Truck was dirty in the cab. Drips on the door and grime. No way it was well cleaned between rentals.

STEVEN MARK JONESThe truck was clean but it was pretty beat, even for a “local only” truck. Mechanically the truck was lacking with an exhaust leak, rough running engine and transmission issues. With 150,000+ miles someone should evaluate this one for retirement.

Mark RileyHave a procedure in place to ensure rental truck keys are properly placed in their respective lock boxes. After completing my rental pick-up on my cell phone, it directed me to lockbox #1 to retrieve the rental truck key. When I opened the lockbox, it was empty (no key). Fortunately, the store was open and after a few minutes, they were able to provide me with the truck key which apparently was forgotten to be placed in the lockbox. Had this been after normal store hours, I would not have been able to get my rental truck.

Tim PellatonThe rental process was good but the truck hadn't been inspected before it was rented out. We got home and loaded the truck and there was a very strong fuel smell. There was a screw in the gas tank and the gas leaked out all over the driveway of our new home. We had to wait more than an hour for a repair tech who was able to temporarily fix the leak so we could complete the move. We were delayed more than 2 hours on a very hot day. The store didn't charge us for gas but they still charged the full rental amount and gave no discount for our troubles. This is pretty awful customer service and we won't be using you or referring to others again.

shane bradyThis UHaul location was excellent. However, the location where we first made a reservation, at 447 W. Broadway Mesa AZ, was terrible customer service. Told us that we would have to go 50 miles away to pick up our truck because there were no others available. Clearly, we were able to get one at Dave’s’ Ace Hardware in Mesa.

darryl vaischthe truck was dirty on the inside and stunk of cigarettes pretty bad. if you are a non-smoker, like me, it is a repulsive smell. when I rented the truck, I was asked to estimate mileage and I said about 10 miles. the storage facility was exactly 1.3 miles from my home and I did two trips. it's not the money, it is only a few bucks, but charging me for exactly 10 miles, when I probably used it for 5 maybe 6 at most, it is dishonest. I returned the truck last night about 5pm, then I get a call this morning asking me to return the keys because they can't find them. when I returned the truck last night, the guy at the desk took the keys. when I asked for a receipt, he told it was going to be emailed and he walked away. it was disorganized.

brian hollisterI got charged $7 for a dolly I didn't use. And had to rent a larger truck and pay more since the one I reserved was rented to some one else. A but disappointed on a day that wasn't easy to start with. I know I have a choice and I won’t be choosing this again.

Kathy Eddy1. Front window filthy / hard to see when driving into sun… 2. Drove ONLY 29 kms / I put $6.00 fuel in vehicle before return (one block from return location) / then they added an additional $8.62 to my invoice for “more fuel” ??? I have the same truck at home & there is NO WAY that it takes almost $15.00 to drive ONLY 29 kms !!! The system of “guessing” at the fuel is awful / what a ripoff…. You should rent it as FULL / return as FULL !!! 3. Invoice was not forwarded to me…. I had to make several phone calls to determine how to get it, but once I got thru to U-Haul, it was sent right away…
James BakerI was profoundly frustrated with the condition of the right mirror!! In fact it was very dangerous - it was very loo and would not remain in place so my right side vision was always impaired by the instability of the mirror even after I tried to tape in place for proper view down the right side. I barely avoided a collision with 4 vehicles that I’m aware of!!!’ I was on a tight time schedule for moving things and couldn’t figure out how to exchange vehicles for one that was SAFE! When I returned the truck I requested some kind of compensatory reimbursement for the danger and anxiety that I experienced. The gentleman said they only rented uhaul equipment and he couldn’t help me. SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH PICTURE!!! If this is going to Uhaul headquarters in Phoenix, I need to receive a response to this concern and a discussion of some kind of compensation for my “pain and suffering” while driving this defective truck in Phoenix traffic. Dean DennisonAlthough the rental was easy and convenient, The inside of truck was not clean and smelled really bad of cigarette smoke. So bad, it burned my eyes when I used air conditioner.

Leslie StumpffThe pickup that I got was very dirty the dash and windshield were very bad I had to wash the inside of the windshield at the first gas stop also the seat was dirty but I used it to do work so it didn’t really bother me except for the windows

David HettingerThe tires on the trailer I received need to be replaced. Trailer was clean but needs new tires. I believe the tires are around 10-12 years old. That is very dangerous

gary pokresIssues with pickup, wanted early morning pickup before 6:00am, Said they would put the key in a lock box but did not. Store crew arrived at 6:30 and did get me out the door in 15 minutes, but had someone I paid to assist waiting, and I was late meeting them. Store crew was very helpful! Vehicle is on it's last leg and should be retired. rough drive, acceleration is poor and burns oil. Oil pressure maxed out when entering the freeway.
