Worst experience I have ever had! The truck had ashes all over it! The sunviser on the driver side was broken I couldn't even see while driving! The brakes need to be done! I was putting gas in and the gauge wasn't moving so I put more and and then it jumped to filled! Didn't even get my money back. Horrible company

Windows filthy and no windshield wash , chips in particular Cheetos all over passenger seat dirty van not happy besides took me a half an hour to pick up van even tho I online checked in a real cluster mess never again and by the way the 1999 van cost me 144.00 rip off horrible check in system very dissatisfied would never recommend U-Haul ever

Worked well for me and the price is fantastic.! I rented a 4 x 7 trailer towed behind my Grand cherokee .I would suggest one of those fiberglass drive way markers in a neon color be placed at the rear corners on the smaller trailers.I was going straight and a car waiting to make a left from the other direction almost didn't see the trailer behind me. His stupidity yes ...but those end markers would help.

Very unprofessional, poor customer service. If U-haul contacts me I will elaborate. Too long an explanation for typing here. I will say that your poor service, for a $30.00 trailer rental, cost me over $300.00 in crane service overtime fees!

The one issue with the phone was the item over writing chrome. It took me forever to figure this out. Also the fuel read full but went below the full line right as I pulled out and just about 2 miles away. When I filled it it went way above the full line. Just knit picking

The staff were very helpful and attentive, especially with my changing schedule, technical glitches with uploading images, and other snafu's. The app had issues uploading the hi res images of my license because of the poor quality of the Verizon mobile data network in the area. I suggest add options to control the resultion and file size for such situations. Thank you for all your service. R.

Please make sure that the time for the lock box is adjusted properly so that a customer doesn't have to wait an hour for pickup during non business hours. Even more concerning: DO NOT ALLOW RENTERS TO SMOKE IN THE TRUCKS!!! Mine had cigarette ashes all over, and the ashtray was filled with cigarette butts from the previous renter, which made the whole truck reek for the entire time I was in it...even with the windows open!!

My experience was horrible. My original reservation was changed last minute and my locations moved more than once. The online service was terrible!! I couldn't get my truck at pick up due to location devices not able To pick up my location. Once the company rep helped me over the phone I was able to get the keys and truck. Same problem on the return as well as the fact that I could not get the keys out of the ignition. The rep had me leave the keys in and was sending someone to fix it. I wasn't able to finalize and still haven t gotten any bill or receipt. There was another person having the same Problem as me at the rt 23 location. I was put under a time restraint since I had my reservation changed And there were no trucks available for my original reservation so I was trying to hurry but unable to due to the poor system. It was one of the worst experiences I've had with a company. Never again will I use uhaul.

Don't charge them full price for a trailer that is unsafe and almost left us stranded on the highway that could have caused an accident trailer Surge brakes were not working properly because the ball kept coming loose cause the screw down adjuster kept backing off and felt like the trailer was gonna break off if we didn't stop every 5 minutes to fix it and no one has reached out to me on this issue never again renting from u haul

The parking lights didn't work once it got dark. The brake, signal, and flashers worked fine. I did note this upon return and there is no doubt in mind mind this will be fixed ASAP since deniers rental is reputable. I would use them again in the future.

Ensure location services , was a problem. My phone was set up properly but it wouldn't let me get to the next step. Had a hard time getting in touch with someone to help. Took about 45 minutes which set us back that time. We returned the truck in perfect condition with a full tank of gas at 5:57 pm. Which means I was 3 minutes early. I was charged an “After Hours Charge”. My time was for 12-6 pm. That jeans I back early. Please remove the after hours charge. Thank you

The app check in process took 20+ minutes. If that is an option you offer, it cannot take 20+ minutes. The truck had a box in it and was not cleaned out. I was charged a 25 dollar cleaning fee when it was returned the same way as I received it. Terrible experience. Will not be going back.

