Uhaul had switched my location as the one I had originally booked through was closed and they booked the wrong sized trailer which caused us to leave somethings behind! Huge thanks to Bonnie though she was a doll and amazing to deal with!Josee M.
Very unprofessional. We called a head to see what time to arrive and were told 12pm as we had to travel an hour each way to pick up this uhaul. We arrived at noon and were told that the lady who knows the computer system would be back after she went for lunch. So we sat and waited. When the guy returned at 1:10 and no one else was there he had no choice but to try and help us but he didnt know the computer system. When the office lady finally showed up she was blatantly rude! Refused to help us if we didnt have masks on, no problem we put them on. She was the only one in the building who was wearing one. While she was processing our paperwork but ran into a problem and had to call in for help. My head just about exploded when she removed her mask to talk on the phone after she had been so rude to is about them. We requested moving blankets but they had none, although I see I was charged a dollar for them anyway. My husband was handed the keys and told to go get the truck that was buried in the snow at the side of their yard. No one did a walk around, or any sort of pre trip. It was a horrible experience that took 2 hours for us to get the truck, plus 2 hours of our travel time!! This company is not fit to lease out UHaul equipment. They are giving you a horrible name!! We had reserved a unit for High Prairie, but nothing was available even though we reserved 3 weeks ahead of time. We called Bonnie Sherk in Valleyview and she had a unit waiting for tires. She drove to Grande Prairie, picked them up and had the unit ready for us the next day. She went well beyond for us and we really appreciated her. Thank you so much for making our move easier.David H.
Rep didnt know how to change anything in computer had wrong date in I booked for 2 days and showed 1 left it apparently, I received a text saying it was to be back I sent back my email showing I booked for 2 days Then next day recieved 4 phone calls whilst I was driving to my destination with a very rude customer service rep telling me I basically stole the truck and there were customers waiting for the truck I felt TERRIBLE moving is stressful enough and this the tipping point, i have never had problems before. I booked online everything was good , but from there it was a disaster. DNA trucking is dirty not very customer friendly atmosphere and a tiny office in the back I though I was in a nightmare or scary movie honestly I was surprised this was a uhaul place didnt know where to go, the guy had no idea what he was doing as he only did it one time before. I cant say more because it was the worst experience.Tamara D.
The truck was great, but when our day came to pick it up we had to pick up an hour away instead of at the location originally agreed upon, when we went to drop it off we tried calling to drop it off locally but couldn't and could not get through to head office so had to drive another hour. You can make sure that when someone rents a vehicle that is it is going to be available! And not tell them 24 hours before they're supposed to pick up said vehicle the it is no long available. That was a pathetic move on uhauls behalf and you have forever lost my business and also the business of everyone I know.Jason D.

My request for another day was not passed on to the receiving U-Haul. Some miscommunication not sure if I misunderstood or not. These people were very helpful in the end. The experience trying to get a truck closer to my location when I first tried to reserve a truck was a nightmare but in the end it turned out okay thanks to friends who were available to travel out of their way to get the truck.Shirley H.

Booked a uhaul from Grande Prairie to Edmonton and instead had to pick one up in valleyview which is an extra 118km of driving. Was told the kilometres would be reimbursed and then received a bill for going over the kilometres. Improve customer service as a company not just this location.Justin T.

Make sure your online info is up todate. I was trying to find a utility trailer with a ramp when incalled the main line they said there wasnt ine with in 300km ( not a type O) of the city i was looking in , i then called DNA direct and they had 5 , about 5 min from me and were shocked to hear what i just told you , all in all it was still a good expierience and DNA went above and beyond , i will be going there again ??ROBERT C.

Truck was not ready (buried under snow) so we had to come back for it. Never did a check of the equipment with me, and after we got to our destination discovered a broken mirror and window lever that should have been documented prior to taking the vehicle. Staff was friendly though.TAMMY H.

