Had trouble finding the lockbox with the key in it and the woman behind the counter gave me attitude when I asked where it was. Then came to find out the moving pads/blankets I had paid for were not in the truck and she had to go fetch them before I left the pick up location. Also this was NOT the location I wanted to pick up from but was moved to this location last minute, though I didn’t get the text/SMS notifications until the day AFTER I had already picked up the truck.

Went in on a weekday to pickup mattress protectors and spoke with the guy there about the ride share and 24/7 pickup. Details were good. 7/31 pickup day due to being behind I was later than 5pm which was when I had planned on picking up the truck. Open the app and try to check in, but now my reservation was showing for the next day. Call Uhaul 800 number and spend the next 23 minutes on hold. Finally get thru to someone who was able to change the reservation which allowed me to check in on the app. Once this was complete it took approx 10 to 15 more minutes to get approved in the app. Get in the truck and notice it has a funky smell of some kind, the steering wheel was so badly worn that instead of plastic I am holding onto foam. My wife leaves ahead of me & my daughter chose to ride back to the new house with me in the UHaul. She gets in and we are unable to find a center or passenger side seatbelt lock, the belts are there but were unable to find there to click them into. Drive the truck to the new house and park it. The next evening we begin unloading the truck and it starts to rain. I close the back door and wait it out. Once the rain subsides I open the truck back up to find the boxes in the front passenger side are wet. Once the truck was unloaded my daughter and I hop in to drive it back to our old house to load for the next day. Aside from ourselves the only thing we have had in the van is a bottle of water, our phones, & keys. On the way back to our house my daughter's phone slides off her leg and lands in the passenger side door pocket. She shrieks when she picks it up and said it was all sticky and had stuff all over it. A short while later while going down a hill the water bottle rolls off the seat and lands in the floor, I go to pick it up and it's really sticky and covered in a darker substance. Stop at a gas station to fill up and discard the water bottle, look in the door pocket and hers appears to have soda possible mixed with possibly the chewing tobacco & the drivers side pockets have water in them. At no time during the rain was anything left open. Fill up with gas and drive the truck to our old house to load the next day. During the afternoon I attempt to make 2 phone calls to the uhaul 800 number to report the issues. Both times I was on hold for over 45 mintues and never get an answer. That evening the crew that was supposed to help move us was running late, so I call in to extend the rental. Call was answered in less than 10 minutes. The day I return the truck to the rental location the young lady working the counter had computer issues so we check the truck back in on the app. I let her know about the cleaininess issues and she didnt seem to worried about them, nor walk out & check it or offer any kind of apology. Called 800 number and gave them the same info, I was given a reference number and was told I will get a call back.

I ordered a 20 foot truck with mats and a dolly. I paid online. The original pickup location was 7 miles away. The next day I was told they didn't have a truck and that I had to go pick up a truck 30 miles away which would be a 60 mile round trip. The truck they gave me was a 26 footer which I didn't want because of it's size, it had chicken bones in the floor boards, and they didn't have a dolly which I requested. They also charged me and additional 12 dollars for something?

I had to go to another location because the trailer I reserved didn’t get returned on time. At the new location Tim was very kind and helpful! Highly recommend!!!

Not a thing at this location, however TC Hanlon on Broad St. in Waynesboro needs to be closed down!!!! Shenandoah Rental in Fishersville needs help that knows what they are doing!!! Lousy representation of UHaul.

At first, I was quoted $44 online for one in my city. The day or my reservation, I got an email sending me to another location. When I get there, I had to pay an extra $30 from the original quote. Then the next day I was charged another $80 for going over the miles I originally out in, which I understand. I'm not happy that I was charged an extra $30 from what the original quote was.

I have mentioned this before. A car hauler should have a manual crank to pull up a disabled vehicle. I had to get some people to help me push my car up the ramps to get it on. Please make this happen. If I was alone I could have hurt myself or had a heart attack trying to get the car on.

Rented the largest U-Haul truck available 26 foot did not realize that the fuel economy was about four miles to the gallon at least according to how many much fuel they had to put in upon returning the truck said facility stated that it needed for gallons of fuel we travel 17 miles that works out to be about 4.2 miles to the gallon it's possible that truck was a pile but I think it gets better fuel economy than that very disappointed with U-Haul very disappointed with draft Auto again first off they weren't available when they stated they would be there to rest of vehicle and U-Hauls app total failure I totally disappointed in U-Haul and their U-Haul rental area oh well not better luck next time not ever using you all again

The website wasn't working and the drop off time wasn't asked when i had to call in the order. 8Am was listed as the drop off time which i wasn't aware of when my employee picked it up. We didn't return until 2PM that day and got charged an additional day rental Fee, i don't feel i should be responsible for that when the website wasn't working properly. very frustrating.

Called the given 888 number for drop off location at 8 pm when I arrived home. The number was not live and told me to call back between 8 and 5 pm. I had to drive total of 75 extra miles to and from my home to the drop off location.

No warning truck wasn't available at scheduled time- Had to wait an hour and half for truck to arrive I had movers I was paying by the hour-$65!! Furious! Location great uhaul terrible! And need again in a few months to move from storage to new house! Penske looking better for next time!

Vehicle had no washer fluid. Rental office was full of cigarette smoke. I would ensure vehicle was ready for road use and not have employees smoking in the rental office.

The U-Haul representative was very knowledgeable courteous and helpful. Great customer service. Far better than any of the other rental places in this area. From now on when I need a U-Haul I will go to Draft Auto Repair.

I’ll trully never use this service again. When I called to ask for availability last Thursday the man I talked to told me that there were no trucks available for the next day(when I needed it) but he did look up a location just right up the road from him and told me they had a 15’ truck available. He then asked if I wanted him to reserve it for me but before I told him “yes” I asked about how much it was for the time I’d be renting it. He told me it would be about $30. Based on that I told him to go ahead with the reservation. When I got there to pick it up the next the man that I dealt never told me the price and I didn’t ask because I was basing it off of what he had told me. So we had the 15’ truck for barely 3 hours and I’m sure we couldn’t have went over our miles. I was charged almost $90, which is FAR off from the $30 I was told. I’m sorry but that’s robbery. I will never use this service again and I’ll make sure no one else I know uses it either. Terrible to do anyone like this...

The service was great, however I paid for 2days with 250 miles and returned it with 264 miles and was charged for 64 miles. Math doesn’t add up....

i reserved for a 15ft truck, 3 weeks in advance and they only had a 26ft truck available. The clerk rudely told me to take it or he would rent it to somebody else. It cost me an additional $50 in gas. The truck was very poorly maintained, with head lights that didn't work and an engine that desperately needed work
