When I was called to confirm the drop-off, I was told to return the truck to an auto shop just a couple of blocks from the UHaul facility! Ridiculous!! Luckily there was just enough space to maneuver the truck into the small parking lot and there was a space available. I didn't get a satisfactory explanation for this from either the UHaul rep or the auto shop employee.

They were not prepared. The location I rented from was Simi Valley U-Haul. They called to say they didn't have a 15 ft truck so they sent me to Elmer's Tire. They're system wasn't working so my check out had to be done over the phone. Then they weren't open on the return date. I tried to return it to Simi Valley U-Haul, but they refused stating Elmer's checked it out, so they have to check it in. They advised me to keep it free of charge for another day. Then I was charged for that extra day and the mileage rating was way off so I was over charged due that as well. When I questioned it, they said to bring it up with corporate. Which I have since done and have received zero help

I rented a haul from Simi Valley- Elmer's Tire and Automotive 4610 E Los Angeles Avenue Unit A, Simi Valley, CA 93063 on 1/31/20 -and packed our things- then drove straight to Oxnard the next day to drop off a bed and 10 boxes. My girlfriend's family helped us move our things to our new place. We have 2 other witnesses to corroborate our story. I then dropped off the uhaul to the place in Oxnard - UHAUL of Oxnard 3020 Saviers Road, Oxnard, California 93033-only miles from my rental. I was charged $1,062 which is fraudulent on the part of the store. The miles from Simi to Oxnard do not exceed 30 miles and there was no damage beyond what we rented it at. We didn't do anything to the truck- and we dropped it off in the same condition we left it- in fact we even cleaned the back. We are a young couple just starting off and this whole experience has been terrible. Being charged over $1000 has depleted our account. I called and spoke to the UHAL and they said they would take care of it. We are out all our money- and need it desperately to pay our bills. It has been three days since any word. Desired Resolution / Outcome Desired Resolution: Billing Adjustment Desired Outcome: I expect that we will be treated fairly- and our money returned immediately. We could not have driven 600 miles- and we didn't. And the truck was dropped off with no damage. We have witnesses. I wish to be contacted by corporate to discuss why this happened and make sure more innocent young movers aren't taken advantage of. I think there needs to be a better way to do this.

Was told I could drop off at any location as indicated on the truck but a costumer service rep told me different on the phone. I was able to drop off at some location using the app. Overall, the customer service was excellent at this location.

This whole transaction has been beyond horrible! You guy have changed the price multiple times on me now and have put Thru multiple charges Tom my account . The U-Haul was not ready at pick up and no time was added but the price just keeps going up on top of the fact you guys called me today and asked me if I wanted to keep the truck when it's was returned days ago .... just whole transition has been nothing but problems and I would definitely not recommend to anyone

Provide a Clean truck - truck was filthy inside and out; couldn't see through the dirty windshield with the sun glare and I had to sweep out the truck before loading. Owner listed outgoing mileage incorrectly by 375 miles less and then he wouldn't change it in the computer or make a note. Owner provided incorrect information - he said we would be credited for less miles driven and gasoline amount over the amount at check out. I turned in the truck with 1/4 of a tank over and with less miles than what was listed in the contract. I wasn't credited for gasoline or miles.

while pleasant, the CS rep demanding things I have never been asked before like 3 phone #'s and for me to take a picture of my license? wth! I have rented dozens of times over last 6 years and have an account. I have never been asked for these things

I was supposed to pick the truck up at 8:00am. When I arrived no one was there and the doors were locked. After about 5 min one of the employees drove up. I asked hime what time the business opens and he said 8:00 but a couple of the employees were running late. After another 5 minutes or so he said he had contacted his boss and was told to open the doors and get my rental moving. Apparently they have a real slow computer connection because he tried to get to the Uhaul system and it took probably 10 min. While I appreciated the help he gave me the mgr or whoever was late and supposed to open the business caused me to be about a half hour late. While I understand that these things happen and may have been the first time this happened, it still didn't leave me with a really positive impression. Also, the truck was dirty both inside the cab and out.

On July 16, 2019 I rented a 10' truck to move a few pieces of furniture. Picking up the truck at Elmer's Tire and Automotive in Simi Valley, California. I mistakenly did not compare the gas and mileage listed on the paperwork with the actual truck before using the truck. I returned it approximately 1/2 hours later having driven the truck 8.6 miles to find that I had to put a quarter of a tank of gas in and the mileage I was charged with in excess of 100 miles. I made a complaint to U Haul via the phone and representative did not offer any help and stated that it was between me and the pickup location. When I returned, I made a complaint to the guys at the pickup location and was told that they understood that I could not have driven the mileage in the time allotted. But the manager was not at the location and they did not know the procedure to correct it. Two days later I received a voice mail from someone named Fish who was attempting to contact me regarding the problem. I returned the call minutes later and spoke with someone claiming to be calling regarding the complaint. However, she said that she was driving and would have to call me back. Since that time, I have not heard from anyone else. For this rental I was charged $147.85 plus the gas $38.76. The lesson I have learned from this experience is NEVER trust the rental yard and always check the paperwork against the vehicle itself. I shall refer this to the better business bureau.

Still having problems with the UHAUL billing. I received 2 charges on my card. I've talked with them and it appears that the 2nd billing was for the wrong amount of miles. The Area Manager can check the Miles OUT and the Miles IN and see that I only drove total of 94 miles... not 194. After verification of the miles I used, UHAUL will credit back my card for the 2nd charge. The people at Elmer's were very nice and the UHAUL Customer Service person was very nice as well. I have rented from UHAUL before and will do so again.

I have been charged three times so far. They have not returned my calls and now they are claining i drive the truck 100 miles in 4 hours when in reality it was closer to 25. Someone needs to contact me to correct this

The printer will not working and I had to wait 1/2 hour and it did not work when I picked up the car and when I returned the car I rent a truck many times and I never had issues like that I never going back to them I got another truck rental 2 miles away

Stop using vendors to host your trucks. The truck was dirty I called and asked them to make note and was told someone would let me know what happened. I never heard anything more regarding this matter.
