I purposely picked a location with an attendant. When I got ther, it wasn't. Online experience was a nightmare. Had to upload my drivers license 5 times before it took. The whole "online" process is cumbersome. Some of this could have been done ahead of time when I set it up the appointment for the truck. I never received a receipt for afterwards with the final cost. In fact, when I go into my account on my app, it says there were "no orders".

This rental was a total scam. The vehicle was returned on time and was spotless and swept clean. When the final invoiced was emailed to me there was a cleaning fee. When I called to ask why they said "the regional manager makes those decisions". When I contacted the regional manager they refused to refund the fee or even look at whether there was an error made. I will never rent from them again and would not suggest anyone else does either unless you want to be ripped off.

Pickup instructions were all wrong. There was no lock box, you needed to go inside to get the key. Online pickup was confusing as well, hopefully I don't need to have alternate contact verified next time. That step should have been done before pickup

The site was at a gas station. Inside appear abandoned as it was sparse with no shelves. Where there was a front desk sat a man who we asked multiple times if this was the right location Uhaul dropoff. He was on his phone and ignored us. Looking around there was a back office where we found a nice lady who helped us out. She only asked if the gas tank was full, took our truck key and told us that she would send an email confirmation the following day. Didn't seem interested as she didn't ask about the # of miles we drove or the condition of the truck.

I returned the U-Haul truck as soon as the store opened at 9 am (my drop off time was 8.30 am) and I was told that it would be okay to return the truck at 9 am but still I was charged $60 just for returning it 30 mins late (as soon as the location was opened)

The local vendor in EastGate was not honoring the 24 hr commitment at all. They want to somehow push us to return the vehicle in 4hrs. If I am paying for the day they should have no question on when I pickup. On return they asked me to fill the gas or will be charged. I drove the vehicle for 25 miles. He asked me to fill up the tank. I was filling up around 20 gallons and it was still going on. So, I have to stop. And showed him the receipt and told him that it was not full to begin with.

The equipment was very dirty. There was no parking space for customer's vehicle. The app also said that after hour drop off is possible but the people there asked not to come in the night due to lack of key drop box. They also charged me $100 cleaning fees. Never recommending to anyone.

Extremely poor customer service. This U-Haul location should be avoided at all costs! I was charged $100 for a cleaning fee after I informed them items left in the U-Haul we're not mine. Furthermore, the lady was inattentive, on the phone, and not helpful. She could have easily said "we will charge you a $100 fee if you leave it". Rather they said "no problem" and charged me a cleaning fee anyways. I even returned the rental early! To make matters worse, I called them once I found out I was charged and the guy who answered gave me so much lip service! He didn't even listen to what I was trying to say, and how it wasn't his responsibility to tell me anything! Do not, I repeat, DO NOT come here for your U-Haul needs! I would give them a negative rating if I could.

The customer service was great. I just wouldn't recommend this location until the remodeling is finished. Apparently, because of that, the security cameras weren't on and trucks were robbed of their catalytic converters, or trucks stolen. This created a shortage of trucks. Luckily I got there early and got a truck, but had to wait an hour until it was returned. If I had arrived any later, a truck wouldn't have been available. I had originally wanted a truck from a different location, but was inconvenienced by the location being changed days later, and then this happened. The clerk was wonderful and I felt bad for her that she was put in this position to have to tell people there weren't any trucks available. She was really the only good experience I had.

1. The location on the UHaul map said it is a 76 Gas station. It is a Texaco. 2. Returning the truck the phone app did not work, I tried it on 3 different phones, this cost me an additional days rent, an extra day insurance, $20 processing fee. Two other customers were having the same issue. I tried calling UHaul but it was 50 minute wait, and I needed to drive home. I have a claim submitted to collect these extra costs.

Dirty before I got it (razor blade and a bunch of debris in the driver's side door cup holder) and I swept and even used a wet rag in the back and cleaned out the previous mess and still got charged the 25$ cleaning fee.

Well, out of 10 rentals done in the last 3 months, they charged me a cleaning fee $25???? I always broom the back of the truck, take my trash out and swipe the driver floor before giving back the truck... never had a charge till this location. I would like to see the pictures of why I got charge? Anyway I enjoy Uhaul but never again at this location!

