I was disappointed to see that I had been charged $50 for fueling, especially since I had added $5 of fuel to go 8 miles and that the gauge was higher upon return than when I left. This situation was handled professionally and efficiently by Sabir ( I believe was his name) which is why I would recommend this location.Denan B.
I have used UHaul for the past 4 years and all has been wonderful until now! I placed an order for a 6x12 trailer, that was a no show and rescheduled to a location 40 minutes away then the next trailer was canceled due to an incorrect t phone number and apparently I had to call back to confirm the appointment so in the end we had no choice but to keep the trailer 40 minutes out of our way. Tough few days until the move. Never sure of what was going to happen next.Gisele G.

Overall, it was a good experience. Friendly workers got me in and out quickly and let me use the vehicle I needed (10' truck versus 15' truck) for 2 hours. But there's no customer parking at this facility. I had to park close to a mile away in a very sketchy neighborhood. So day users beware and plan to have a spouse/friend pick up your car.Stanley R.
Honor the pickup location or, at least, something close by. When I called the scheduler to indicate that my pickup location was identified as Palmdale until less than 48 hours prior, she was unsympathetic and would only offer additional miles which I could care less about. This is a gross misrepresentation of the intent of the reservation. . I will never again rent with U Haul unless they make it right with me for this rental.RANDOLPH L.

Please put the hours for the drop off location on the contract and in the email confirmation. Dropped off at 4:15 and they were closed. Had to detach trailer and leave it. Then figured out that I needed to check out online. Went back and did the online check out. No note about that on their door. Just said after hours drop key in drop box. How about after hours follow online checkout procedure? I figured it all out, but could have been a little more info.Gretchen M.

The woman in the rental office was exceptionally helpful and really made my experience excellent.She needs a raise! It was the first time I had rented a trailer from U-Haul and she gave me lots of information which helped my confidence tremendously! Would definitely rent from that location again.Jill W.
The office was empty when I got there. I hung out for a few minutes before going to look for someone in the mechanic shop that shares the location. I was told that there wasn't room for the trailer, but u-haul had directed me there instead of the location I had requested. I left there not sure if the return was going to be processed correctly(it was). In the end it wasn't terrible, just not as smooth as I felt it could have been.Matthew P.

Staff at location was friendly and helpful. Check engine light went on as so apparently needed maintenance. But for the short trip it ran fine. Truck was clean. I reserved a different size UHaul from a different location and was involuntarily redirected to this location and booked a larger vehicle which was less desirable due to access constraints at my moving locationâ€¦ caused extra heartburn and effort but it all worked out. Overall I was disappointed with the reservation process but the pickup/drop off were good.Tim R.

This location will not answer their phone, or return your voice mails. And after using them twice, I have left several unreturned messages. You have to drive down there to talk to someone, and when you get there the are literately sitting right by the phone. I was charged for 111.1 miles when I only traveled 34.1 miles. No body there and sign on door saying computer was down so no u-haul business could be done Left key and contract in drop box this was at 11 on a Monday morning A few weeks earlier I had a cross country 12 foot trailer to drop off and the person there was not doing anything but just shouted to unhook and leave No young jack and I could not lift it off the ball until another customer was able to help me I will not use that location againrobert M.

The pick up logistics are very unclear and staff are not very helpful. Additionally, the phone check in process shows you directions and a map that makes you believe there is customer parking available and uses arrows to guide you through the process. However, the map is erroneous and even the staff member said the map was wrong and she had never seen such thing. We had to park a few miles out.Alan F.
The headlights on the truck that we rented were either misaligned or the plastic cover is extremely fogged up or dirty, such that the lights barely made a dent. We only needed them for the last half hour of our trip, so it was not a huge problem.Robert F.

The person that hooked up the trailer had trouble getting the lights to work. He ended up telling me that they were working but a little dim. I drove 400 miles to be finally pulled over and told that they didn't work at all. I had my plug on my truck tested and it was fine, the wiring on the trailer was bad.mark M.

