The truck was not completely full when I picked it up. I was told it was. It took 4 gallons to fill it up, and I only went 8.5 miles in total. I know those trucks don't get very good gas mileage, but I doubt they only get 2 miles to the gallon. Just because the tank looks full does not mean it is. I shouldn't have to pay for someone else's usage.Kristi M.

A 20 dollar after hours fee? What in the hell is that? I asked if I can drop it off after they are closed and was told I could, no mention of a fee. I could have held on to the truck longer and dropped it off the next day during hours had I known that. Dewayne is known as a piece of shit mechanic in town and I guess I should have expected him to charge bullshit fees since he's to garbage of a mechanic to make a livingWayne A.

Dewaynes was closed when we arrived with the truck. The Uhaul agent that gave me the delivery address told me Dewaynes closed at 5PM, we were there at 4:40PM. This morning Dewaynes charged my credit card for an after hour service fee. This is very poor business.Gary K.

Trying to charge an additional day when I dropped off on time. They close at noon on Saturdays. Cleaning charge applied but I took photos and video of the unit. Dewayne then said it was because the trailer was not parked in the yellow lines. If you drop one off at this location make sure these crooks are there or you will be charged for something,Scott C.

Bad: I was charged for 2 trucks, but only reserved one. I was charged for 2 because I didn't pick up at the exact pickup time, it was an hour later than I scheduled. Most rental companies allow pickup anytime after the scheduled time. Uhaul charges for a second rental if you are late picking up. Good: The online reservation is mostly easy and so is drop off. Just make sure you're not in a hurry to leave....It can take a little bit of you don't have a good phone signal...Marinda W.

This location should be Condemned due to their pathetic customer service. They reduce your miles against your online reservation, increase fare, don't show where your truck is parked, don't give general instructions on the operation of truck, on asking there to come outside and check about scratches on truck without a cross on it, they ssy NO rudely. They say either take the truck else they are glad to cancel your reservation. Totally upsetting the mind so you can do a wreck. I have taken Uhaul many times before, but this agency is SHAME SHAME SHAME. CONDEMN .Amit J.

Had to wait 45 minutes for someone to hook the trailer up and tell me the lights worked properly. Not sure why I couldn't have done this myself but that was not an option. Why would I hook up to a rental trailer and take off knowing the lights weren't working. Anyway it all worked out.Jason H.

So I drop off in Proctor, Texas at 12:30 PM and the truck gets stuck when I pulled into this location the truck got stuck on the shoulder of the highway because the drop-off was to steep but you couldn't tell because the grass was grown up to high. So, I called the number shown on your site and got no answer. So I leave the truck as it is because I couldn't move it because, again, it was stuck but was off the main highway enough that it was just barely on the shoulder. I called again around 2:00 PM. Again, no answer. So I go back to the truck again just before 3:00 PM thinking that maybe someone with the company had come by as there were 2 other trucks there. Well, the truck was in the same predicament and I am worried as I have at least tried to return the truck but have reached no one yet. Finally a little after 3 i call the number listed on the uhaul site for the proctor, texas location, as I had tried numerous times earlier and I talked to Margaret who said that the location was no longer being used and that I would need to call the corporate number to get help with the truck getting un-stuck. (She did not seem to care that I was in a predicament with the truck, only that this was no longer a location to drop it off at) So I called the corporate number and talked to Tammy who was helpful and gave me the regional/district number and I called it and talked to Jason. He was helpful as well and said that he would call Margaret to come get the key and paperwork out of the box as I had already put them in the orange box at the proctor, texas location and he said that he would also call the roadside person in Abilene to come take care of the stuck truck issue and told me not to worry with it since I had already turned in the key & paperwork at the drop off location that I was given in the text that I received but turned out was not even the right location to begin with. The original address that I was given led me to a convenience store that was not even a uhaul location. I was never given the above address in Stephenville at all. In fact on my contract it didn't give an address or phone number. I was supposed to drop off in Proctor, Texas according to the text that I received and that location turned out not to be a location that is longer being used I guess. So needless to say over about a 2 1/2 hour period I fretted with the stuck truck issue in a location that I guess is closed and I never knew to drop off in Stephenville and this issue needs to be fixed for future customers. It was a big hassler to worry with a stuck truck issue when I needed to be focused on moving into my new home. I cannot give a rating on the place in Stephenville, as I never knew to use it.James D.

This is the 2nd time we use this location. First time was great, our u-haul was ready and clean. I didn't communicate with any employees the 1st time. All was completed through the website. Now the 2nd time is a different story. Upon arrival I checked in through the website and got the keys from the person inside. As soon as I got in the uhaul I was very disappointed that it was a mess. Dust and dog hair all over the seats. Which I took pictures of and uploaded them with the questions asked on the website. In the end I received a discount for cleaning my own U-Haul not from this location since they refused. But from the ones in charge of them. Pictures don't lie.Cindy B.

The van was terrible to drive, Noisy, slow and unresponsive. It didn't even have a cruise control and was very difficult to maintain a constant speed. While the steering tracked okay, every time you hit a bump on the right side, it felt like something was loose or broken.Jimmy W.

*we had to go to this location, because our reservation for the other place was taken, but the shop was closed. Due to this, we had a rent a LARGER truck than reserved and pay more.
