We confirmed Estes Park Night before we get a text to pick up 40 miles away. Had to. No other business confirms and then changes hours before pick up. Terrible customer service

The process was absolutely not user friendly. The location was closed, everything was done on app and took so long - over 45 min we would not recommend this to anyone. And on top of all of that there was no dolley in the truck as we had ordered. Made it impossible for us to move the large equipment! Very frustrating!!! Next AM received a call from these folks asking where the dolley was and totally uninformed rep didn’t even realize we had picked up and returned the uhaul to the same place. And that they never put a dolley in the truck to begin with!

I am very dissatisfied with the condition the truck was rented in, the mirror was broke, tires were retread and we had a blow out on the side of the Hwy, which terrified my 3 and 5 year old grandkids!!! Unacceptable!!! The trailer I rented, the wiring on the right side was exposed and did not work and you are only refunding me $150.00, now that's unacceptable since you put my life and my grandkids lives and my son's life in danger!!! Unacceptable

We picked a location with a store front and at last minute you changed our reservation. It took more than 2 hours and 4 phone calls to check-in online. We were not prepare to do this and it turned out you had my email addresses wrong in the system. Each phone call to U-Haul was 10-20 minutes wait! To sort out your mistake. And it wasn’t until the last phone call that we got someone who cared enough to stay with us on the phone and actually help. We received NO information or details about return. And when I tried to log in to the website my order had disappeared. Another 20 minute wait to call and I was told it would show up online when I arrived at the location. This was false. When I arrived at the location I waited on hold AGAIN for 20 minutes when we finally just hung up, put the keys in the drop box and left. We had no guidance for return or what condition things should be in. Then we were charged a cleaning fee. The truck was great but the process and service was so bad I will never recommend U-Haul to anyone!

This is not a comment against the Loveland pickup site. Have the selected truck (26 foot) that was not scheduled location. When filling out the schedule online, everyone is expecting the selected window and vehicle. It is very unsettling when families have scheduled around the pickup date and time. Finding out that uhal was not allowing a 26 foot rental to be moved out of state. This was very upsetting. Also, having to make two trips across a state line and now knowing that we will have to pay double mileage instead of only paying for one trip (oneway mileage). The department that uses software to track and account for extra days (human nature algorithms) with cleaning and preparing the rentals for the next costumer. This software interface is used by the costumers and uhaul sites. Over booking creates lost revenue and lost future costumers. As well as negative comments to friends and future costumers.

We requested an appliance and furniture dolly and didn’t receive either. I called and was transferred at least 6 times having to explain my story every time - no warm transfer. The last person I spoke to was supposed to be a manager whom put me on hold and I told her please don’t transfer me again and make re-explain she said she wasn’t going to transfer me she was going to get a manager ?!? Then I was hung up on. NEVER called back. I am beyond disappointed and then no one ever advised me I’d be doing the check in process over the phone. I had to rush to Home Depot and rent one 5 minutes till close when provided NO help. We had people we were paying to help on the clock while trying to figure this out then I have the last lady questioning my pick up time and the time I’m calling her. Well- I had to go through the pick up process he was at work get the keys go back and get him so we could both drive. I was blown away that she had the nerve to try to pin it on me.

I would recommend the location for a Uhaul truck only, but not if towing a car behind. They didn't seem very familiar with how to hook it up.

We were told that a 20 foot truck would be big enough for a two bedroom house but it wasn't and we had to rent another truck for $700.00 dollars plus we had to pay airfare from Tucson Az. back to Colorado plus they had $100.00 for insurance that we didn't request please call me Ronald Bosak Phone# 970-988-0420.

This Uhaul was not road worthy and when I asked for another they had a newer one but it had a giant hole in the roof. I blame Uhaul for my household goods being covered in road dust and some ruined items. It also cost me and my family an extra three to four days on the road with ment xtra hotel stays and all that comes with being stuck barley going 50mph across the country. I put a complaint in several weeks ago with the main Uhaul office and with my drop off location asking for a partial refund to recover some of the xtra costs due to their neglegance but they have not gotten back to me as they promised. The braking system wasn't working properly and was beating the heck out of my truck, as well as the stability of the trailer frame wasn't sound and the door seal was minuscule! Where is my customer service?!?! Where is my refund? This junk trailer cost me an xtra 3-4 days and $700-$800 in road living not to mention what my family went through due to this issue.

This was the back-up to the back-up location. They did not have the truck I needed and it ended up costing more for the smaller truck because I had to make an extra trip back and forth (over 50 extra miles).

Clean the inside of vehicle and outside. It was very dirty and we had a long drive in that mess.. There was no maintenance on 26ft. Truck we had to add oill in Albuquerque and uhaul there said it really needed an oil change.

I was charged for the insurance coverage after declining twice. That was frustrating. And the cost difference for "in town" vs general use was not clear when I picked up, so I was not able to accurately anticipate my costs. That was disappointing.

The check in process was quick and efficient. One inconsistency: I rented 2 doz. blankets (4 bags of 6 blankets). When I picked them up, the ladies said I would get credit for any bags that had not been opened. I used only 2 of the 4 bags of blankets but did not receive credit for them.

I put less than 60 miles on the vehicle which took the gas gage from 7/8 to 5/8 full. the final bill included a charge for a full tank of gas (16 gal for $80). I fully expected a gas charge, but have no intention of using U-Haul trucks again if this has become your current practice. I do intend to advise others of my experience.
