Take this site off of the map. The operators there are the most unprofessional service providers I've ever encountered. I was treated rudely, sworn at and yelled at almost in the same breath both at pick up and return. You seriously need to look at the reviews for this site. They are very unbecoming of U-haul. If my rent reservation gets moved to this site as this rental had I will cancel it on the spot.

Dave was great. Very friendly and went through everything on the contract for me. But I originally booked and confirmed a truck at the Shell station on Wisconsin Avenue in Appleton. That guy speaks very poor English, shouldn't be in customer service and was laughing about the fact that he didn't have a truck available for me. I was not then nor am I still happy about that situation. Needless to say that I won't ever use his business for anything again. You might want to consider finding a different place to have those trucks. Thank you, Shelley Sheldon

Very cool! Rick is a good guy and very efficient. No BS just get the job done. He was very busy when i showed up to get the truck People were lined up out the door. He found my online reservation printed out some papers gave me clear simple instructions and i was on my way. In 5 minutes. A very good experience, thanks

I put the truck and trailer thru a lot on my trip from Washington state to Wisconsin.. mountains, hard braking when necessary. Equipment was obviously well-maintained. Was never nervous about how it would perform. Was never nervous about how it would perform.

The individual connecting the trailer to my truck was unusual to put it nicely. There was a problem with the connection point because of corrosion, the problem was simple to solve just disconnect, clean the plug, and reconnect it. But in the process, the worker kept insisting I turn my headlight switch all the way to the right and doing it himself 2x even after I kept insisting that is not how my truck works. The worker finally decided to get a tester and verify my truck was bad in his mind after 5 minutes of wasted time the worker finally allowed me to get down disconnect the plug reconnect it and everything worked fine. Then the worker proceeded to tell me that when I return the trailer I have to back it in, then continued to instruct me on how to back up a trailer?

The worst experience I have ever had first disgustingly dirty then when dropping it back off they removed the trailer from my new truck and let it slam into my truck putting a big gouge in my truck. After watching that the employee started swearing at me and stating it was my fing fault. Very upset with their services expecting your insurance company to cover the damage let alone expect a refund for the disrespect I got very disturbing how people can be treated. I am in customer service and this was horrible. I am expecting to hear from someone with an apology and payment for damage to my brand new 2020 Silverado. Very unhappy.

The rear passenger tire on the truck was very bald. The drop off location caught it. The didn't record the mileage of the truck correctly which resulted in us being over by 20,000 miles. That's right, 20K miles.

When I got to the pickup location I was told that they did not have the truck I reserved (26 foot truck). Was told that there were no trucks available at any location in the area. After about 15 min they offered me a 15 foot truck that had to check in yet. U-haul traffic hindered the entire day as I had to make multiple trips to clear out of the apartment by the time I needed to be out by.

One directional signal light I was told was not working. I needed trailer so took anyway. Not sure he knew what he was looking at, because top directional son trailer worked. Space for getting in & out is challenging.

The trailer was clean and in good shape but the building was a dump with two employees not wearing masks while one of them was coughing often. I wouldn't be very happy to be in a building like this at anytime but right now it looks like a disaster waiting to happen.

It was incredibly dirty, unwelcoming and I talked to the owner who said, "well, you can come back tomorrow but i ain't printing anything for you today" I just wanted proof I dropped it off. I even took a video because I didn't trust he'd log it correctly.

The location I had picked up 5'x9' w/ ramp was fine. The people there were helpful, polite, and professional with expectations and cost for the rental. However, I made the rental through another location and the main traffic office, which ended up making the location I picked the trailer up look bad because it was suppose to be a two day rental, which was fair, correct and expected. It was put in the system as a 1 day rental. That location loses out a days rental. The U-haul system of rental and how they distribute(Traffic) trailers to locations and availability of certain trailers needs to really improve. It seems it's not efficient and convenient for customers by allowing any location to make reservation deals. This creates problems for other locations and customers. My suggestion would be to have two of each(trucks,trailers etc.)at a location and have one of each for local return at same location only. The other one for oneway drop off at nearest location. Then it's better for the customer who can plan better and not chase all over for a certain trailer.

There was no communication between the Milw headquarters and the local rental location regarding my no cost upgrade. Locals told me they had to charge the rate on the computer and I had to call Milw office to verify rate. Then the locals added “safe move” $14 to invoice that I didn't order and was unaware of. Good news: Final charges were what I had expected when booking truck.

My exit experience was difficult. Trying to do the after hours check out online, the website would not let me continue wthout havong an account. I contacted u-haul by phone and was able to find out how to complete the exit process using my invoice number. I spent 45 minutes in the parking lot trying to get my vehicle checked in.

This location was quick and convenient. The staff, although a bit standoff-ish, were helpful and accommodating. Seemed to have a good selection of trucks and trailers. Will use them again.

Gas tank should be filled/full prior to rental, NOT a quarter tank. Do not change pick up point from 3 blocks away to 5 miles away, esp. when rental contract was in place for over a month, and no one "able" to relocate the vehicle to preferred location.

We were told not to register online by one of the employees or owners, and the parking sucks! These guys suck, no customer service!

The store/office was disgusting. The worker, Dave was smoking inside, I could hardly breathe. It was so dirty, dirt and grim everywhere. Probably had not been cleaned since the 70's. He also lectured me about renting the U-Haul trailer online, which I thought was odd. He was very rude about it. I like U-Haul, but would never rent from this location again or recommend it. The equipment was functional and we had no issues with that.

I did the online check in early but the “picking up the truck” was confusing. I didn't realize that was a link I had to hit and fill out before being able to get the truck. Thank God Dave the owner was there to help us get the truck and keys. Otherwise I didn't know what else to do to be able to drive the truck away. A suggestion, make the link more noticeable and show how you have to click on it to be able to get the truck keys.

I was sent a confirmation for a different location, went there, and was told to go to Dave's- INCONVENIENT. Then, at Dave's I was charged for the insurance which I had declined online while making my reservation. I was not asked about this, it was just tacked onto my bill.

The shop was smoky and very cluttered. The parking of the trailer was pretty difficult to get in and out of, especially since they demanded you park in the exact same spot when the item was returned. They should consider spacing out items or storing less.

I recommend the selection of equipment at this location but the lot at this location is far to small for everything that they have and makes it difficult to get what you need out and returned after hours.

The only reason I give this rating is for the return. There is no good way to return a truck. It is a closed entrance with no turn around.

The older gentleman was kind and helpful. The other guy not so friendly. Throwing the F word around telling us where we were suppose to replace the trailer. "Not f*** over there and not f*** over there. F*** right here." Not very professional.

Terrible customer service. Took an hour to get checked in and we were the only people there. Ordered furniture blankets and they didn't have any. Our truck was missing the ramp, which made for a much harder move. No discount was offered or granted because of that. Horrible location. Unfriendly slow sketchy owners. Glad I had my brother with me or I would have felt very uncomfortable.