Just a minor comment. The exterior of the truck should have been cleaner, most notably the windshield and mirrors. The truck was missing tie down straps and that location did not have any, so had to purchase these elsewhere. The truck itself was clean on the inside and drove fine. Everything else worked great.Terry M.
The equipment requested in addition to the truck was not even provided. I've distributed the bill and attempted to call this location three different times to have the furniture dolly and refrigerator dolly taken off the bill. They have not answered or returned any calls I have placed. Now I feel I'm going to have to dispute the bill with my credit card company as I am not being appropriately charged. No one has ever answered the phone, it always goes to voicemailâ€¦ The price is good, but if you want any equipment... good luck.Jon S.

When I needed a truck to move a house full of furniture from Morro Bay California south 263 miles to Glendora. I looked to the local Postal Annex Michael Camero to handle all the arrangements as he does with most all my office needs in overnight delivery services. I can trust him to get it right. The arrangements were handled and it was seamless like a action plan. Thank you to Audrey who took care of me in San Luis Obispo. Uhaul screwed up my efforts to rent a simple 4x8 enclosed trailer 2x in my own town, forcing me into a 1hr round trip to rent the unit far away. It cost me 2 hours of travel time to rent/return, not to mention the expensive gas needed to get my heavy SUV there and back. A nightmare effort caused by Uhaul. This past loyal patron is extremely ticked off over here.MARCOS G.

Waited 3 hours for a confirmed reservation- truck never returned so had to drive 30 minutes to get another truck after having waited 3 hours on a stressful moving day. After receiving the truck, there was less than a quarter tank of gas. Truck was filled with gas and upon returning truck we were told that we would not be reimbursed for the $75 worth of fuel that we had put in the tank. It is rediculous that U-Haul sends customers on the road with an empty tank then refuse to reimburse for gas upon return. The staff I dealt with were disorganized and unprofessional. I would like to be contacted by a customer service rep to make this experience right. I will never be using U-Haul again unless something changes.EVAN L.

I do not know who manage the reservation (U-Haul natioanl or the local SLO office) but I booked a 20 feet truck on 03/10 which was accepted and I received a call on 03/25 (2 days before my rental) to let me know me that my rental was not available. I was initially proposed a 10 feet tuck rental in a location located at 32 minutes of my initial rental location; the location was solved after expressing my unsatisfactory but not the type of truck. I had to ask for additional mileages to cover the back and forth. That's a shame; I was moving the weekend of 03/27. That implies additional stress, cost, and time. If I can, I will never rent with U-Haul again and you can be sure that I am going to give a good review to anyone asks me about your company. Notes: + the person who received at the SLO office was nice and helpful. + Rent a truck with a half tank just to earn a few bucks when people return the rental is a miserable; third class companies do that.Yann L.

Excellent employees at local office. Problem is with corporate management. Issue: I booked uhaul weeks in advance for pickup 9am Saturday 27 March. Notified late Friday 26 March by office in LA that truck would not be available until 10:30am. I modified my plan and prepositioned all items (couches, chairs and tables to garage to make up the 1 1/2 hour delay. As I am driving to the uhaul office I get call that my reserved truck is â€œnot available at all today.â€ I keep driving and upon arrival, learn there is â€œ1â€ â€œsmallerâ€ available truck left on lot. Not having any alternative, I adjust number of hauling trips and sign for available truck. I was frustrated to say the least not with local employees but with corporate UHaul Mgmt. No doubt a multi Billion dollar company that has no spare truck(s) to adjust to real world issues/needs. I learned that (can't validate this) the whole state of Californian has barely enough trucks on hand to meet needs much less contingencies. To paraphrase Bruce Willis in Armageddon, â€œcome on, you're UHAUL for Gods sakes! This is what you do and it's your business model. This is the best ya got??â€ Final point to drive it home. If you made a reservation at a Hilton or Embassy Suites and they called u the night before asking you if u can do a late check-in? You (like me) would say ok things happen. If you go to the hotel counter next day and they say sorry no rooms are left....I don't think u or I would be sympathetic. Celebrated my 39th wedding anniversary yesterday and uhaul put my 40th in doubt. (Hyperbole) but you get my point. Be a success UHaul and have your smart people with visors check on how your fleet is distributed. This will avoid my type of inconvenience and headache and for others as well AND it will enhance your reputation and more importantly your bottom line.
