The staff overall were very accommodating but what I DID NOT KNOW THAT THE UNITS WERE GONE THROUGH BEFORE THE AUCTION DAY! My son and I were homeless after securing what we could in a teeny unit with Eagles Nest, so needless to say the contents of this unit was very important to us!
On the initial visit to clean out the unit, I found my stuff was demolished and the wooden pieces of furniture has water damage. The glass to my wrought iron tables were missing as well as my MED Badge for my job. The first time, I went to pay after being late, some of the contents of my unit was in the office, my unit was open and stuff being organized for the auction the next day. After I paid in full, there was a new lock put on and I was shown that everything that was in my unit was lumped in the middle of the unit in a pile. A few months later I was late and a new lock was needed and was replaced. I am handicapped so I wasn't a the unit a lot, so when this last new lock was put on, I was sent a new set of keys. BY THE WAY, that was above and beyond and very much appreciated! Then when I went to clean out the unit the old set of keys worked and the new ones didn't. I had items in with my items that I'd never seen before or had someone else's name on it, and my lamp had a different lamp shade on it. The odd thing about the lamp was it was not dusty or water marked at all like the other items. I had expensive headphones and electronics in this unit that were missing. But the most irreplaceable thing was a vinyl record that was signed and numbered. I don't even know where to start with this. so any direction would be great! And to note, yes the unit wasn't locked the last week we were there but that was after everything of value was taken out and everything else was refuge! I don't think the location itself was the problem. The 24/7 "contact-free" pick-up web platform and U-HAUL's customer service was the problem. It took nearly an hour for me to finally be able to retrieve my keys. The web/email/text directions did not contain critical information. No one I spoke to either on the phone on chat had any clue how to help. Finally after an hour of run around and endless holds someone I spoke to gave me a code for a lock box. This code was NOT IN ANY OF THE COMMUNICATION FROM U-HAUL in text or email. I double checked. I am not an idiot.
I will never use U-HAUL again unless I am sure I will be able to deal with a living person. YOUR 24/7 PICK-UP DOES NOT WORK!!!!! I feel strongly I should have my rental fee waived. This was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Poor experience. My first reservation was at Sunny storage off of Ashley Street. When I arrived the code and key were not ready, no one in office. Person who answered phone not very helpful. Called U-Haul and person was VERY helpful and changed my pickup location. That worked ok, just because the manager was present . He said he owns the 7 U-Haul pick ups at storage locations in Longmont.
In the future, I will only rent from certified U-Haul distributor.

The vehicle, itself, ran well and served its purpose. The inside of the cab was not clean. The dashboard was so covered in dust, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a year! With all the COVID precautions we are encouraged to take, one would think the inside of the cab would be cleaned after rental was returned. The windshield was dirty and the floor looks as though it didn’t get cleaned after the most recent storm.

I signed the contact at one location, picked up moving supplies at another and went to a third to get the vehicle only to find another customer there because U Haul double booked the only pick up truck in Longmont. Then I find I was charged $70 for mileage on a $20 per advertised vehicle. What a joke, enjoy your grift.

Check equipment before renting. Not up to me to take care of a truck that had a flat befpre I even rented it. Didnt get any reimbursement. Was actually reprimanded for not calling Roadside to get it fixed "while I was sleeping". I was even shown where the spare tire was had I called Roadside MYSELF. So the truck with a flat before I even got the keys and was never told had an issue (oh, that was left to the guy on the road beside me miles fown the road) BECAME MY ISSUE TO FIX, not the management or owner? I, the person paying for the rental, was actually made to feel guilty for faulty truck and subsequent service. Wont be back.

