Manager was friendly and helpful. Site is a part time franchise so budget extra time for pick-up. Get the manager contract info to notify when returning equipment during off-hours.

Drop off location was closed on Saturday. Had to just leave the trailer and stumbled through Self Check-in on-line. Worried something would happen to the trailer after I left it. But sent photos for self check in.

Geoffreid with U-Haul corporate was absolutely hands down the worst customer support member I have ever had to speak with. His idea of working out an issue was to do his best in telling me how I was wrong and used every verb other than stupid when addressing me. I was irate at the idea that a man could possibly be that rude when his one and only job was to assist. The issue was that I never received a confirmation to my email of changed pickup location. I was very cautious in reserving with U-Haul corporate since I had issues previous times being a military member I move a lot. I was assured it would be a seamless process and here again I was delayed several hours in a time sensitive move. When I spoke to geoffreid I first asked for his supervisor. His statement was that I did not need to speak to a supervisor. After I insisted that I did need to speak to his supervisor he then told me repeatedly that he does not have a supervisor or manager. I asked for the $50 reimbursement fee for not sending a confirmation nor contacting me. He said NO. No explanation was given. I asked him several times to stop the conversation and escalate the issue to a superior staff members and he told me there was nobody over him. I asked them if he was the ceo of U-Haul and hung up. I called back and was helped by a nice lady that was helpful. It is employees like geoffreid that kills striving companies like U-Haul. Because of people like that I would never use nor EVER recommend U-Haul to a friend or family member unless it was the last option available. It’s really a shame too because mike at the pickup location and Larry at the drop off location were both very helpful, very clean, extremely professional and even apologetic to the phone call I had with corporate. It just makes me sick to have had to even deal with it.

I had the reservation for quite a while and when I called the day before, as required, to the reservation, I was told that location did not have the appliance dolly that I had reserved. I requested that he get one from another location. He said he could not. I called customer service and they said they couldn't transfer one either. They just gave me a dealer 30 miles away that I would have to drive to and pick it up myself. I don't consider this good customer service.

This was easy, dropped off the truck, spoke with the owner. He was concerned to know if we had any problems at all. Which I answered no, we had no problems. The truck ran good and obvious it has been maintained well.

Not Location related but I rented a 10 ft truck and I am a big guy and the seatbelt did not fit around me (it was about 3 inches short) . I would strongly recommend changing that.

Everything went smoothly with the rental. We were treated very professionally and courteously. I wish there was someway for me to upload a picture to show that the location is very well marked with a large sign that says "Detail Plus Brakes . Oil Changes . 828-557-9740" plus a smaller sign that says "Moving?" and has three pictures of U-Haul trucks and the prices. You can't miss it! I saw a review saying it is not well marked, but it IS!! If we need to rent another U-Haul, Detail Plus is where we will go.

As it turned out the truck we had was a bad one. It had over 140,000 miles, the steering mechanism caused so much play in steering on the highway which made a very long and tedious drive filled with stress. The oil light came on so we stopped and put in quart of oil but then the light wouldn't go off. We tried to call and report these issues but couldn't reach anyone on Sunday which is the day we picked up the truck. When it came time to unload the truck, the company Cross Movers called at 6:30am and said that their helper quit and wanted to know if anything was heavy because only her husband would show up! ..so we ended up paying the same price and my husband and I not only had 1/4 of the load unpacked before the guy arrived and then helped him to the end. When we returned the truck the guy didn't care one bit about our experience with the truck and his only statement was, this truck is rough! and I don't have time to check you in. So, wouldn't recommend Uhaul in this location....Nor would I recommend the Cross Movers..nice guy but very unprofessional.

The ratacheting gear mecharism was rusty and not lubricated . I had to soak borne mechanisms with WD 40 overnight to release the lockdown webbing over the front wheels. Otherwise the rental experience was fine.

The address shown above was where I had originally done the booking. When I arrived there, Mike told me that my name was not on his computer list of renters and that there were no 4x4x8 ft cargo trailers, the size that I required. After contacting u haul, we were told that our pick-up location had changed because the Old Blue Ridge personnel were on vacation. Clearly, that was not the case. Moreover, we didn't want to rent from Bob's Pawn Shop as we learned that he was argumentative with a previous renter. Eventually we were given a 5x5x8 cargo trailer and headed off. I am assuming that we will be charged for a 4x4x8 trailer as this is the size that we requested. The change in pick up location was not of our own doing or fault. Please confirm that this message was read and that I was charged only for the smaller cargo carrier. Michael Birman mbirman@rogers.com Thank you.

Location was not well marked. Since it was at a car repair facility, the person I really needed to see was not available at the time. Other personnel should be aware of the turn n procedures. I had forgotten the original contract from U-Haul in Florida. The person there said I needed it. I found out latter that they could have looked it up on their computer. That would have saved me a 25 mile round trip to get it.

I called Rick's Pawn Shop in Blairsville first to drop off. Whomever answered was very rude and said they would not accept a drop off without a reservation. I would rate this one ZERO!!! Again - Detail Plus was excellent!

I selected a one way rental, but the drop off process was very unclear. The location where I dropped off the truck was closed, but 24 hour drop off was listed as available. The truck was returned the same day it was rented (Saturday), even though the contract allowed 2 days and the truck wasn't due till Monday. The truck was not logged back in until mid morning on Monday, so i was charged an extra day's rental. I had to call and get the charges credited. This was an unnecessary step and another hassle. I will probably not use U-Haul again because of all the unnecessary phone calls and confusion from beginning to end.

I was told when I wanted to return it to the location that I picked it up from that I could not do so. I called the Uhaul number and they told me that I could return it to any location so I took it back to the same town but a different location.

This location is actually NOT open on saturdays... fortunately it just so happens the owner swung by to work on something while we were on hold with U-Haul customer service. He went out of his way to boot up his system and set us up with our trailer. We can’t express how much we appreciated his help and him going out of his way to make sure we got our rental.
