we were informed the night before pickup we couldn't get truck at location we wanted, had to go 50 miles out of our way.
Thomas CService was great at location. I had to drive 85 miles in one direction to pick it all up. Not the locations fault but something possibly better to accommodate. This is not a cheap experience

Gary Snow that I am calmer. Every customer service person in this experience rates excellent. Management on the other hand gets a below 1. The weather played a part, mover helpers excellent, but I only ended up using for an hour due to the lateness of the storm, had family help load. My feeling you owe me lots of money for the time I had to drive way out of my way to get the truck. Very displeased that customer service who wanted to help but could not due to rules. I am 74 and my husband has dementia, your rules and making your money did not ease my stress at all. Just think about the customers with your rules. Very sad.

Steven SDon't change anything at Double G. They were fantastic! The process of trying to secure the right size trailer is very confusing however. I successfully reserved a trailer in one location only to have an agent call and say it's not available there. That was an inconvenience.

Heather LOne of the staff very kindly emailed me to let know there was a padlock left in the truck (belonged to uhaul) but said I could come back to retrieve if it was mine. They seem very kind and helpful there.

Matthew Sdid not explain charges prior to charging my Credit Card . Was caught off guard on the cost charged when I had previously been led to believe I would be charged a daily rate from rep at UHaul and by what I read on your site. I was charged about 6x the daily rate for one way . Had i been informed correctly I could have made different choices before driving up 700 miles and than renting . And 2 hrs into my travels the running lights shorted out putting me at great risk of being hit by hit by other drivers . No running lights after dark is dangerous . I had to travel 300 plus miles with no lights . I wasn't a where of any road service by U Haul because I wasn't informed about that either . I could not wait for any if I had since I was on a schedule . Bad enough I incurred extra expense by having to stop at a Motel that wasn't budgeted for . Nor was the over priced charges budgeted for either . I expected and planned for 2 days rental of about $35 x 2 plus tax and insurance . And maybe a deposit til I turned in the Dolly . I expect to get a call and have a resolution offered on the charges . I feel I was railroaded by at least $100 dollars and I should receive a refund on my credit card . Maybe more since your equipment put my safety at risk . This is not the first time traveling thru many states that I have had electrical issues with you rental equipment .

Jonathan SI know that you're busy but I had to drive from northern Illinois to pick up the truck a day early. It cost me extra for gas in my vehicle. Other than that all was well.

John SThe location itself is ok but corporate office are garbage and a bunch of lying sack of liers. Told me that I was guaranteed a truck, which I reserved a month ahead. I called them two days and a day before my pick up and was told that the truck is guaranteed but when I got there, there was only one uhaul truck left, and there was me and a lady waiting for it. I reserved the truck a month ago and the lady reserved a few days ago. She called the corporate office crying and all and eventually got the uhaul. I believe she knows that person from uhaul office. Anyways, the truck that was mine was given to her, and I was sent to another location 30 minutes away. They said that they had switched me to that location and that switched happened after she called corporate which was the time when I was already there to pick it up. What's the point of reserving a uhaul a month advance if they are going to just give your truck away like that to someone who reserved theirs a few days ago? Anyways, uhaul sent me to another site 30 mins away to pick up another truck and said they would reimburse me $50 for not being able to give me that truck. It was their mistake and yet after the bill, I was still charged the full price. Therefore, uhaul is a lying sack of shit company. Worst company ever. Again location is good, but corporate office are assholes.
Kong MWe were very disappointed that when we made the reservation, it seemed the requested location in Platteville had a 10' truck. Then, when we got the email, it said it was a 20 minute drive to pick up the truck. So it wasn't ideal to have to find someone else to drive the car back AND pay for the gas to drive our car back and forth as well as the gas for the truck to drive back to Platteville.

patrick sEquipment was clean, but vehicle had blow-out on interior drive side tire. Caused damage to exhaust system. Cargo hold of vehicle leaked and rain water got in and damaged box holding computer towers.
Jesse PI went through the new process of picking up my U-Haul via App. It seems that a few things might have gotten mixed up and it was a little hard to get things picked up. My contract was for one truck when it did not have the keys in it. Also when I went to pick up my truck I was not able to go through the App on my phone to pick it up. I am not sure if that was partly due to the fact that I picked my truck up after 7am and for some reason system locked me out or if the contract was just never uploaded to my account. Even though I had to call the 1800 number several times to get my rental I would say if it was not for the small hiccups and issues it was an overall great experience. If things can be a little more organized and have everything on your account so I could have just signed in, completed the contract I think this a great move for U-Haul. To me makes things so much easier, but customer service was so helpful and polite and I fell they took the issues I was having to heart. Everyone I talked to was very understanding and tried to help me get things taken care of so I could get going. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to talk about my issues and concerns about the rental of the U-Haul this past weekend. I am willing to give more detail if needed, and help get this new check in and return of a U-Haul via U-Haul App. Thanks, Matt McLennan

Mark KDo your scheduling prior to the day before the pickup. I scheduled the pickup more than 30 days prior, I found out the day before that I had to drive 150 miles round trip to get the trailer. I was less than delighted. In my opinion, prior reserving should be rewarded with closer pickup. The client should also be advised that he or she may be required to travel to get their equipment. I will be seeking another vender if the need arises for a trailer.

JOHN MI have to drive 2 hours to pick up my truck. Not a fine drive. When I arrive there, the dealer is closed and I have no cell phone signal there.
