Have this transaction done with a person and not online. The background check and all documents needed for the rental should be done before the time of the rental. I would never do a U-Haul rental strictly online again and would not recommend. If I were not somewhat technology literate I likely would not have been able to complete the rental.

This location in particular was the best location I have ever used in my entire life! Staff was super friendly, truck was clean and new and the process was so simple and quick!

One of the two front desk staff was kind. But the female staff was unprofessional, condescending, accusatory and aggressive after she asked if I would be using the rental over Mardi Gras and I answered in the affirmative. After I said yes, she took a deep breath and closed her eyes (as if deciding whether or not to rent to me) then frowned at me, raised her eyebrows, and said in a very judgmental, accusatory and angry tone "You KNOW that has to come back clean, RIGHT!?" This immediately put me on the defensive and I asked "Are you going to rent me the van or not?" Then she stood up and walked out on me, angrily saying "I don't have to put up with this". Thankfully the other staff member came over to finish the transaction in a professional manner. Obviously this location has had issues with rentals over Mardi Gras, but that is no reason to make the customer in front of them feel like a criminal when there was nothing done to provoke it (was it because I was wearing a hoodie?) .I have been renting uHauls regularly (12+ times/year) for over 15 years, and hope to never have to enter this particular location again.

The pick up location was moved after I made my reservations. I understand this can happen, but it was a bit inconvenient. Overall, I am satisfied with the service.

I wasn't thinking so I just dropped the truck off & didn't get a receipt. Sure enough the next day I was charged a $45 late fee when I turned the truck in an hour before it was due to be returned.

The power steering and brake system of the vehicle was not working correctly. It significantly got worse and worse as I continued to use the vehicle. It got to the point where I was having a hard time getting the vehicle to stop. I noticed a large puddle of red fluid coming out from under the truck after leaving the storage place. I immediately returned the vehicle with items still in it. The vehicle is returned to the location, but I have to go back in the morning to retrieve more items from inside of it. The customer service team was friendly and helped. However, the vehicle needs work and this could have turned into a big liability issue had I not make the decision to return the vehilcle asap.

After almost and hour to pick the truck up using the website then the truck wouldnt start then had to wait another 30 mins for road side assistance to show up then had to wait for them to get it start. So almost 3 hrs behind on my move .

I made arrangements in Morrow Ga to pick up the truck in Gratna La at 9am. Requested and paid for a dolly with the rope, but when the truck was picked up there was no dolly at all. Lady called to confirm my truck rental on the truck and once I said yes, I received an email saying that I could pick up the truck at 12 noon, this should have been told to me prior to her confirming my rental. The only reason that I kept the rental is because of time restraints other than that I would have used another company.

Took over an hour to pickup my vehicle setting my day off to a bad start. The 24/hr pickup service needs improvement. I had a similar bad experience with another truck pickup under my wife's name a few weeks earlier. The truck barely had any gas to start with. I feel the trucks should have at least a half a tank when you pick them up, this one barely had a 1/8.

They did not have my 26' truck avail so i had to take the 20'. I hired 3 guys to move me from New Orleans to Mandeville. I had to make 3 extra trips the next day with a broken foot in my SUV bc i no longer had help and my “reservation” wasn't avail. I want a partial refund. I will e mail pics of my loaded up SUV and broken foot. This is terrible service.

The service at the drop off location was horrible. The manager at Tulane ave location is rude disrespectful and very unprofessional. I called the location owner 5 times and never responded. Then I found out the he listed me on no rent list. I am so disappointed.... I rented from Uhaul more than 20 times.its the first time I hear of a business that allow employees the disrespect the clients.

According to my calculations, the sales tax should be at the most $7.38 not $7.39, based on a rate of 9.20% for Jefferson Parish. Kindly explain where I am wrong; or is U-Haul getting extra pennies from all their customers?

Please ensure that all employees are aware of how to check to see how long something can be rented before giving that information to customers. I called corporate on Friday, Nov. 9, 2018 at 9:01 am (central time) and spoke with Kenetra Woods. She informed me that the rental I wanted to reserve was available for 24 hrs when it was only available for 12 hours. Due to this misinformation I had to cancel a reservation and look for a new one, which was a bit of a hassle. As a customer I ask that you please ensure that your employees are adequately trained and are giving accurate information. Thanks

I returned rental on time, gassed up, and clean. I checked my bank 3 days later to see if my $100 credit for down payment was applied to my banking account and instead I was charged another day . I immediately called Uhaul and was told the customer service agent would call the area manager Mike and see if he would issue my checking account back the $87 dollar credit back to me for the incompetence of the office checking in there rentals in a timely manner. I will be able to receive my $100 down payment reimbursement. I sincerely hope this issue is taken care of with delicacy so I can use Uhaul in my future rentals. Such a disappointment.

I don't know where to begin. On Saturday I made reservations to pick up a U-Haul 10' foot truck went there someone canceled my reservations. Then I reserved a truck for Monday called the 1-800 number ask for the same truck but if I could make my reservations earlier went there it was a van. The dolly was not in the van. Just all around poor experience!!

My husband and I have been together 27 years and whether we move across the street or across the country we only use Uhaul. They're reliable and fair and always have clean storage space if we need it. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that no matter what location the staff has always been so very helpful and curtious whether in person or on the phone. We would never consider using nor would we ever recommend any other company ,thank you Uhaul for all the service over the years. When we finally purchase our forever home you can count on us calling you again. Sincerely ~The McCrea family ????

I made a reservation for a 2 day rental of a 26' truck on line for pickup at a location near my house. When I arrived, the person at the counter informed me that they haven't been a U-Haul supplier for quite some time. I called the 800 number and was given another number to call. While waiting on hold for 16 minutes I received a text from U-haul that my truck was available across town. When I arrived the second location the person at the counter told me I was only allowed to have the truck for 10hrs because that what U-Haul has for my reservation. I of course ignored this and used the truck as long I needed. I will continue to avoid using U-Haul in the future and stick with Enterprise, Ryder or Penske. Those rentals are much easier and convenient.

First let me mention that the phone number shown in the online website here is a phone number that this Harahan Clearview Ave Uhaul never heard of but admitted that others had complained about wrong number. Not sure why they would not take the time to see about getting correct phone number on this website. It has got be costing them some missed business. I almost cancelled my order because no one called me the day before pick up (like they are suppose to do) and I did not have a good phone number to call them to confirm my order. I thought they might be out of business! GOOD PHONE NUMBER IS (504) 739-4757. Staff was very friendly. Office was big, modern, and clean. 10 ft truck was ready to go. I dropped it off around 5pm which is closing time. They inspected truck next day and adjusted my estimated order amount down since my mileage was less then estimated. .Got email from them showing final bill and credit card charge. Paid $19.95 for 24 hours plus .79 cents per mile for 11 miles, plus $1 environmental fee plus tax. Total bill was $32.53! Can't beat that! (I did not get the $14 insurance since I only had a very short distance to go....but looking back I should have got it since just one accident or tire damage or any damage whatsoever is going to be very expensive. Hope this helps someone.
