I'd like a call from the customer service place for a refund/ Compensation for my time it put me way behind on my moving schedule I had lots of people helping me move that also had to wait 2 hours just for me to get the keys for the truck you should have my other notes on there that my girlfriend had put I'm just not happy at all and I have used u-haul before but will never be doing it by an app for pickup because I have No one to have help me if need be.

Originally had on line reservation at location off of Goshen Road in Fort Wayne. Arrived at scheduled time and there was no trailer available, even tho I had reserved in the day before and this was supposed to be guaranteed. Was given a story that trailer must have been stolen…. Was then going to be given a truck at same price, but truck wouldn't start, supposedly had been fixed the day before. Then sent to another location, which didn't open up for another 45 minutes. Luckily the gentleman was there early and more than willing and helpful to get us on our way. Frustrating part was that I specifically discussed importance of getting the trailer as early as possible, even did all of the on line check as recommended for ease and timeliness, due to a number of people waiting for us to arrive and the necessity of keeping to a schedule. The woman helping us at the first location was very apologetic and helpful, but the whole process was very haphazard, uncoordinated and unprofessional. I was promised a full refund of my fees due to all of the inefficiency and delay, still waiting to see this. I was promised an email detailing all of this and I have yet to see it. The second location was very helpful, but I will not be recommending or using U-Haul again.

The truck we received had not been properly cleaned, as our check-out pictures show. Especially given the COVID pandemic this is an especially significant shortfall in basic respect for your customers. Additionally, while it didn't prove to be significant, the check engine light was on in the vehicle. Neither the moving blankets nor dolley had the typical tamper tags installed, leading us to believe that both had been used by whomever previously used the vehicle. Lastly, the automated check-out procedure didn't work properly, taking nearly an hour to resolve. Valuable time when you have people waiting to help you move. Having rented from U-haul many times in the past, including two recently, this experience certainly wasn't up to the standards we've experienced in the past.

There was nobody available during normal business hours. The parking lot had snow that was 3"-4" deep to the point the rental truck and trailer was almost stuck. When I came back to return the truck (I had returned the trailer earlier) there was one of the large, truck-sized vans parked perpendicular to the entryway that I had to carefully squeeze my van through, again in a snow-filled lot, almost getting stuck again. The worst part of this was U-Haul texting me, mid rental after the van and trailer were returned, to tell me they had decided to change my dropoff location REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE SIGNED CONTRACT CLEARLY STATED. Now, having rented U-haul before, I know you are more than happy to charge extra fees if I return to a different location, but when you attempt to make my move more difficult it's just normal business? You are aware Penske rents the same size vans and trailers too, right?

Check in by phone was problematic. I was instructed to use a code for a lockbox that didn't exist. Fortunately an employee (or the owner) of the location arrived just then to deliver part of my rental equipment and he helped me get the keys. All else went well.

We originally reserved a U-Haul to be picked up at the U-Haul location located about a mile away from us. We were notified two days before pick-up that they would not have the truck available at that location. We have to drive about 30 miles away to pick up our truck, which was an inconvenience. However, Mike, the person who called us to set up an alternative pick up site, and Todd, the contact person at the site, could not have been nicer! Everything was set up for pick-up, so the process was very efficient. We would highly recommend this site for U-Haul.

Our pick up location was changed at the last minute by Uhaul because the previous customer didn't have the truck back in time for us to pick it up. It would have been nice to have the mileage from the new location deducted from the amount it would have been from the closer location I chose since it wasn't our fault the location was changed.

Both locations pick up and drop off or excellent! Did not take long to get hooked up and on our way. And then at the Destiination we just drop the trailer and left perfect!

I was to return the truck by 6pm and arrived at 5:47pm. The shop individual had already locked up but was talking with someone outside. Had he not been outside and I had been just a few minutes later (but before 6pm), I would not have caught the shop manager and would've had to pay for another day I presume. This is the only issue I could have had.

The base of the trailer was dirty and needed to be cleaned out , we couldn't put anything of value on the base of trailer because of this . The uhaul needed more tie downs inside, we weren't able to bring everything we had planned on moving because of it . This was our first time traveling and using U-Haul to move , will be using U-Haul again but may get different a trailer to accommodate our move .