We made sure to have the uhaul back before 2pm. There was no one at location to check us back in. Also I had to drive an extra 30 miles instead of being able to go to a location closer. ( where I made my reservation)

We had trouble opening lock on truck. We were standing outside in pouring rain for 40 min trying to open it. Then they applied that time to our usage time of 6 hours.

I thank DeBoer's for stepping in when the agent at Highlands where my reservation was confirmed failed to provide the reserved vehicle. However the vehicle at DeBoer's was not up to U-haul standards in fact they already had painted over the U-haul logos and the vehicle had a "for sale" sign in it. With 111,000 miles on the odometer it got the job done but no A/C and a bit rough. Pin holes in the roof of the box, fortunately it did not rain.

Wear a mask!!! Special in times like covid 19 I got charged after hours but was never advised their would be an additional charge. The person only told me to leave the trailer at the parking lot. I don't think that's right to do buiesness this way

The people at the drop off site worked with us well. I want to actually review U-Haul the company not the drop off location. It was not clear how to book for multiple days and a representative basically lied to me about how many days I could keep the truck. Then reps at the pick up place we're mad I hadn't dropped it off on time.

As per my original reservation, I originally had set up and confirmed online check in for a different location (2 Legion Pl in Franklin NJ). The 15ft truck was there waiting for me. I proceeded with the online check in. I was "awaiting approval" for over 30 minutes. I am assuming the server crashed or the online check in team was overwhelmed. My moving crew was at my house waiting for me while I sat "awaiting approval" from Uhaul. No one responded to the chat function when I asked for an update. My wife connected with a representative on the phone who updated our reservation and pointed us to a new location 3 miles away (DeBoer's Auto Inc 77 State Rte 23 N Hamburg, NJ 07419). We were told there was a 15 ft truck but upon arrival, there was only a 10ft truck available. Out of desperation, I took the 10ft truck. I wasted over 1.5 hours and my moving crew sat at my house without a truck to load while I dealt with the Uhaul reservation. Given the smaller truck size, I was forced to make 2 separate hour long trips to my new home. This put me over the allotted mileage. I was charged about $75 more for the 10ft truck than I was quoted for the original 15ft truck. Overall, Uhaul's inability to accomodate the online check in process made my move extremely difficult and stressful. I encourage them to tighten up their procedures if they are going to offer online check in and maintain doing business throughout this COVID 19 pandemic.

Learn how to make an App correctly that understands if you are connected to the internet. The extra fees are just a way to squeeze money out of people and we all know it. If you want to do well with PR, stop being greedy bastards and cater to what people need/want.

We got our equipment 12 1/2 hours after we requested it. There was one issue after another. I could use the website and the key was not where it was supposed to be. We had to reschedule our packing crew two times. We ended up having to load the truck in the dark until midnight. It was a mess and headache!

I brought the truck back the same day although it was due the next day @9:00. My contract included 24 hours. However, I was charged an after hour fee of $20.00. This is CRAZY and a hidden fee!

You need to put in CLEAR writing that the truck has to be filled back up(I know, common sense) and also the price per gallon for not filling. Just like rental car companies. We forgot, he gave us the option to go fill but we didn't have time. Should've been discussed it when we rented. Also, I want to know my charges when I return the van. I had to ask. He was going to email but I wanted to know when I returned it. Not wait til I get home and look at an email receipt. They should print a receipt when I give the keys. This was during business hrs. How do I know he isn't going to add other charges once I leave?

I did not get a contract when I picked up the truck. I was overcharged for mileage and gas and a hand truck!!!!! when I called the pick up place to complain I was speaking to a person that didn't even work there and never heard back from the person in charge to discuss the overages. Just horrible

Truck was not available when we arrived for our 12:15 pick up time. Did not come back until 2:40pm which affected our time we had to get everything done. The employee at the location was terrfic, came back after hours at 2 to wait for the return and get checked out to usso we didn't have to do the 24/7 online app.