How dare you advertise $19.95 on your truck, and then charge me $150?? This isn't an insult against this particular location, but the parent company itself. There is no way this should be legal, to advertise a price that is a fraction of what you will actually charge me. Additionally, the van I used had a broken side-view mirror, held together by duct tape. I could not look out of it and almost hit someone multiple times. When I tried to fix the mirror myself, I realized it was taped together in that position, otherwise, it would have just fallen off the truck. I cannot stop telling people never to use U-Haul services if they can avoid it. If I could go back in time and not waste my money, I would have just used my own little car to transport my supplies. NEVER AGAIN!!! The folks at the Eastgate location were nice enough though, I hope this doesn't impact them-- y'all were helpful and kind. Sorry your parent company is a bunch of swindlers.

The van was disgusting inside and out. It smells like farm animals. I declined the insurance. I was charged for it. There was 1/4 tank when I picked the van up. I drove 10 miles. I was charged for 15 miles. I bought 2.6 gallons of gas. I left it with almost 1/2 tank. I was charged for gas. I have used this place a few times because it's a few blocks from my home. I will never use them again. That's dishonest & horrid to do to people.

U-Haul was very unprofessional with my registration and I am frustrated with their services!!! I spoke with a scheduling specialist to rent a truck 3 weeks ahead of time. I was guaranteed the time of rental. Then 3 days before my rental I received a call that they don't offer the time I needed and moved it. I was not ok with the time so I called and reserved a truck for two days - Fri - Sun (instead of one - which cost more) and at a different location farther from my home. When I came to pick up my truck they told me that they overbooked and that I needed to return it by 5:00 AM the next morning (Saturday) - who moves in the middle of the night and returns a truck by 5:30 AM??? - I was confirmed Friday 5:30 - Sunday. The whole process very inconvenient and stressful. I DO NOT RECOMMEND U-Haul. I can not trust their business.

When I tried to do online check in, the website said I was in the wrong place, that I was supposed to be at a 76 station, not a Texico. I drove allover trying to find the Texico, and consequently, I was really late picking up the vehicle before I ended up back at the place I started! They almost gave the truck away to someone else. Fix the entry in your website so that it has the correct information! It was very frustrating and wasted my time.

Even though I returned the vehicle in a clean state, I was charged $25 cleaning fee. I challenge the uhaul to show me before and after pictures to prove why they consider the vehicle dirty. For a 4 hour rental I ended up paying a total of $ ~125.

After returning the truck, they claimed I was transporting garbage juices inside the truck and charged me $50 cleaning fee. I was only transporting furniture that I took to a recycling and transfer station that itself was smelly, but the truck itself did not have any trash any it. I swept it clean after I returned the truck so there's nothing else to be done except for just airing it out. Probably my last u-haul experience.

Honestly I was very disappointed in the whole experience. Rented a 20ft truck and the ended up not having it so I had to take a 15ft. This caused me to have to take multiple trips..and w them charging by the mile, caused me double what I had budgeted. Then after returning the rental I noticed they charged me a fuel charge,.I made sure to put exactly what was in there when I picked up. Overall very disappointed and will definitely seek out other companies in the future.

When we returned the truck, my dad asked if the manager had a broom so I could sweep the truck. Even though one was in clear view, he said no. I asked how much a cleaning fee would be, and he said $25. So, I took the truck to a nearby parking lot (at the uhaul associate's demand) and went and bought a broom from Home Depot for around $20 thinking at least I could get a broom out of it. We swept the truck, cleaned up the parking lot, and took pictures of the clean truck. I was charged a $50 fee out of spite apparently, which is not acceptable. The customer service at this location was the worst I have ever experienced with Uhaul.

System was down so it took a while to get the U-Haul. They didn't have a dollie even though we ordered one. U-Haul sent us to a different location than the one we asked for. This is U-Haul's problem as an organization, not this location necessarily.

I was charged for 26 miles when I actually used 22 miles. Then, I was charged $45 for a cleaning fee. I used a tarp to cover the bed of the truck and wiped down the outside prior to returning it. Although there were no other clients waiting, no one from the agency took the time to look at the vehicle. I believe this was a scam.

The gentleman who performed the inspection of my truck was absolutely wonderful. He pointed out the things I needed to clean so that I wouldn't be charged an extra fee and walked me through his process so that I had a complete understanding of what was happening. People may often be inclined to leave negative reviews because THEY don't take the time to ask questions or read the posted documentation, but I'm not one of them. If you do your part, and treat people with a little respect and dignity, they'll go the extra mile to make your experience a pleasant one. My deepest gratitude to those who have made my move as painless as possible.
