The truck i received was filthy. Tobacco had been spread all over from rolling blunts which had been extinguished on the dash. When I returned the truck it had more gas than when I got it. I was still charged for extra gas and for a cleaning. It was marked as 2 days, i only had for 1. They offered terrible service and ripped me off with fake charges. I had this experience before took pictures this time and plan to fight this with them, uhaul, my credit card, and report the rip off practices on google. This location has done this to me and my friends before. I would call it a scam uhaul branch. Now i need to waste my time because these people are cheats. I think someone at corporate should do something? It's a known problem with this place!

The van had low air pressure in the front right tire upon getting in, it also had the check engine light on, and notified us that an oil change is needed - it ran fine, but this is a bit unsettling to see when you first get a rental vehicle. In addition, Dream Furniture holds the hours of 10am - 8pm, so if you are not renting during this time, you cannot pick up or drop off the key. When I mentioned key drop off, the person assisting me at Dream said I could return the key at 10am the next day as there is no outside drop box. Customers should make sure they plan for remote/phone return if they do this, as I believe Dream were hoping to charge me extra for a late drop off. Dream seemed surprised to find out that I was literally just dropping off the key at 10am, but I had parked the vehicle at Dream and "returned" via the site the night before, so no additional charges should be applied.

The vehicles had issues. The first truck stopped twice on it own and the second rental, a van, the tire preasure was low. They obviously do not checkt the vehicles for probelms before renting. Pluse, the cutomer service was poor, the attendant was rude when I came to front desk.

The store had a speaker blaring music outside next to the front door to which I would have avoided if I didn't already schedule a pickup. The gas tank was on empty and I was able to drive 1 mile before to empty gas tank light came on. When I went back to the pick location to drop off I wasn't helped quickly as I assumed the person in front of me was being helped and the counter person had stepped away. Then the person in front of me looked back and said, "They're in the back prepping food". So I grabbed someone's attention by telling them I wanted to drop off my key. This is a great location but there definitely needs to be some improvements.

Van was not clean. Staff was incredibly rude and did not communicate. I received an email indicating a 2 day rental. Something happened when picking up van and it was changed to single day without my knowledge. Day 2 dreams furniture called me and started harassing me because they had made a mistake and given me the wrong van? I couldn't communicate with them as just kept saying I needed to return their van. Once I moved all the items from the van, they called again and said “don't worry about. Van wasn't needed anymore.” I returned the van because I do not want any business dealings with them. I immediately called u haul and filed a complaint with reference number 3512303. I was unable to complete my moving properly. Unprofessional harassing, and mean.

I only have some issues with the mobile app. However, the staff in the store helped and I was able to complete the pick up. Also, I got a different vehicle because the model that I requested was not avialable, be it was perfect for my project

The absolute worst experience possible. Terrible customer service at the location. Rude, dismissive and fraudulent. The truck itself was disgusting. The truck had no fuel in it and they forced me into a higher cost per mile car because “they couldn't get the van to work right in the system”. If 0 stars was an option I would have chosen that. As if the pickup wasn't bad enough there are no signs for a return location to park vehicles and when I went to park in a parking spot they yelled that I had to back it up and move it to the street when I asked if they could make sure it was all clear for me to back up the guy said fuck you do it yourself and grabbed the keys from night drop and went inside.

We were 2 days early dropping off, man said he waited after closing for us??!! Street so littered, could not get up against curb to park on a busy street, not easy to find. All said, we appreciated not dropping keys in after hours box.

I was over charged on the miles by 7 miles. I only used 11 miles driving and was charged for using 18 miles. The odometer read 4552 miles when I first got in the van. When I returned the van the odometer read 4563 miles , I only used 11 miles in the vehicle but I was changed for using 18 miles.

1. For myself and my daughters roommate- they downgraded us 1 level each for our reservations 2. Did not walk with us to the truck, told us keys were under the seat 3. ABS and Traction Service lights were on- vehicle was not maintained 4. Was charged for a dolly I never had and 2 gallons of gas for a 3 mile drive. I had to contact U-Haul Customer Service to resolve this 5. The truck did hold everything and got the job done but this place Dreams needs some service training

I was charged accessories that I did not order. They were also not in the truck anyway. Also the guys at counter told me it was $1.89 a mile but the website said $.99.

1. the dolly I reserved was not available. As a result I was unable to move one of the items on my list. Now I have to spend money getting it removed. 2. the truck had less than 1/8th tank of gas, so I first had to go get gas. 3. the gas gauge might not have been working, as I put in gas and the gauge still showed close to empty. 4. the brake release handle was broken. I had to enlist someone to get the brake released. That cost me time too. 5. the store added a pack of furniture pads I neither ordered, asked for, nor had loaded on the truck. I asked for a receipt and was told it would be emailed to me. When I called to discuss any of these matters with the store, I was told "we are just a furniture store. We just give out and take back keys." When I disputed that based on the fact that they made a change to my order, they hung up. So, after 45 minutes on hold with Uhaul (the first 25 was apparently a number only for new orders), the Customer service was very efficient and refunded the furniture pad charge and tax).

