This was not my original drop off location. My original drop off location the lady said she didn't have space and told me to take it to the next location. When I arrived at this location, I explained the situation and they just told me to drop it and go. I told them I wanted a receipt for proof of drop and do that I wouldn't be charged since a lazy uhaul employee at the first location wouldn't accept my reservation. they said I would get one via email so I said I would wait. Because it wasn't the original drop location I had to call Uhaul about changing the drop place, Uhaul Chat instructed me to call the local service number. When I did it would just ring then hang up. When I called Uhaul customer service I was on hold for 30 minutes waiting in a dumpy building. Finally the guy behind the counter was able to adjust my reservation and I got the email receipt. Customer service never answered. The guy behind the counter also said the lady at the original May have decided against taking my reservation because the type of trailer I rented doesn't provide much profit for them. I returned my U-Haul 4 days before my deadline and the trailer was not returned until almost 2 weeks after I actually returned it. This rental was done using my government issued work credit card and that card was frozen for that entire time because the U-Haul was not returned and I was being penalized by my work for it. I called the location multiple times and they would simply tell me â€œwe will return the equipment when we get to it buddyâ€ and still didn't so I called customer service and they just called the location and gave me the same answer. It wasn't until my third call to customer service asking for a manager when the equipment was actually returned.SHANEPHILLIP C.

Person in the office did not explain return or seem to care about customer service. When I picked up trailer I had to go back to office and get help because person in the office was to lazy to care. I will go somewhere else for my next rental needPatrick C.
The trailer was in a ditch and I had to pull it out with a chain. No customer service. I hooked it up and I checked the lightsâ€¦ no help from inside until I asked. The guy checking out the equipment used his phone and stayed seated in. A chair like it was to much effort to get up . When I asked about the brake lights working he pointed at a guy about 100 yards away and said he will help you. Never was offered a paper receipt or paper contract. Called asking about renting a tow dolly, was told none available, only a flatbed. Arrived to find 3 tow dollys onsite. Loaded one up myself, gave description of vehicle to be towed and requested dropoff location in Tallahassee. Drove back and found my vehicle would not fit on the tow dolly provided. Returned to rental location and measured another one and found it 6" wider than the one I was given. Changed out myself and was on my way. When I tried to drop off went to three different locations and was told each time I couldn't drop there. Online system said dropoff location was in Pensacola. Had to call customer service to find out where I could take it, but by this time it was after closing time and left the trailer in the yard. Online return did not work either. Very poor experience and will likely not rent from uhaul again.Brian C.
I connected my hooked my trailer up myself without any assistance. I arrived and introduced myself and was told by a unknown guy that he would take care of me through his cell phone , after about 15 min he called me out side and pointed at a trailer and said â€œ that's yours have a good dayâ€ I asked for the dolly and he said we don't have any but another guy went I garage and just gave me one. I drove away without lights connected hoping no one rear ended me got used piece to connect lights from an RV store service tech. Very poor service will not be using Dave's ever againCurtis T.

The man renting out your UHaul is uninterested and unbothered with customers. He does not keep up with supply he has on hand, eats/plays on his phone while customers are waiting to complete their order, has zero sense of urgency in getting the order completed, and is too lazy to even check if the keys are in the truck. The UHauls themself served their purpose, but I would never get another truck from this locationBradley L.

I rented the truck for one day a Saturday. I was told by your employe that because the shop is closed on Sunday we didnt need to bring the truck back until Monday morning to which I did and I STILL got charged for two days.stephanie K.
Make sure of what trucks you have and where there parked be more curtesy to your customers make sure the right fuel level is marked they marked half a tank but fuel level was at 3/8 of a tankJOSHUA M.

Guys in office would not help with trailer hook up when equipment was picked up. They sent me outside to look for a guy who was supposed to be out by the trailers but was not. Turns out he was inside on a break. When equipment was returned, there was dump truck and RV blocking area they wanted trailer parked. Provided no assistance with return. Again they did not come out of office or provide help to back into designated area. Would not recommend, poor customer service.Frank S.

