The customer experience is extremely variable. Depending on whose working and, since it is also a convenience store, how many other types of customers are there.

Human feces in the front of trailer. Did not see it until starting to load. Had to clean as much of it up as I could to use trailer. No one available to help hook up trailer or available when I drop trailer. I was charged a one way fee, when I was told on recorded line that I would not be charged. So I drove it back to get my one way fee back.

Someone needs to maintain this equipment. I had to troubleshoot the wiring on the trailer to get the lights working. They rented me the trailer and I did the hookup when they informed me upon arrival that their uhaul business was closed between 11 AM and 1 PM. Not a problem, I haven't a problem with hooking up a trailer but then the lights didn't work. The employee, Steve, implied the problem was in my trucks wiring or fuses, etcetera. He told me to figure it out before I interrupted him again and let him know when I had the problem solved. I didn't have tools or meter to work with but over the course of a half hour I determined my wiring was functional. (which I believed to be the case from the beginning) I then addressed troubleshooting the trailer wiring which is where the defect actually existed. This delay caused me to be behind schedule and caught in Tacoma's rush hour traffic. Also the ratchets for the trailer tie downs were almost nonfunctional from lack of lubrication which caused more delay. With a great deal of effort I was able to make them work in spite of their neglected condition. Please maintain your equipment.

This is a very busy location for a fuel stop. The employees are very busy dealing with fuel transactions leaving very little time to deal with U-haul customers. Long wait periods. You may want to look at a person full time here to deal with U-haul customers and cleaning and servicing the equipment.

The drop off took a long time as there was a customer ahead of me that had issues with their drop off location. I ended up having to wait about an hour to drop off the uhaul. The staff person was nice and helpful though.

Price:. Good grief, I had truck for 5 hours and drove 101 miles. Paid . 89 cents per mile. I will not use U-haul again Your price was exorbitant.

1:Have a dedicated desk for u-haul. The agent was overwhelmed trying to run the cash register at a crowded gas station while processing uhaul contracts. 2: better signage "uhaul returns park here" type of sign.

We purchased a 2 full day rental however, the trailer was double booked and we were forced to make a rapid return do to their error. We technically had the trailer until 9am on Sunday and they changed it to be returned in 18 hours even though we paid for 48 hrs. Not happy.

I reserved a truck in ellensburg and then without any notification beforehand was sent to Kittitas to pick up the truck- and the workers at the Ellensburg location were rude about it. When arriving in Kittitas the workers there were also rude and told us to come back 2 hours later for no reason just because the store was busy, and then after having to debate with them they finally let us use the truck that we reserved.

We were upgraded to a larger truck because this location didn't have the size we requested. Upon pick-up the battery light came on for a few minutes and then went back off. Thinking nothing of it we drove it to our home and loaded everything. The next morning the battery light came on again and we noticed fluid leaking from the tire well. Luckily I had my father with me who knew that the fluid was the tire wheel seal. We called the road side service who requested that we drive the truck into a repair shop. We waited 2-3 hours while they repaired both the tire and battery issue. We were only able to fit two out of the three people into our personal vehicle so the third person waited in a empty house for us to return from dropping off the truck.

The Shell station is a busy hub of activity. The Uhaul computer is stuck in one corner behind the retail checkout counter. They should have a designated desk for conducting Uhaul transactions, away from the foot traffic of their retail customers.

Perhaps a checklist for the customers would be good. I forgot the trailer adapter and a fuse was out for my trailer lights. Would have been good to have a reminder. I did get a flat and Melissa (with Customer Service) was AMAZING!!! So nice and patient and the tire repair company (Klamath, OR) were great, they had the tire off an me on the road in less than 30 min...from the time of the flat!! :-)

Truck had debris, dirt, leaves in the back. The lady helping added the most expensive insurance when I only said the 14.99 basic one without my authorization, resulting in a way higher charge to my card than I agreed to.

This was the worst Uhaul experience of my life!!! I use Uhaul all the time and the woman working the counter was rude and had no idea how to do her job. It was disgraceful. She made us wait for a half hour while she helped another customer and was having issues because from what I could tell she didn’t know how to enter what he wanted into the computer. It wasn’t until I came up to her and asked how much longer we were going to wait that she finally helped me. And this was after telling my husband he needed to unhook the trailer himself and park it in the lot for her. I want a refund. Because not only was I just waiting I was waiting with my newborn daughter this errand should have taken min and it took and hour.

No one looked in the back of the truck before they gave it to us. There was a 2' square hole in the floor where someone had been working on the gas tank. There were also three large piles of moving blankets inside, so many that we were not able to carry everything we needed to as the blankets took so much room. We were also charged $7 for a hand-truck that said it would only be charged if we used it. We didn't use it but were still charged. The sign in the truck also said we would receive a $25 refund if we folded all blankets and swept the truck. We did both and did not receive a refund. If this is no longer policy the sign needs to be removed.

During the week of June17 - 23, I relied greatly on U-Haul to support my needs for equipment related to my clearing a house and moving some items to Ellensburg, WA. I easily spent in excess of $500 with U-Haul on the effort. However, because I turned the 5X8 trailer into the Kittitas, WA location a few hours late, I was charged a late fee in excess of $30. The local agent apparently had no leeway to waive the excessively high late fee. UNLESS THIS FEE IS REFUNDED IMMEDIATELY, I WILL DO EVERYTHING IN MY CONTROL TO AVOID USING U-HAUL IN THE FUTURE - FOREVER!!! I will be moving a full household halfway across the country in the near future. Whether you are part of that move or not is up to you!............Michael Whelan

Customer service was great....tried to return truck by your website but it would not allow me to do so....attempt to add miles readings failed...your web site needs work...you also charged me for additional mileage but you failed to take in consideration that I had to go out of my way to pick up truck...

The lady that processed my rental was clueless. I explained to her that I have never hauled a trailer before and wanted to make sure everything was hooked up right. She didn't even know how to him the trailer to my truck, she had to ask a customer getting gas for assistance. She then told me to sell assistance else where when it came to loading the car in the trailer. My pick up experience was very bad,. I do not recommend this location

The day before I called to make sure the rental could be picked up early the women who answered the phone was two busy to answer my questions and I was told . And I quote I'm all alone here and I have customers I have to go. very rudely she wasn't alone because apparently another lady took the phone from her and after I said um I'm sorry I was just trying to see if it was Ok to come early and I thought I was a PAYING customer as she tried to apologize I didn't want to be rude so flustered I finished than hung up. Praying my rental would be there tomorrow because I had to dive seven hours to Ellensburg to pick it up from Montana only to show up to a clusterfk of crazy besides the wind blowing us off are feet and no customer help dirt blowing in are faces and teeth. A fuze was blown in the tow so we had to dive back in forth from Ellensburg to Kittitas uhaul twice because the gas station had no fuses and the dude was to busy to help and wouldn't let us leave until I went and PAID for a fuse which caused us to be late returning to Ellensburg to pick up are broke down car because the dealer had closed and to top it all off uhaul did not tell me after they charged an obscene amount for a tow dolly 270 $ they charged me an extra 200 hold on my debit card that still hasn't been released and we returned the dolly the same day in the port angeles location . I want my 200 deposit back and I don't plan on ever using uhaul again.
