax and i didnt know the fees when she was actually attemoting to change me for equipment and insurance which i had opted out of, when i finally got her to remove those charges, she insulted me again by saying that my insurance wouldnt cover the uhaul and the proceeded again to tell me i didnt know what i was talking about. i had spoje to my insurance company before renting the vehicle and per my insurance every vehicle i drive is covered, this is why i opted out of insurance, i dont know if she works off a commission, but she seemed to get as much money out of me as she could and was rude and disrespectful when i disputed the charges and had the price lowered.jeremiah J.

I reserved a truck through U-Haul at the location in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. I was informed the day before my pick-up date that I would have to drive 40 miles north to Piedmont to pick the truck up, and would not be able to pick it up until 11:00 am. So, I called the location in Piedmont immediately after receiving this information to ask if it were possible to pick it up earlier, the lady on the phone stated it would be fine and that someone would be there at 7:00 am and throughout the day. We called the morning of pick-up to assure someone would be there at 9:00 am when we drove through Piedmont to assign the truck to us, again we were assured someone would be there. Upon arrival, (my parents were the ones picking it up on their way down from St. Louis) my parents had to wait almost an hour for someone to show up to issue the truck to them. The customer service was very poor-my parents were just handed the keys and not walked to the truck to inspect it to ensure the truck was in clean, working order. There was trash in the cup holders and under the seats and it smelt of cigarette smoke. After loading up in Poplar Bluff, heading towards St. Louis, we noticed that the inner rear driver side tire was shredded and barely there. We dropped the truck off that night with a note stating the condition of the tire, I also called the district representative for this location and spoke with him of the condition of the truck upon pick-up. This was a very poor experience, and I would not suggest using U-Haul to anyone, including myself, in the future.danielle Z.

no one there when we got there to rent even though it was previously set up with the time. Tried to get truck but was told there was no way unless WE drove to Ellington & picked it up ourselves but when we made other plans & pulled up to the place, there sat a TRUCK! We even called the assistant manager to see if they would bring a truck to Piedmont. Told no way he could do thatHAROLD B.

The location is convenient for dropping off in Piedmont, Missouri, but the store smells from Cigarette Smoke, the representative was so busy doing multiple tasks to give good customer service and she also was not very friendly to do business with.DEBRA J.

We had to drive almost 40 miles to pick up truck... That cost us extra gas and time. Could not understand why there was not one locally or was not given a credit for the gas to drive it back to our townterry S.
The people I dropped off with were a little uncertain at what time my contract would end, but when I told I couldnt even get the other pick up place to give me the van for at least 2 hours after I had it reserved, they really helped me by running the credit card on file vs making me drive to the store again, that really helped! This Piedmont, MO location was wonderful. The 800 number service was atrocious. They at first set us up with vendors who were closed the day we booked for (Sunday) and did not tell us this until the last minute. And then began to switch us from site to site (still other vendors who were closed the day we booked pickup) futther and futher away from out home, until my wife asked them about another small town near our home - Piedmont. They replied, "Yes. We have a vendor in Piedmont. I don't know why that didn't pop up earlier" NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GO THRU THE 800 NUMBER.lila G.
