I booked with a uhaul center so I wouldn't have to deal with the "gas station uhaul" incompentance. The day I was supposed to pick up the truck I was informed they didn't have a truck at the uhaul center, I was to pick up at a different location, a gas station. The lady there was nice but had no idea what she was doing and was frequently interrupted with customers. I blame the owner for having ill prepared people, I left without paperwork because the lady wasn't sure how to operate the computer program, wasn't even sure how to turn it on initially. The return, to the same place was handled by another with slightly less ineptance but it still took far longer than it should have. The truck was filthy on the inside, I wiped the steering wheel down with a disinfectant wipe, it was almost black as was the many others I used in the rest of the inside, your welcome. I would have hoped with the covid some disinfection would have been done. The blankets I requested were not there but I was told I could drive to another uhaul place and get some. Which brings us to the one bright spot in the experience, I didn't have time to run because I left work to get the truck and had to go back. I called the original uhaul center I booked with and Samantha was kind enough to drop them off at my work place on her way home. I have used uhaul many many times in the last 10 years moving kids back and forth to college, many of those times I have had less than good experiences just never voiced my issues, this was the last time. I hope someone actually reads this at uhaul that is able and or willing to do something. In light of Covid the condition of the inside of the truck was the last straw.

Amazing customer service, and that was with just one person running the entire convenience store. Puts the service at Walker's Point in Milwaukee into perspective, as it simply seems the employees are unorganized and don't care. The lady who helped me in DePere was super friendly and helpful, made sure I had a verification in paper before leaving that everything was taken care of. She made her inspection with me and took care of everything short of filling the truck back up and parking it. Again, amazing service, definitely would use these folks again.

Couldn't even rent the truck there. They could provide no paperwork and there were no moving blankets as requested. Had to go down to the street to the main UHaul to get the helpful lady there to get me paperwork and left to go. I all wasted at least 45 minutes. funny thing is they gave me the keys and truck without anything, in which the main facility said they shouldn't have.

Equipment was faulty. Ramp fell down on highway, because retaining pin was incorrectly serviced and had spring pushing it out of the retaining slot because it was on the incorrect side. Equipment was buried in snowbank. Counter person was kind. Uhaul issued a $25 credit. Inspect equipment carefully!

Have someone service you whom you can understand, and be friendly. The service person had trouble completing the form for check out, and could not print a copy. Poor service operation.

The very kind lady who ultimately ended up just letting me take the trailer and go, didn't know how to complete the transaction. I actually got a voicemail from Uhaul asking why I hadn't picked up my trailer yet while I was pulling it. Again, the lady that helped me was very kind and courteous. But she was also clueless. It appeared as though she had never been properly trained, so I can't say as though I blame her. Thank you, Brad M. Ruesch