The two guys renting the trailers hardly lifted a finger to help. I had to hook up the 6 x 12 trailer by myself. I'm 69 yo. Then I had to find a pigtail myself. The guys said just go back out there and find one on one of the other trailers. Then wanted cash rather than a card. Funny math. Then wouldn't fill out a contract until I insisted on a receipt. The rate changed 3 times. VERY SHADY!david R.
The representatives at the Dave Howell Tires location where no where near as bad as the the ones at the Aurora locations but they were not good either. They were neutral friendly (ie. not very but not unfriendly either) and they did not have any sort of warm and inviting demeanor. I am not upset with them or my experience there but I definitely would not recommend them to anyone.Michael C.
they need to offer more information about the renting of the truck.like dont asume that i know to fill the truck up when i bring it back.the truck was on three quarters of a tank when i got it.i thought who used it before me had to fill it up.i put 31.00 dollars to fill it.it cost me 75.00 to rent the truck.but thats part of it.dont get me wrong im not complaining.just thought to give you an idea obout it.william R.

I wasn't happy about the $21.00 "After" hours drop-off fee. I paid for an extra day of service, brought it back early and then got this fee. I have used U-haul several times over the years and never seen this. What is the point in the after hours drop-off box? I would honestly like my $21.00 refunded.Jason C.

I called Customer Service and reserved a U-Haul Truck at a certain location. I was told that the truck was available at that location. Went to pick up truck and it was not there. I had a limited amount of time. Then was sent to a far away location. I ordered blankets, which were not available at that location. Then had to go to another location. Will never have use U-Haul again. We also filed the tank up to where it was before dropping off and then got charged a 17.17 refueling fee. This was a scam. U-haul is a horrible company. Also, personnel are not well trained. Never again.Michael P.

I ordered 10 of the moving mats and the guy who signed me out said he had none. I was breaking down a sunroom and transporting it 60 miles with no protection. I was pretty concerned leaving for the job. So you'll understand my frustration when we arrived home I had 1 big window, 1 of the smaller windows and a skylight shattered. I believe having the order correct would of drastically reduced potential damage. My experience not great and prolly out atleast 400$. I did think I ordered an accidental protection??Alex T.

Site was open but rep was not there. One of Dave's employees was helpful though. Check in process was difficult. Order not associated with account. Not intuitive with dropping off at different location. Constant answer questions take picture answer questions take another picture. Emailed receipt took over a week to get and when I received the receipt it was a $0 receipt. This was a business expense and I needed a dollar amount I paid on the receipt for expense purposes. I called and emailed but had no luck getting the receipt I needed.Daniel W.

Not all people have the luxury to check in via phone or can return during business hours. This rental from the start was a BIG HEADACHE. I had to call numerous times to get this rental and to check it in like I told at least five customer service representatives I will not use U-haul in July when I move. Thank heavens for David Howell's tires for assisting me w check in because my the fifth call I was upset.Donna C.

Poor service, poor attitude and overcharged. Had done some research before renting a unit in Pensacola and purposely avoided this place because of bad ratings. Was discouraging to arrive in town and learn my order had been switch to this place without me knowing. Equally discouraging to see all the negative rating were true.Dan D.

I will not go back to Dave Howell Tires to rent any Uhaul. I had my contract, cue led in and still had to wait nearly 30 minutes because they did not have my information. They asked of I wanted the Insurance, and I said No, but they still charged me for Insurance. Too bad because they are close to my residence. I will be better off driving past them to rent at a different location.Timothy S.

I rented a trailer and everything was good until I tried returning it. The location never checked the unit back in so i received a email from Uhaul then when I worked through that, I was charged an extra $15.00 for cleaning. Not sure how they knew it was dirty when they didn't even know it was returned and for the record, it was cleaner than when I picked it up. Lesson Learned!Chris B.

Checked in the trailer a day early and asked for a receipt and they said I would get one via email. Two days later Uhaul sent me an email asking where their trailer was. Dave Howell Tire's had not completed the paperwork so no one knew it was on site until UHaul called and so did I. They then checked it in and all was good. I read in line in their reviews that this had happened with them before. Just do your job and enter the info in the computer.Doug B.

I dropped off this vehicle and another one and a tow dolly on 2/13 at 2:45 Pm and I went in and gave the keys to the person at the counter. Asked if they needed to check vehicles for all equipment and supplies I used and they said they would take care of it. After prompting they took my name and number if any questions. The receipt shows it was returned at 745 and actually was 2:45 pm. The larger of the 2 vehicles and tow dolly are still not showing returned more than 2 days later.william O.
