First the site for pick up wouldn't work for me. I got transferred from person to person for 1 1/2 hrs. So pick up was delayed. My loafers had to leave shortly after we got home since we were so late. They did not include the dolly I booked. It was a 26 ft truck instead of 15 way to big for my needs so helped the gas company make more money. Very unhappy with my experience Valerie NashValerie N.

As I was not the driver of the vehicle I cannot comment about the condition of the location, but personnel on the phone very pleasant and helpful, when I was looking for item that may have been left on truck. Discovered that it hadn't been. One suggestion, whomever did the final receipt made an error on the km vs miles and was trying to overcharge me $327 more than what I had gone over. One of the service people at the 1-888 number was emphatic that the billing was correct which it was not. After calls to the Digby location and got number again and tried again, finally got someone who agreed that I was correct and redid the receipt to reflect the correct amount. Something to watch out for future clients. Be care on the logging of either miles or km. Keep it the same denomination.Sharon B.
Because of covid restrictions in nova scotia i was told by Michelle, a uhaul employee in Halifax that i could only return the truck after 14 days of confinement and that i would not be charged any extra, not for time nor for km because the location of return was Digby and not Saulnierville. When i returned the truck in Digby, i was not told that i had to pay extra, i was not handed a bill and i did not sign anything. I was certain that, as confirmed by Michelle Thorne, there were no other charges. Then I received a receipt by email showing that the girl in Digby, without my consent or knowledge added 747.50$ to my credit card.DANIELLE L.

We were over billed for a cleaning fee after a month rental $460 bucks. Invoice delivered noting the cleaning fee. We inquired by email and received the final invoices notating the $460 cleaning fee. When we inquired about the cleaning fee by email to the digby office the office said, the matter had been turned over to head office and to reach out to them. The agent responsible for booking the vehicle would not take our call ? We call 888 number and discussed the issue with Devin Mitchell who stated we had 1 hour to review the text message vehicle report. We never clicked onto these links provided as we were driving upon receipt. We were also never told by the digby agent that the text message vehicle condition form being published electronically. We asked for a paper version of the vehicle condition report and we were told it was all noted on the file. The digby agent christa told me that all the damage noted to her upon receiving the keys and when i inspected the vehicle, I went back into the office ans showed christa the damaged front dash, missing mirror interior unit and damaged exterior cube runner. She came outside and I pointed out the damage she told me it was noted. It's interesting to point out that Text messages are not a legal form of receiving a notice or and terms of a contract. It's super disappointing that after inquiring about the $460 cleaning fee that devin after reviewing some detail which were were not provide he suggested the vehicle had an airbag cover missing. We asked for him to produce the orginal report showing all damage knowing we were not disclosed a vehicle damage report. the agent would not produce a printed vehicle condition report. We were giving no gas and had to put gas in it upon driving from the digby location to the nearest gas station as the indicator came on showing only 44 miles left. We would like this matter resolved. We are not disputing the mileage or daily fee. We were told mark murphy would be looking at our file. We are prepared to make the final payment minus the cleaning fee and gas amount charged. i was flaged as a bad rental no fault of the pick up place however it took uhaul head office over 35 minutes to fix the problem not impressed with uhaul head office ,i believe we should be compensated for this, and felt very embarrassed ,to uhaul like nothing to it .Please contact meMAURICE B.

Having the option to have/bring a spare trailer tire would be nice. On my last adventure with uhaul, we had a flat tire the first night, then a blown tire the second night. Waited on roadside assistance a lot longer than should have been required. This time, we caught the tire before it blew, but it would have been nice to be able to change the tire ourselves instead of staying a night in a hotel.Allison B.

We arrived at our Nova Scotia home and went into a 14 day isolation. Arrangements we had made to return the trailer fell through. UHaul in Digby and Halifax allowed us to hang onto the trailer until our quarantine was over... no charge. Thank you UHaul Nova Scotia for being so understanding during this Covid period. Excellent advice, the agent was in the process of training a new agent and was very professional, to the point, by the book and detailed. After dropping off the UHaul to Digby after picking it up in Halifax, I learned that there is a list of aspects that should have been checked over at time of rental that were never completed, such as the trailer being swept out, stickers over damages and chains being crossed. None of this was completed at the Horseshoe Drive location, but was rather explained to me at the Digby location. It was also never explained to me until after that had I removed the trailer during the span of my rental at any time that the insurance would have been voided which the agent in Digby informed me of, excellent service from the Digby location.JOHN COLM M.

Tri-counties was fantastic. The truck, however, had bald wheels, a bad back latch, it had to be towed, at my own expense, three times due to no traction. Simply driving it empty at 40km per hour to return it I experienced a 189 on the highway. I was forced to back down a 1km hill due to slipping. The back latch stuck for over 2 hours at 2 am during a storm. Repeated calls to the 800 number were useless. Really let down by U-Haul and feared for my safety. Awful.BLEU R.

The uhaul computer system was not functioning, i waited close to one hour and after the one hour I left with the unit without contract. When I received the contract by email it included insurance that I did not request. The scanned document did not show the total cost thus I did not realize it was included until final payment was processed, again by email after drop off due again to u haul computer problems at the return site. Very unimpressed with the booking and return computer systems...please credit the unwanted insurance .bruce M.

Truck cab and windshield were filthy (muddy) at pickup. When we went to clean the windshield, no windshield wiper fluid. Only one woman could check us in and she left after giving us directions when we were only minutes away - so we had to wait over 20 minutes for her return to check in. Woman was unable to tell us how anything worked. 2500 mile trip with no cruise control. UHaul should clarify well in advance that truck is water resistant, not waterproof. We would definitely have packed differently. We appreciated the newer truck (mileage about 15,000 miles), but it was very uncomfortable for a long trip. Given that we were moving internationally, we did not appreciate being given 1 day's notice that UHaul was changing the truck we had selected, the pick up location we had selected, and the pickup day we had selected. The district manager was helpful giving us additional mileage (the pickup location was more than an hour's drive roundtrip from the original location) and time (for the early pickup) as well as having the tires and oil checked before pickup. We did not appreciate having to drive a much larger truck, however.Francis A.
