The women working on Friday April 12th, 2024 at the 9th Avenue SW location in Calgary AB were WONDERFUL. Explained everything in detail, provided me with the necessary tools and when I had an issue with one of the locks they provided me with a replacement. A BIG Thank You to them both for making this transaction so easy!

Vojislav NThe information in the confirmation email was incorrect. The people at the desk were not willing to help finding solutions. Having to do the check-in and check-out online was a pain. Overall, I am really disappointed in the process of renting a car. Customers should be central in the whole process, while here, it is clearly all centered around cutting costs as much as possible. We wanted to rent another U-Haul when moving out of Calgary in 2 weeks, but we are definitely not going to do this after this experience.
Sam KThe convenience, service and ease of rental was excellent. The only issue was when the snow on the roof of the truck melted, our mattress, which was on top of the load, got wet because there was a leak in the roof near the front. I told staff about it and they indicated that someone would look into it. The mattress dried out after a few hours in the sun so no biggie, but others might not be so understanding.

Vipin KThe employees at this location are extremely rude, they charged me for damage without any proof of damage and when I called to ask what the damage was they told me "oh there's no damage but some paint is off" and I ask them how that's my fault they failed to provide an answer and when I asked for a picture of the "damage" they sent me a picture from a private email, not even a UHaul email address just a private email address and i feel like I've been scammed and being charged for damage I didn't do.

Morgan AIt was close to my houses to move to. That was the best part. The ladies inside were kind & courteous. The tank was at 1/4 full which was unprofessional and I feel I may have lost money in gas by guessing how much to put in to ‘top it up’. I arrived after 4pm and they were closed and there was no space for me to park the 15’ truck as all spaces were full. Fortunately there was a lady there checking the trucks and said I could park it beside the building (where there is a no parking sign). It could have been a smoother experience.

Engine light on, flate light indicator on, heat not working well, no ramp on or in the truck, driver seat well used and slanted to the door as the support was no more. Did not have a mobile phone to upload a DL. Front end staff was not helpful and told me no phone no rentail. Which is ridiculous I had all documents needed except a phone.
kristine KThey downgraded us from a 15ft to a 10ft. We ended up having to go back and forth twice which cost us more money in gas. This also made us go over the limited time that we had use of the elevators for moving which resulted in a $250 fee... the one lady said she was going to talk to the owner about a better discount then the mere few cents per kilometre (which did us no good anyways because as I stated the downgrade made us have to double our kms)... no follow up was ever made by her. Horrible experience that ended up costing us more in gas, kms fees and the late usage fee of the elevator.... WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND SOMEONE TO USING THIS LOCATION

Bushra MMy rental was moved to this location after reserving online, I was unimpressed to find out they had no parking, and I was not told! As the location is downtown, I ended up having to park in a lot behind them and pay for it. I have never rented from UHaul and have not had a place to park my car. This is a horrible location for renting out trucks!

Robert HVehicle was mechanically unusable but was told to drive it anyway. I had to insist that I was not going to accept a vehicle with a check-engine light on. Had to enter reservation information three times (twice online and again when I came in to pick up the vehicle.) Website check-in was not accepted at the site and had to re-checkin on arrival. Vehicle wasn't ready on arrival. Charges did not match contract amount. Unable to view online transaction receipt.

Derek DThe uHaul mobile app does not work when you try to return a vehicle... As soon as you click return vehicle, it gets stuck on a white screen forever... So, I had to go to the website and then take all the pics and then successfully finish the returning step. So, it would be just good to have that mobile app improved.
Meet PThey marked half gas tank but it was lower, I have a picture to proved it. When I returned the vehicle the other location has no option than charge my card. This was a very upsetting encounter

Robin HI had booked this to be picked up in Ogden. Then I got there and all of a sudden had to go to a downtown location. With all the stress of moving. Adding these random stops when I requested Ogden made it so much more stressful.
