VAL DYou can do nothing to improve this location. Some old school folks and very accommodating. We are from the Northern part of VA and the service we normally get is just fairly proforma and nothing to brag about. This place is a blast from the past and a great experience. We will use them for anything we need in Lexington, VA JC Hall

lynette HThe guy I rented it from was very nice, and he put a half a tank of gas in it for me, but when I brought it back the other guy that was there, I told him before I left the town I was in I had to put $15.00 in gas back in it so I could make it back to there office, so wouldn't run out of gas, he told me there ain't no way that it was almost empty before I left my town, my town was almost 76 miles away, and I also explained to him that I didn't want no money from him, I was just letting him know I had already put gas in it so I wouldn't break down, but he yelled at me anyways and kept on saying that there ain't no way I used a half a tank to get to my town, I'm not sure if I was supposed to get a deposit back or not, but I didn't, and I also was made to pay him back $5.00, I'll never use this store again, the guy didn't have to be so rude!!!!

Jason RVery confusing for drop off-we weren’t sure where to park or where to drop the keys off. Not a lot of space to work with and no one was there to talk with/get assistance from.
Katie MI got my mother to extend the rental and I thought she had done so well I never received any phone calls or emails or updates as to the rental not being extended I got arrested for unauthorized use also no insurance information when I needed it I was working and a dump truck came flying by and a rock ricochet off the windshield and cracked it the service at this location sucked and over all I'm on probation so me picking up this new charge is ultimately causing me to be violated on probation I think this is just a shitty over all experience for my self and I'm getting severally punished for it.
Erica SNo improvements necessary. Staff were quite helpful providing a free loaner towing hitch and electrical hook-up when we discovered I had the wrong interfaces for the rented trailer. They easily accommodated an after-hours return and return of the loaner materials. Would definitely recommend them to others!

The location that U-Haul sent me first was in downtown Lexington, which is windy narrow roads, I drove to the place and couldn’t even turn in off road then got stuck on a small side road trying to get back to main road back to other U-Haul return

Darrell SAsking any customer to drive 45 minutes to drop off is unacceptable. The fact that one location is not accepting rentals is “not accepting rentals” that should have been disclosed at the booking. However, it was not. If they needed us to park it somewhere in the same ZIP CODE. we wouldn’t have had an issue. But to ask us to drive 45 minutes aways is rude and un professional. It is UHaul’s job to move and adjust their lots for their customers and they failed. The customer service agents weren’t helpful and was rude. Then offering to compensate us. Why not spend that money that you employ your employees with and have them move your equipment. When I called saying the contract we signed to be dropped off I was told that this was not a contract and only a “suggestion”. When I pay money to use a service, once money is transacted that is a contract. UHaul breached said contract and because we didn’t want to be charged we had to comply. However, let it be known. That this was unacceptable - and I will be sure to share our experiences.

Joey KWould have been good to know when I dropped off, that I was about to be billed for excess mileage. Of course, UHaul corporate should have been more transparent as to what my mileage limits were! Furthermore, the gas level, as returned, was higher than 3/4 tank, but was recorded as 5/8ths. And the truck was returned over 24 hours before it was due. Yet UHaul corporate offers zero grace for these considerations when opting to charge for extra mileage that was only necessary due to the remote storage location used because UHaul does not honor reservations at storage we originally had had at Lynchburg months ago. UHaul's failures are the gift that keeps on giving!
