There was no instruction on where to leave the truck and trailer and nobody was there to help. When I called them, they wanted us to bring it to another location, after we already took the trailer off. We refused and told them where we left it. Our drop-off time was 2:30 and they called me and told me it was 9:30. I just told them they were incorrect and life went on.

Lynn II hope that I will never have to use this service ever again. I will pay double else where if I need to move next time. I was promised a 20 ft truck 24 hours before my move, only to find that it was broken down and 90 miles away. I was then given a 10 ft truck with the promise that I would receive an additional 24 hours at no cost to me. I have now been charged for that additional day and have been on hold for 45 mins transfered to multiple locations and multiple people who have not helped me. I hate this service and I think that the workers are some of the most incompetent I have dealt with. I also think the customer service is some of the worst I have ever experienced.
Kelsey BNothing was wrong with the Location. The employee was extremely helpful. However, If equipment won’t be what the customer reserved weeks ago, let them know ahead of time. More than just ONE day. Offering a 15” when I reserved a 26” is unacceptable. Not to mention the new location I was sent to was over an hour away from my residence, causing us to spend even more on gas just to get back. I understand the reservation isn’t guaranteed, but a heads up more than the day before we moved would have been nice. Then maybe I could have cancelled and found something better. And very upset I had to spend over $400 when I could have spent under $300. VERY unhappy.

gwen m1-let customers know up front that they don't get to keep the furniture pads. 2-the dealer arranged for me to access the box on a day he was normally closed.That was nice. Downside, thought, was the box had been secured with an extra bracket that had uncommon screw heads. Luckily a mechanic shop was open next door, or I would have wasted a 10-hour round trip.

CHERYL ROn my own to take the truck. No walk around inspection with lessor. Gas level was less than on the contract. Truck floor full of dirt I had to sweep out. Found hole in truck roof and reported it to Uhaul after our belongings got soaked after that nights rain. Now Uhaul charging me $1000 for damages that I did not cause. I'm the one reporting it to them! Hopefully Scott in the region who controls the Freeport location will assist us in getting this right.

Even though this company had a ball sitting in their office they would not let me use it to pull the trailer i was renting from them. Truly pathetic considering I'm a repeat business customer

David LTruck was "nasty" and "filthy"! We had, to sweep and remove "extreme mud" from inside all areas. Before, we could even put our belongings in. The guy, was rude where we had gotten the truck rental from. He also, had stated the truck should have been cleaned. But, was never done! There was, not print out or envelope given for papers. A refund, should be noted back! If you want us as future customers. Thank you!

scott wThe cargo trailer I rented appeared to be well maintained, but it had not been swept out when I received it. I was en route to pick up firniture or I would have taken a broom to it to prevent getting my hands and clothes so dirty from the fine sand/dirt/dust and small metal pieces I removed before returning the trailer. I have rented from Elite before and have always had a prompt and pleasant rental experience. Will certainly do business with them again in the future.
Mary KNot the truck I ordered. Too small. They blamed UHaul for the error. Garbage in the cab, and apparently fertilizer all over the back of the van. Smelled terrible inside. The odometer is 7 percent optimistic, ripping off your customers for extra mileage charges. Call me.
LAWRENCE SFirst time renting from U-haul. Arranged rental at Porterhouse in Freeport. Found out later that pickup may be at another locn. Recv'd email to confirm pickup at Elite Storage. Called nbr; no answer, voice mailbox full. Drove to Elite to confirm in person. Locked, note on door with different phone no. Called that nbr; no answer, voice mailbox full. A day later recv'd email that reservation was confirmed (even though I had no contact with Elite). Tried calling phone nbrs again. Got answer; I planned to pick up at 8:30, the person asked me to come a little later, someone would be there before 9. On the day of pickup, I arrived at 8:45. Door locked. Waited 15-20 min for someone to show up. Up to this point I was not too happy with process. Once the guy showed up, the rest of pickup went smooth. The U-haul equipment was fine, and did the job I needed without any problems. Cannot say that I would recommend this location.

WANDA KMy problem with the experience wasn't the people at the location that we picked up the truck, but the run around and the 75 extra miles that we had to drive to pick up the truck. I've already entered a "contact form" and have yet to receive a response.

No they didn't have exactly what I needed, but I was able to make do with the next lower, They were kind, courteous..and seriously treated me like a person. That's very important to me and worth noting. They deserve a kudos from the head office, maybe Chicago area UHauls can take a lesson from them.

As I was driving I heard alot of creaking, but thought that was normal. After I arrived at my destination I walked around the back and realized the hatch was up:(
