The first gentleman was rude, blew off my answers about the truck, documents & gas. He insisted that it was 3/4 full of gas, it was not. The truck's front & back was dirty. We took pictures of the gas needle, front & back of the truck. I'm glad that I had someone with me that used them before. I put the gas tank on 3/4 and rinsed out the back of the truck, out of kindness. Because i would not have rented it out to someone in this condition, if it was my business. My friend got there first, I went to get gas. As he sat in the car near the door, I guess the gentleman (owner maybe) I gave the keys to later, asked him why he was there. He told him waiting on someone to bring back a truck. I don't known the full conversation. Please be more kind and professional to your customers.Belisha S.

I used the mobile checkin option. Connectivity is limited and made it very difficult to download the app which is needed to complete the check out. I would recommend a WiFi option for customers to login to allow for easier and quicker check out.Amanda B.
Tried using Uhaul app when dropping off trailer. Application kept freezing/wouldn't load. Frustrating when that is the option given in order to avoid being, maybe, charged for days after it has been dropped offNolan S.

The employee had a terrible time trying to fill in the new computer registration template as did I when attempting to do so on your app. This needs to be fixed as soon as possible. It took 40 minutes just to get our truck. This site is a tiny office jammed into an auto repair site. It is dirty and extremely shabby. I've used it 3 times as it is the only site in eagle river, Ak. Trucks are dirty and smell if cigarettes. A company rep needs to investigate this site. It does nothing for the reputation of U Haulleslie D.

Even though I did online check-in, the equipment was not ready, the person working there didn't know how to do anything and it took me 45 minutes to get the rental. I was also overcharged for the movesafe package which I had declined. I will not use Uhaul ever again.MELISSA C.

The hand truck was loose and flopping around and not zip tied and the blanket bag was open with only one blanket and it was hanging out. Tires were definitely acceptable for Alaska! Besides that everything was good.Thomas M.

Highly recommend! The owner, Adam, his co-workers, and his dog are all awesome. Just normal hard working individuals with an amazing shop that they're remodeling (February 2023). They were closed, but they still rented to me, cleaned the vehicle immediately, and were extremely courteous and helpful with the process. They're tucked back a little and without signage by the main road, but if you turned at the hospital entrance, you're going the right way - just keep going down the road and they're to the left.Tylor M.

Truck was rented for 12:30. At 12:45 the attendant showed up with his lunch and did not say anything for being late. Then, instead of having my truck ready to go, he pulled it out of a snowbank and half-heartedly cleaned off the large amount of snow the truck had accumulated. Truck was fine.Bradley B.
Office is in a building that appears to be undergoing some long term renovations. Staff was awesome though, which is what matters. Truck was kind of beat up, probably the worst truck I have ever rented with uhaul as far as torn seats, engine noise, exhaust smell, etc., but it did the job.Paul C.
Two tires were refilled at start of rental by the company. They were very low again and van gave warnings about low air in same tires by the time we returned the van. Felt unsafe to drive. Took over an hour to warm up van and thaw window even after scraping. Frost was all over inside of window too. There was a check engine light on as well. It seems manager, Jeff, is aware of these issues and has neglected to fix them. Felt unsafe driving after discovered tire issues, and couldn't use for what I'd intended. Employee tried their best and was friendly, but management wasn't helpful. Also had 2 feet of snow fall in 24 hours. Schools closed for 3 days. Many roads, mine included, not plowed for two days. I got stuck with van for extra days because I literally was stuck. With the tire issues and inability to thaw windows to drive safely, on top of two feet of snow and unsafe roads, I hoped I might get a discount there since snow and road conditions were out of my control. Nope. Not only did I get a van which felt unsafe to drive, I am also frustrated with the lack of customer service during a city wide major snow event. I've used uhaul many times before and generally it's been positive. This is my first time using this location and after this experience, I don't fully trust the quality of the upkeep on their vehicles. A safe, well maintained vehicle should be the standard. I'd hesitate to recommend or use again.Savanah F.
The check in process was terrible. It took us over an hour to get checked in to phone calls. Something that I was told. Will take 10 minutes took over an hour. I was very frustrated. One of the front lights did not work so we couldn't drive it at night but I know things happen.Juanita F.

Original car trailer reservation was at Blue Lupine Dr location in Wasilla. Showed up and car trailer was not there. This caused a huge problem as much was put into the planning to get the move done on that day. Eagle River location came through and we went there instead, but the whole affair cost me time, aggravation and money..Christopher S.

I was very happy with the truck. Drove well. When I had to keep it a few extra days it was not a problem. When I returned the truck and left I received a call from them that there was an error in the bill and could I please return. Eagle River body and paint was very understanding when I needed to extend my rental day to day from unforseen circumstances. Made my experience with them very good. I would recommend them to anyone. This location did fine. The help was professional. The condition of the truck was pathetic. It had a check engine light on it had a cracked windshield it really wasn't clean in the back of it and it leaked all over our stuff while it was raining during the move. The truck had 169,000 miles on it. I think it was time to retire that truck.JOE B.

Remove studded winter tires. Law requires removal by April 15. I fine is $50 a tire. I was stopped by the local police department during my rental. No citation was issued at the time.Lise' S.

Tell the Anchorage office not to hassle customers about things related to operations. I dropped off the van a half hour early yesterday. Got a call from someone at the Anchorage uhaul asking me if I still had the van even though I dropped off the keys. Then was told I would be charged an extra day if I didn't get in touch with the Eagle River location about some crap having to do with the checkout process. The reason why it hadn't been checked out yet is because the Eagle River location wasn't open until 10. I got the call at 8:50. So when I did get a hold of the Eagle River location, they told me not to worry about it. Unneeded stress and a waste of my time when I did everything right. Tell whoever is in charge in Anchorage they should talk to employees first instead of bothering customers about stupid stuff that has nothing to do with them.Thomas S.

The facility was recently damaged by a fire to adjacent body shop. No Uhaul rep in uniform available to turn in keys. Was instructed to give to worker at location. He must be doing dual duty because my reservation closed successfully. That experience could have been avoided if the Uhaul app worked properly. It is convenient for customers in Eagle River and will be better overall once building is restored and the bugs in the app are addressed.Courtney W.

Nice guy, but the truck was not ready. May not be their fault but the truck had a crack across the entire width of the windshield (below vision line though); which may be illegal and does not inspire confidence. Steering was wonky. When going straight down the road the steering wheel is not level; tilts 30 Deg to the right making it less than ideal to hold and again, does not inspire confidence. Shifter was not smooth to operate. 98,000 plus miles and looked it. Overall it did not inspire confidence.Todd S.