The truck was very dirty when I received it. It still had old boxes in the truck. No-one from the store offered to clean it up or give me a clean truck.

I am being charged for two days when I only rented it for one day. I am also being charged for a dolly that I did not rent/use/or request. The gas tank was not full when I received the van so when I returned it, I filled up the gas to the lebel it was when I received it, however, I am still being charged for fuel. My overall experience renting a U-haul at Dream Furniture on 1918 N 5th St. Philadelphia, PA 19122 was not acceptable. When I got to the location, the van was not ready (gas tank was not full). This is my first time renting from U-haul and I was not explained any of the return procedures. I was just told to return the key in the drop-box without being told about the $20 late return charge. Please help me sort this out. I had higher customer service expectations, especially for customers that are either new to the city or undergoing moving stress. You get told one price and get charged triple what you expect to pay. They charge you for equipment even though you never had it or requested it nor had it in the truck. They'll charge $20 for an after hour drop off fee even though they don't tell you up front you'll owe this. They tell you to give a good review and they won't charge for mileage but that's another lie. Be prepared to pay up to 3x the amount of you think you're going to pay because this place is a complete scam.

While this location was great (despite U Haul's network being down) I was initially set to pick up at the 13th Street location. When I got there I found out that my pickup location had changed and I had not been notified. I then had to spend extra money on an Uber to get up this location. Totally unacceptable and am not sure if I will use U Haul again in the future.

I was charged $100 more than what is shown on the site. I have been trying to call customer service for a week about it. Uhaul has the worst customer service. Will definitely leave a bad review on both locations and never recommend to anyone.

They charged me over $200 after cleaning fees for 4 HOURS of use. The photos I submitted showed a clean cabin. Still disputing with customer service but they charged me anyway

Unprofessional, unfriendly employees. Gave me a truck with wrapping blankets that I did not ask for. And later I found out that they reported that I received a dolly as well. They charged me for the equipment without my knowledge. I explained to them that this bill is higher than I expected and when I asked for charge details the agent got upset of why I question his work, and he went on to say that the charge is exactly as it appears in the U Haul website. He did not mention anything about the equipment and the extra charge. I later found out about this when dropped dc the truck. Also I did not receive any receipts from them nor did I receive any sort of emails explaining the charge, or verifying the receipt of those equipment or even the truck for that matter. Poor management, I don't recommend them to anyone.

no one told me to check my mileage after and confirm it. I only drove 20 miles and got charged for 80. so disappointed in my first uhaul rental. will definitely never rent from them again.

Honestly I'm giving them 2 stars because the van was clean and check in was quick. They didn't have blankets or any kind of dollies when I came to pick up my van (after I requested/ payed for them at reservation), and they were going to charge me $150 if I couldn't find street parking for the thing at checkout. After check out I got my receipt and they tried to stiff me for a $50 gas refil after I refilled the tank past what I had it at. Uhaul customer service was able to refund me because I had pics of the dash showing the b4 and after odometer with the fuel gauge. Use this place with absolute caution and document/take before and after photos of everything you possibly can if you do.

They have very bad customer servise. When I walked in to the furniture store not really sure if I was in the correct place,they just ignored me and kept talking their foreign language. I am foreign myself and speak another language, but I always make sure to pay attention to anyone trying to get my attention. The place feels creepy. I felt uncomfortable in there and I'm a man. I can't imagine how a woman would feel in my situation. The staff needs to be trained. And they should have their counter a lot closer to the entrace. No need to walk so far into that creepy store.

I was charged for fuel when I had returned it to the correct level. I did dispute it and got a refund for the fuel but not the $30 fueling charge which I should get back also.. I emailed twice but they will not even respond. That is why I have an issue with this location.

They charged me twice for dolly. Can you please check why it happened? They also told me that I can't leave keys at Dropbox because they would charge me extra for this. They demanded that I give them the keys in person. I also wasn't reimbursed for the truck I ordered before this one. There was a problem with the lock. But it happened on a different location. The guy i dealt with was very rude. I had an unbelievable experience with the worker and his manager. Luckily there was a uhaul rep there to help. They had no idea what they were doing. The uhaul scheduling office made a mistake but also these guys kick you out of their system after 30min of you not being there because they “lose money waiting for customer”. The manager was rude at first but once I was assertive back and explained that his employee was being a jerk about helping me, he was really nice and helpful. He called the employee to the front and tried to get him to apologize which he did not, the manager did for him. But I'm convinced if the U-Haul rep was not there it would've been a big ordeal. I ended up getting a bigger truck that i needed and they discounted me $32. However i would never go near these guys again. It's a gaudy furniture store, they have no business being invested with Uhaul.
