So I didn't move out I was behind on my bill and had been talking with the lady at the desk and. She gave me an extension I payed some of it and was told I had till 10-19-22 the last time she had given me a date it was by 5pm that day and she said the 19th so early afternoon of the 19th I went in and had $400 to pay it off. She had already auctioned off my unit even though it had not reached the end of the day on the 19th... I have the VM saved and will be taking this up with the proper people to get something out of this situation .... I had thousands of dollars worth of antiques personal valuables as well as baby stuff my daughter is going to need..... I feel I have been done very wrong by this company and the lady that works the best and lives on the property is extremely rude to people and ignores u when u are talking to her. I feel someone should get a hold of me to take care of this before others get involved. I have used these units for The past few years. Nothing I left in storage was ruined so I believe it to be a pretty decent place. The only thing I would change would be the fact that so much dirt blew into my unit even with it being closed it left inches Of dust on everything. I reserved a location that is close to my house 4 weeks prior to rental date. That location 1545 W. Broadway St, didn't have the truck size I reserved. I was given another location and had to take an Uber to pick up the truck. This is very poor system. I expect to receive the truck I rented at the location I picked, if its not available it should not have let me rent the truck.FRANK B.
When we moved in I noticed two holes in the exterior wall approximately 2” in diameter. I requested that those holes be covered on prevent weather and rodents from getting inside the unit. I believe they were originally meant for industrial electrical wires to be routed through but were never completed. I was told the owner said he would fix it. I trusted that he would do as he said. About a year later we returned to get a few items and the holes had not been fixed. There were mouse droppings and rodent destruction through the unit. Also there was dust and rain that had made it in as well. Over half of the things we had paid to store ended up in the landfill. Though they were cordial and seemed like a good facility they did not follow through with what I was told. Very frustrating. I would not recommend this storage facility. I didn't like the fact that I had to bring it back 6 hours to where I got it instead of where I was at it was vary inconvenient and if I wanted to I had to pay 400+ More to drop it off in a different location when it didn't give me the choice in the first place to pick a drop off location. Dropped off two days early and the office was closed. The guy in the office said he would check it in tomorrow. 1/1/2020. Got an email and text today saying I had not returned. called their office and the lady who answered the phone took care of it. I feel like the guy dropped the ball and could have cost me extra fees.mike W.

I would NEVER recommend renting a Uhaul from here. If Uhaul says your truck has to be picked up here just change the reservation to another company. The lady working here is USELESS. She demanded we put on and take off the car hitch, park it in the spot she wanted it to be and refused to help us. She was rude and added insurance that we did not want and told us there was no way to take it off. She almost tipped our car off the transport when she tried to help us and then complained that she couldn't do it and had computer work to do. Before we went out of town, we checked the hitch with another Uhaul and found out there was chains missing. Luckily we felt like we should double check because who knows, our car probably would have just flown off the freeway. Due to this giant ordeal, we left 4 hours late, couldn't return our Uhaul before our location closed so we had to unload our truck with a car attached. Worst customer service ever, will look at other moving companies next time.Samuel N.

It's ridiculous that a 6x12 trailer doesn't have a built-in jack. The lady at the pickup location wasn't physically able to lift the tongue of the trailer so I could back up under it. Luckily, they had a floor jack that I was able to use to lift the trailer while I backed up. For larger trailers, I think it would be beneficial to include a jack. It's not a one man job, as it stands right now.Jesse C.

We had a VERY difficult time getting our truck for pickup. The pickup location was changed from the original, we had to drive an additional 30 miles both ways to pick up at new location. At the new location the truck was already rented for a "quick trip" which meant a 4 hour wait time. We ended up getting a different truck. We made our reservation weeks ago. This should not be happening. We were very disappointed. We are at a very remote location and it is an hour and a half drive to get to our original location. It was very inconvenient to be put off so easily.JODY O.

We left the 6x12 trailer at the location before it opened Tuesday morning. The location gate was open so we backed the trailer in beside other trailers. Later that day we returned the 26' truck and the agent didn't seem to know how to get the mileage from the truck. I told her about dropping off the 6x12 trailer and she said that she would get it checked in. Today (Wednesday) I got a call from U-Haul asking when I was going to return the 6x12 trailer which told me that it was obviously not checked in as the agent told me it would be. The process to actually rent something was a complete was of time it took over an hour and when people are moving or needing a car hauler for example they do not have time to just waste. We will never use this facility or their rentals again.Darin Z.
Better training for the staff would be desired. Although friendly and helpful, when things went awry they had to call a supervisor which entailed considerable delay. There was a computer programing glitch that really messed with our minds - changing not only my destination without warning, but causing such an enormous price increase that I nearly canceled. If not for the supervisor (Stephanie?) getting things straightened out, I would have been in a terrible jam and forced to "go with" a competitor.JAMES H.
was told that we could drop trailer off at any U-Haul location. True, how ever wasn't told that a fee would be charged if not dropped at specified location. It would of been convenient for me to have dropped it off at Longview Washington, (A main U-Haul location) (not a Branch). wasn't happy about the fee. I then found a location in Vancouver Washington, (A Branch) was told there would be a drop off fee. Funny thing was it looked to me like they could of used a trailer, as there wasn't one on the premises. Oh well, I found a place and they gladly took the trailer and didn't charge me any thing. Am I unhappy about the over all service ? not really, but thought I could of been more informed about dropping it off at a different site. The Staff at the Idaho Falls location was very friendly, and helpful in assisting me hook up the trailer, and wished me luck on our new adventureray J.

Service Was Molasses Slow. If They Have A Reservation, You Need To Have Paperwork Printed And Ready For Signature Before The Customer Even Arrives. Lifting the tongue of the trailer 6' x 12' is very difficult especially for one person and even hard with two people. Women should not have to assist to lift the tongue. There exists a potential for a serious injury to any individual lifting the tongue. There needs to be a means installed to reduce the lifting by brute strength.GORGE R.

I had to use two trucks to move, and so rented a 13 x 40 space to fit it all in. Wow! What a surprise. Huge space, clean and I will have 24/7 access. I could put 6 cars in here. My stuff definitely needs sorting and this is the spot to do it in before moving again.CHRIS S.

I have used Uhaul for several years and will never do so again. I had to battle with representatives to get a rate that matched Budget, however I had to drive 40 minutes away to another city to get the cheaper rate for some reason. When I got there the rate on my reservation was almost $300 more than what I was told on the phone. After calling Uhaul, I was informed by a supervisor that I could not get the truck rental for what I was promised, and that the representative was mistaken when she promised me that rate. I spoke with the people at the rental location, I showed them the rate that budget rental could offer me. It was more than $300 less and with unlimited miles. The woman at this location tried to strong arm me into keeping the reservation with them by threatening to charge me a $50 "reservation cancelation" fee. Eventually it worked out and I got the truck at the rate I was promised, over an hour later I get in the Uhaul and as I pull out of the lot I notice that there is a problem with the tire according to the dash system. An employee told me to drive the truck to a repair location, he drew me a map on a post-it note, there was no address or phone number for the repair location. After driving around for about 20 minutes, I realized that I was wasting my personal gas and time to take a truck that I just rented for over $400 to get basic maintenance. Another fantastic surprise was when the passenger seat lever came off in my hand. This forced my wife to sit through the 4 day drive at a 90 degree angle. This has by far been the worst Uhaul experience I have ever had, I have been a Uhaul customer since I was 18, my family used Uhaul for all our moves growing up. I will never use Uhaul again and will advise everyone looking to rent a moving truck to avoid Uhaul as well.ANDREW F.
