The "Express" Mobile Check in was the problem with my pickup not necessarily the pickup location. The word express makes you think this process is faster than going to an actual Uhaul location and IT'S NOT! We stood outside for over 30 minutes just checking in which is ridiculous. I had already done the check in process online prior to arriving but the verification process once I arrived took FOREVER. After 15 minutes of waiting on a call from a uhaul representative I decided to call uhaul myself. Even doing that still took another 20 minutes with verifying phone numbers. PS since when do you need to list 3 contacts total (1 driver and 2 alternatives) just to rent a uhaul?? But then AFTER I do all that, mind you this is about 35 minutes I've been standing outside in the cold, THEN the website tells me I have to go inside to the "counter" to get the keys. What a waste of time! If I knew this express mobile check in was not going to have a contactless way to get my keys I would've just booked my rental the traditional way. I say all this to say, you guys should get rid of your mobile check in process until you are able to perfect it because this was not helpful to starting my moving day on time at all. The verification process has to work faster and the keys need to be in a combination lockbox or you guys install a system to open the truck remotely. I was EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the "express" mobile check in. Not to mention they didn't have my dolly I requested which when a uhaul representative called the day before to switch my pickup location, promised/confirmed it would be in the truck. I've rented several times from uhaul and this was by far the worst experience I've had.Wendell H.