All the staff were very helpful and understanding!! I had a trans-Canada move and was told to pick up the equipment was ready for pickup a day early. They went out of their way to stay open a little late to accommodate my need, helped me hook up properly and explained exactly how to use the equipment. It was highly appreciated!!REUBEN R.

U-haul waited until the day before our move to inform us they did not have the 20 foot truck we booked but they only have a 10 foot truck available (sized to move a studio or 1 bedroom apartment). When we have a 3 bedroom 2000 square foot home. The woman on the phone was very accommodating but was only able to provide us with the 10 foot truck and an 8 foot trailer with extra mileage as we had to make three times the amount of trips. They booked our truck to be picked up where we lived at the time but the trailer to be picked up out of a town over an hour from where we lived. A little inconvenient. The truck and trailer operated sufficiently. The shocks on the truck were quite impressive but the trailer was very bumpy had to go very slow so to not damage everything.BRADY S.

The whole process of uhaul is a joke. When I was told even though I reserved a truck a month before, that my truck was NOT guaranteed for when I need it, I was extremely unhappy!! Then to make us drive a hour away to pick it up when the business was actually closed that day!! Thank god she still helped us, but that was defiantly unprofessional of uhaul to do that not only to is as customers but to her as your partner. I will absolutely NOT be renting from uhaul ever again and I will be warning my friend and family and everyone else I talk to to not go through that stress!MEAGAN V.

It took over an hour and a half to rent the equipment. Nobody was at the pickup location when we got there. We had to phone someone. Something was wrong with their system so they couldn't put a hold on my credit card. Thy then took a 100 dollar deposit off that same card. I never hot this back yet, but will phone when I'm prepared to deal with their half an hour phone wait. When we finally got the Uhaul, the tires were completely bald. We got stuck in the snow and had to dig it out.TRISHA W.
I was living in High Prairie, AB and ordered a 20' truck from the High Prairie UHaul Detachment (I&P Mechanics), but they didn't have a truck available for me. I found it very frustrating and stressful that we didn't know until the day before that we were going to have to drive an hour to Valleyview to pick up the truck and an hour back. We were only given a $50 credit to cover the mileage from Valleyview to High Prairie, but nothing else. I believe that we should have been compensated for the gas and our time! Especially since it took a total for 3 hours to drive to Valleyview, pick up the UHaul and drive to high Prairie.TARYN P.
Great people, location just a little "out of the way" down a dirt road. I was convinced to book in Fox Creek, AB for Thursday April 30th. I called U-Haul call centre in Calgary, AB after not being able to reach the Fox Creek facility for 3 days after booking through U-Haul and they assured me nothing wrong, Fox Creek was open and I'd be able to pick-up there on 30th. Your Fox Creek location IS CLOSED. I called on Tuesday Aug 28th, to the call centre again, to confirm location a good thing since I was informed I had to pickup in Valleyview, AB another 100 km north of Fox Creek, AB. I lived in Whitecourt, AB (another location that closed last October 2011) and as it was, was going to have to drive 45 minutes to Fox Creek for pickup - and then to Valleyview another hour in my vehicle. It took 2 hours to drive back from Valleyview and I burnt a quarter of a tank of fuel in the U-Haul ($72.00 worth of fuel) just to get back to my home in Whitecourt to load the truck, and as well fuel in my personal vehicle to get to Valleyview.ANSON D.

I found the price to rent a trailer from Alberta to new Brunswick was quite high I understand supply and demand but the price from new Brunswick to Alberta is quite a bit lower I honestly didn't think that was fair but u-haul is the only company who rents equipment one way so they can do whatever they want I guess whether I think it's fair or not. I also contacted u-haul to discuss this matter and was hung up on by a manager now that's just great customer service but as for the rental I was able to get a 6x12 trailer for $717.00 when it could have cost over $1200 just cause that was what was available I was satisfied in some ways but felt ripped off cause it cost me $150.00 to rent from NB to alberta and over $700 to return. Same move same distance just opposite directionANDREW M.
