To avoid the $20 fee at the end when returned after hours should be better explained. Feels like it’s done on purpose. Besides the shady return after hours thing. Positive and convenient experience.

I used the app to get my truck for the first time. The mileage was incorrect in the app and wouldn’t let me change it. There were several hundred miles more than indicated. Additionally, the gas tank was near empty. Having been a great U-Haul customer for years I know that it is standard practice to return them 3/4 full. I did just that but was not reimbursed or discounted for the large amount of fuel I added whereas the last user left it empty. This is unacceptable to me as I am paying way for to compensate for the last user than I even used in gas for my trip today. Furthermore, the app boasts that you get to cut lines and have almost full autonomy over your reservation. This was not true as I had to troubleshoot a mistake not made by me to ensure I wasn’t overcharged. When returning the vehicle I followed the steps and as suspected the app told me I owed upwards of $900.00 for driving over 600 miles. Unless I was able to drive at 200 mph consistently for the four hours I had it, this is an impossible outcome. To say I am underwhelmed with the customer experience today is an ultimate understatement. I certainly hope whomever is managing the end to end user/customer experience for this new mobile line of business receives this feedback. I work in customer experience project management myself and there are some risks that either where not identified when mapping the apps functionality or this is the exception to the general overall experience. I am very much hoping for the latter so other consumers do not share today’s experience and your customer service team is not overwhelmed with escalations caused by this happen chance. If at all possible I would greatly appreciate a call about this, and would like my personal costs reviewed in the sense of me paying more fuel charges than necessary. You’re on to something great with the flexibility of allowing users to have more control over their experience by adding self service measures into the process, but I reiterate... today was way below expectations. Thank you for the time from whomever received and processed this feedback review. If this review is public facing I would recommend to any first time mobile app users to monitor for these issues and work with your U-Haul representatives to triage any issues from start to stop.

The location and staff are great. The location is a bit difficult to maneuver in and around (very tight with limited parking). The truck was clean but did smell like someone had been smoking in it and a strong deodorizer was used. The truck may need some work, transmission was very slow to shift, drivers window was hard to operate and the emergency brake stuck each time it was used. Other than the truck condition it was a great experience and the staff at this location are always very helpful and accommodating.

The information provided by email from uhaul was not consistent with how the store operated. There is no 24/7 capability at the store, yet uhaul said it had converted my order.

I did not like the after hrs return. I don't have much data on my phone. Uhaul.com/share was really bad. I had to Sign in that required several tries before actually getting option to return a vehicle , getting a password, watching a youtube video and sending pictures was just too complicated and used all my remaining data. I have an old phone and this took me over 60 minutes to return truck. I'm wondering what I would have done with my prior phone that did not have a camera?

At least the person here only charged me $ 3, for the cleaning fee, which I explained, should not have happened, since the truck was not clean in the back when I picked it up, but I brought it back cleaner than I found it. And with more gas in it than to start with also.

Efficient check in. Van performed very well. I would like to see the mileage per mile amount reduced though. 19.95 a day is fair but 59 cents/mile is high in my opinion. I know this is a corporate directive that I would like to see Uhaul consider lowering.

I had to pay a $100 deposit due to paying cash. I dropped off my uhaul and I gave them my debit card to credit it back. I contacted your customer service team and was told it will take five business days to post to my account. This is ridiculous... I was never told this when I made the deposit.

First of all my reservation 24123289 was changed WITHOUT MY PERMISSION less than 24 hours before my reservation. When i called, i was told that it was because your corperate level, NOT THE LOCATION, allowed the person the day before me to pick up late, thus extending the return time past when i could get the truck at 8am. Not ONLY did Uhaul corperate completely dismiss my reservation for 8 am on Sunday july 29th, but when offered a mere $50 as a "reservation guarantee" i accepted just to move along with my day, despite the increase of cost for the 3 hour delay that totaled over $250 (3 hours extra of movers, cleaning staff and accommodations for meals since it past the 5 hours originally hired for) BUT AD INSULT TO INJURY ITS BEEN TWO WEEKS AND STILL NO $50, ALSO despite the fact i recieved an email confirmation of such. Mary Snyder and I have had 3 rentals in the past 6 months that you have CHANGED the reservation on with out permission, notice or compensation. I want the entire amount of my last reservation refunded. NOT CREDITED FOR FUTURE RENTAL, BUT REFUNDED. You have Mary Snyder's card on file from the reservation. This is not only the most HORRIBLE reservation system we have ever used, your follow up and customer care are ZERO.

Set up reservations with one employee at the site, he was very helpful and personable. Picked up the truck on the following day and the woman that helped me was nice, knowledgeable and polite. Had a great experience renting the truck.

My initial impression was good. The employee that helped us seemed nice an informative. She did not, however, mention the issue of gas. We drove the vehicle a total of 5 miles and were charged over $50 extra FOR FIVE MILES!!!!!! The vehicle we were given had only 1/4 tank of gas in it. Right on the dash board is a sticker that says "keep it in the green for better efficiency". had the truck been at a reasonable fuel level, our meager 5 mile trip would not have required a trip to the gas station. But because the fuel level was so low to begin with, our MPG was significantly impacted. A $30 service fee to put in 3.5 gallons of gas???? Plus, since when does a distance of 5 miles use 3.5 gallons of gas? We were also charged a "cleaning fee". Well we happened to have to move on a very wet/rainy day. There was no way we could clean short of using a hose to spray out the back. We left the moving blankets unfolded since they were wet not wanting to cause any mold/mildew. Was this information in the contract? Yes, but for someone that has never rented a moving vehicle, it would have been nice to have had this information verbally. Almost felt like a set up to charge us more. So disappointed with all the extra "hidden" fees, we would never use this location again.

Make it a little more obvious what the name of the pickup location business is (Self Storage). Both myself and another guy didn't figure out right away which Suite/store/facility to go into exactly. Other than that it was good!

First of all i don't like charging me card fee because if I know imight give him cash or cancel the service so, the customer service didn't tell me this I am thinking he deceive or misled me. And also i clean the truck still the he charged me for cleaning which is unacceptable. Therefore overall i don't go again to that location or do not encourage any body to do service with this location.
