My comments have nothing to do with the pick up or drop off locations other than neither were my originally selected locations nor were they convenient. Although I made my original reservation for a 4x8 cargo trailer 5 days in advance neither that trailer or a 5x8 were available at the location confirmed to me by U Haul and I was never advised by U Haul that an alternative location was selected by them. That location being completely out of the way for my purposes.Earl M.

THE GUY IS A THEVE, I BROUGHT HIM BACK THE TRUCK NICE & CLEAN & HE CHARGES ME $54 DOLLARS FOR CLEANING. I NEED THIS $54 DOLLARS BACK OR I'll CANCEL THE ENTIRE CHARGE . SINCERELY Y. Be open when it is returned. For some reason I was directed to return my truck to this place which was not open on weekends. Then I was charged $25 for cleaning. We left the truck as we found it, but it was unlocked because I had no padlock. I was the one who threw out empty bottles left by someone else in the cab. My recent experience with U-hual was very unpleasant. I initially reserved a truck to be picked up only 5 minutes from my house. Two days prior to my move date I was called by a very rude uhual employee named tayshawn who told me my pickup destination would be moved. Despite the employee's rude manner of speaking and lack of knowledge I was understanding that sometimes these things happen. I was fine when after being asked the employee finally told me that I would be comped the 40 mile difference. Because the pick up location was further away I asked him to change my pick up time to 830am instead of 9:00am. Since that phone conversation I persistently checked my uhual app for changes in my reservation. Everything seemed in order until I arrived at the pick up location. When I tried to perform the self pick up the option was grayed out which was strange because I was there at 8:30am like my pick up time had always stated. After restarting the app multiple times I learned that after I had already driven 30 minutes to the pick up location that my reservation time had shifted to 10:00am. After calling the area field manager he told me that the previous customer returned the truck late last night and it had never been marked as received. I understand this this isn't fully avoidable but what is unacceptable is: that no one had alerted me about this change The app showed no changes No one attempted to find a different truck nearby that was availableMohammed S.

This is the second rental. The first reservation I made was in Tuxedo, NY. When I got there, my equipment was not there. It look 2 1/2 hours, long phone calls, cancelling the fist reservation and ultimately a new reservation to get a van in a new location at 10:30pm. Southfields is fine. But my kids were screaming tired. It was an stressful and unpleasant experience.Laura V.

Exceeded my expectations. They provided wonderful customer service and was very accommodating in making a reservation and for pick-up and drop off. Staff was very helpful and friendly.The truck was ready and clean when I needed it and he contacted me the day before to ensure me the vehicle will be ready. Not very respective service. This location is short staffed, and also has a number of things all at once - did not feel like the U-Haul business was a priority. Plus egress is limited, so one has to back out of the property.Alexander L.
If we are told the car does not have to be back until 2:45 than it should state that on our contract and do not say it i has to be back 1 hr earlier. The rental is for a day which is 24 hours not 22 or 23 hrs.kevin L.

Your best bet is to avoid using the internet to make your reservation. Singing up for the vehicle is okay, but it seems you will get locked in to using the internet reservation from that point forward. In other words, even if the place you're picking the vehicle up is open, that doesn't mean that they can help you check the vehicle out. You'll still need to follow the internet checkout method. You may even get an email that tells you that your pickup location is NOT what you singed up for.THOMAS W.

When I got there they didn't have the trailer and send me 15 miles away They said for my inconvenience I would get a 3 day credit which I never received. I haven't even picked up my rental yet, bc the rental was not available when i needed it. I have currently been on the phone for over 35 minutes, have spoken to 7 people and then got transferred back to the main line. now i'm holding again. the only reason i am holding so i can get a copy of this call bc it is fucking ridiculous. nobody is communicating with each other and nobody is able to help. then i was transferred to customer service who also can do nothing to help me. If i wasn't on such a short notice i would cancel my truck b/c of the shitty shitty service i am getting. nobody is communicating and now i have been on the phone for 45 minutes and still nobody will HELP ME.Alyson P.

Drop off location was closed at 6pm and was unlit. No signs stating it was also a uhual. It was an auto body shop that it had to ask the gas station down the street where it was. He told me it happens frequently because there is no signage.David W.
