Truck was dirty in the back. There was a half-empty soda in the cab. The Check Fuel Cap light kept flashing. The truck was nearly empty of gas at pickup, and the receipt said it had more than it did. The engine light was on. The back door jammed open, so I lost a whole day of moving and was forced to empty the truck at midnight to avoid having all of my things stolen. The steering was horrIble. It veered all over the place. I’ve rented several trucks, and this is the worst I’ve ever driven!

Every uhaul I have had in the past 6 months drives terrible and has terrible alignment. Nobody reached out the last time I had a concern. I would like to be compensated

I was disappointed by the representative at the computer, at the front desk. When I walked in I expected to be greeted with the common, hello, I'll help you in a moment. Instead I just received a blank stare. Thankfully the older gentleman next to the counter greeted and helped me and my son.

Instructions where to park returned equipment

Wheel well and light was damaged. The frame from the wheel well was about 1/4 inch from touching the tire with no load in the trailer. Loaded it would probably rub against the tire, tech had to bend it out before I left. Equipment with possible safety issues should never be rented out without proper repair.

This uhaul had over 130,000 miles on it and it was the scariest bluegills I have ever driven. Completely unsafe for the road. The alignment was way off and the steering wheel was extremely loose. I will never rent from uhaul again.

Theres absolutely no customer service or assistance. I reserved 10 ft had to accept 15ft & pick up location change. Service consists of online application that doesn't even work. I had to figure everything out on my own & drop the truck off without the app working or anyone being present. The entire experience was frustrating.

The fuel gage was listed on the receipt as 1/8 full when I received the truck which is very ambiguous to say the least. I was NEVER shown any of this before I entered the truck. No one reviewed any receipts with me as I requested it via email. Upon entering the truck I noticed that the tank was nearly empty. So empty that we had to immediately purchase gas. Pursuant to this I took a picture of the gas gage and mileage because I anticipated a gas overcharge upon returning the truck. I might mention that 5 minutes after I got in the truck I received a call from a rather terse person asking if I was going to return the truck on time. Thirsty? Weird? So when I returned the truck to Uhaul in Long Beach CA at 4540 Cherry I was confronted by an employee hell bent on charging $40 surcharge for gas. I explained to him we are returning the truck the way we received it and I have a pic of the gas gauge at the start of our trip. I also took a pic of the gauge at the end of my trip in anticipation of this nonsense. Anyhow not only was I livid about receiving an empty truck in the first place but now I’m totally exasperated by the $40 surcharge. I will contact the CA attorney General and the local media regarding this “extortion” if the surcharge isn’t reversed. Respectfully Anthony Mills

The person who rented me the truck did not include the dolly that we rented. She also said the truck had 1/2 tank of gas, but it was closer to 1/4. The inside of the truck (cab and back) were totally dirty. There was a maxi pad stuck to the front left wheel.

The building is not marked U-haul, and was not easily found.. No one came out to help couple the trailer, The trailer was on a grade and litterally rolled towards our truck, stopping before hitting it. The trailer's light plug/lead was rediculously short requiring a extension cable.

They left back of truck unlocked, someone opened it and used blankets & slept in truck!! Getting the truck keys was difficult…mobile phone pickup is good process, but needs work.

I set up rental three days in advance. Truck was delivered without dollies/appliance dolly, moving blankets, all ordered previously. I then had to drive down the street in rental truck wasting gas to another uhaul dealer to pick up equipment. Once I got there, they of course didn’t have a record of my equipment order. Luckily I take screen shots of everything and had my email receipt. Also, I was also dissatisfied with the fact that uhaul gave me a truck with 1/4 tank of gas....as if they can’t ensure it’s at least 1/2 full??? Perhaps they don’t make enough money and can’t afford it. I know we the customer pays for their gas, but at least ensure trucks are 1/2 way full!! Turning in truck was also a nightmare as website kept saying “turn gps location on”. IT’S ON!!! So I had to wonder all night whether someone would steal the dollies from the back of the truck and I’d be charged for it??? Luckily I got a receipt the next day. At least I got a truck though, gentleman in front of me didn’t even get his for about 45 minutes. Poor, poor, poor customer service. Really made me angry to have to go pick up equipment...since when did I work for U-Haul?!! Terrible.
