Unreal treatment yelling threatened police after extending my reservation with uhaul as I had no other choice being on island during covid and needed to unload the truck in uhaul storage the next day still is why it was extended plus the ferry and personal matters I was charged way more than I should and credit card was debited from my card without notice finally getting it refunded now I'm banned apparently so I can't finish my move. Charged $200 in late fees but reservation clerk said this wasn't for me to worry about other people or families next rentals so he harrased me yelling at saying the police would be coming it's stolen if not returned as agreed this $200 on late fees was not on the reciept he submitted to head office as I found out he suited a hour later after I left it was $100 late fees but I was told only one $50 late fee for the additional extension we agreed over the phone withuhaul reservations so u owe me $150. I'm now banned to rent the trick tonight to finish my move home to the island after all of this . Horrible experience business and I would like money back asap email@example.comTravis M.

The gentleman who is running the store (I, unfortunately, don't know his name) was nice enough but he was alone. The truck was empty but could have used a sweep out. We received the truck with 1/8 of a tank when it should have been 1/4. He then informed us that if we filled the tank up to 1/4 when we bring it back we would receive the fuel credit. We didn't go far enough that we needed to fill it up to 1/4. Also, it didn't make any sense to fill up the tank more than how we received it. So not only did we end up paying for gas but we didn't get the credit back so spent an additional $30. I wouldn't recommend U-haul unless you have a choice of vehicles. A lot of fine print that adds up.ANESHA B.

The van I received was disgustingly dirty. There hadn't been any cleaning or sanitizing done. I had to clean and sanitize the van myself. Incredibly disappointing. The only good was the service from the shop where is picked up the vanShelly P.

It was my second time I went this location close.my house. I got so poor clerk. I do no know the name but the unique old and white hair working there. He do not provide any information to the client, rude and no controller emotional.Lucas L.
The online components didn't operate at all. Check in was useless online, a phone call to customer support had me on hold for over a half hour, and they told me to just go in and just do everything in person anyways. For the chrck out, we tried to drop off keys after hours, but the key drop box instructs to verify details via the online app. Again completely useless spending over 30 mins trying to get the app to work, checking with the contract and trying on multiple devices totaling well over 30 mins. Useless again. We had to return the following day with the key because we could not complete proper verification via online app. Uhaul works fine, minus the online components. The on line part is COMPLETE GARBAGE. Thank you. The online part needs complete review. Total trash in my experience.PAUL B.

Everything went well! At the beginning I was a bit concerned as the majority of u-haul locations in town had bad reviews. Also this was my first experience with u-haul so I was unsure what to expect. However, everything from start to finish went great at this Location . Staff was super friendly and explained everything I needed to know. Check in / out process went smoothly. It took 30 minutes to get the keys from the location despite the fact that I had loaded all my info online. At the location, the system wasn't working so I had to wait for that to get sorted. The truck had a tire with low air.Sean W.
Van cabin had an odor, steering wheel was worn so much the rubber underlay was rubbing off, windshield wipers were much less than satisfactory ( smeared the rain on the window - the entire trip ( it rained all day). Felt very unsafe)). Both driver and passenger doors would not close at first attempt. But, eventually they would close if we pulled with excessive force! Will Never rent such a poorly maintained rental vehicle ever again. When you reserve a vehicle two-three weeks In Advance you would expect it to be evaluated by professionals. Not this time. What are to do when we show up and it's the only rental available?? Will not suggest or recommend uhaul to anyone. In fact, we feel as though it's best to go on social media and tell our whole experience. Why not supply safe, inspected vehicles for each rental? The seats were not cleaned and covered in pet hair or something and the Low Tire pressure indicator was on when I picked up the vehicle for both front left and right tires. The agent came out and kicked them and said â€˜They are fine' and walked away.Brian M.
First of all, I never heard that I have to drop off at the same location. I have been using U haul all the times when I need but this is first time that I am forced to return at the same spot. I was so disappointed about that. Moreover, the representative of the location was rude and not helpful at all. I spent $60 more money to uber home thanks to him.Sangjoon B.

Only issue was a.low.tire pressure warning which should not be on as tire pressure was fine. Service was friendly and very efficient...pick up and drop off took 10 minutes total or less!Mark W.
Very bad customer service from the clerk. It took us around 20 minutes from the time we got to the place to actually take the car. There were issues with doing the mobile check in, however the employee said â€œthat was the method chosenâ€. He only helped us after asking 3 times - he was on the phone and not paying attention at all to the customers right in front of him. Also, he didn't explain properly what we should do upon returning the truck - it was the first time we rented.Felipe N.

The location rep was excellent. He was busy (downtown is popular) but he hustled and I was on my way in good time. He insisted I look at his computer screen to see the rental details, especially related to cost. But, U-Haul hides the pre-departure costs as best they can while insisting the dealer acts transparently. Example, the daily rate is very, very reasonable; a gift. But, if you don't want to allow U-Haul to debit your credit card for what ever they want for any ding you get, you better ante up for the extra 4 hour damage protection equal to 30% above the quoted rental. And, the mileage is crazy. Here in Canada it's quoted as per kilometer, but charged in US miles (look up the difference). I used the truck for 2 of the 4 hours the rental quote was for. I drove between 8 and 9 miles total (the truck has no kilometer speedometer). My bill was move than double the super-duper 4 hour rate (not including extra taxes U-Haul is not responsible for charging). I was actually happy; the location was convenient, I used the truck to good advantage for my needs, I can afford the costs and I'm not naive, the vehicle rental industry is what it is. But they asked me to comment!Don B.

The uhaul employee was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. The truck that I rented very clearly needed to be serviced. The brakes were awful and sounded like a cement truck every time they were engaged.Amanda B.