I was charged $14 for "Safe Move," which I never requested. It may not have been this location, it could have been the lady on the phone that scheduled the appointed for pickup. No, I am not happy. I paid $20 for a day, drove 8 miles ($6.32), that plus their taxes and fees is all that I should have paid. I should not have paid the $ add $14 that they added on without my knowledge.

expect to do everything yourself through the app, especially the return process. they don’t tell you the size of the tank, so don’t bother w/ returning it w/ the same amount of gas as when you started. uhaul’s website makes it impossible to do the return process, so expect to call the 1800uhaul phone number, wait on hold for 10-15 minutes to have someone talk you through the process like you’re an idiot, and get zero money back for returning it early. although i had my own insurance, i was never asked for proof of insurance and charged for it w/out my permission. there were marijuana crumbs in the truck. i will never use this location again

Truck was vibrating on the highway...upon drop-off of the truck a guy clipping weeds came out of no where and asked, "how'd she drive?" Didn't help with anything or explain who he was. I had questions but did not feel comfortable asking this unapproachable seemingly random person as he did not introduce himself or ask us if we needed any assistance (which we did because this was a new experience for my frje d and myself)... I feel like I have been charged more than I should have. The pictures I uploaded of previous damage (that were NOT "already marked with a red X" or whatever) to the truck conveniently did NOT upload to the uhaul site...I re-took pictures immediately onto my phone and have them saved as I have a feeling something sketchy is going to come of this... I will never use Uhaul again. Will do whatever I can to borrow a friend's vehicle or go to fucking home depot.

Initial reservation was with one of two UHaul locations on Nelson Road. That was NOT a "moving" experience to say the least. Erin at the UHaul/ storage place did an excellent job with damage control. Paul on Delaware street had the trailer. No problem with pickup, setup, and directions. Just great.
UHaul reservations process was just awful and uncertain as to what was going on. Not a great customer experience.

I had trouble getting connected to pick up the truck and your phone line took over 20 minutes to answer. Repeatedly saying your projected wait time is 5-10 minutes is extremely frustrating, especially when it’s a flat-out lie.

The location was fine. It was everything related to the uhaul online check-in and return system that was the issue. I could neither check-In nor return the truck on my phone. When I chatted with an agent, they said I needed to logout of uhaul and sign in on Chrome. I don’t have chrome on my phone. The whole process was the most difficult renting experience I’ve had with uhaul thus far.

Great facility, very friendly. You have to make appointment for the office but they are very fast and help you in any way. They also rent U-Haul trucks and that makes it so much easier when you are moving just dealing with one person and keeping it local.

The app experience sucked - big time. I barely had enough connectivity to make it work, there was no explanation that I would have to do the rental this way, the woman on the phone (national) said "don't worry, that location is open by 7am" - a total lie. I won't be renting through U-Haul again.

I was told the truck I rented would be sufficient for hauling all of the contents of a two bedroom house. I had all of my stuff in storage. The truck was not large enough and we ended up having to make two trips from Fort Collins to Longmont. Unsatisfied with Uhaul for 1) not giving me correct location to pick up truck and 2) the truck was not large enough and had to make 2 trips.

Whom ever washed the U-Haul pickup left their footprints on the floor of the truck. I am not certain that is important. The young lady at Eagles Nest is wonderfully helpful. Keep her around. On a Saturday where the outside temperature was 100 degrees the Silverado's air conditioning worked very well. Remind U-Haul customers to bring their own Wipe Cleaners, made with ethyl alcohol, in order to protect themselves from the Covid-19 virus. How about a sign on the back of each U-Haul vehicle that says something like - "The operator is new to operating this vehicle. Please provide them appropriate consideration and distance."

First...advertising 19.95 a day, but charging over $100 for 1 day is FALSE ADVERTISING! Next, the bed of the truck was filthy with mud and branches, I had to go wash it out. Finally, your App is the worst Ive ever seen...It continually crashes trying to load a picture or move to the next step. I never was able to complete anything via your App.

We were to return the truck by 2:00, got there at 1:30 and my wife went in to find out where I was to park the truck. Personel did not want to talk to my wife and only told her to put the keys in the drop box, so I went in and he said he would take care of it ( he would not leave his chair ) so we could not do a walk around the truck and he did the check in the next day. Charging us for another 24 hours and claiming damage to the insurance company.
