Both times I tried to use this location I had to get equipment at another location. However, when I arrived they had numerous vehicles and trailers on site. The previous times the lot had only 1-2 .

Uhaul itself was great but these small business auto shops that rent them out are always messing something uo and usually not the friendliest. This last experience I received a truck that had a headlight out, it pulled to to the right when driving amd the man told me its good I'm taking it to a bigger location so it can get serviced. On top of that the paperwork stated it was a full tank. When I got I. It was 1/2 tank. He said he would change it but never did in the system. Luckily the uhaul drop-off (actual uhaul business) trusted me and took off the charges I would've had to pay. Great job uhaul however they could choose better on what small businesses they let represent them.

U-haul gives you two 24hour days with rental. I did not need the trailer until Sunday night, but this location closed at noon on Saturday. Because of this, I had to pay for two extra days rental and two extra days insurance. I dropped the trailer off on 4pmTuesday Afternoon. Had I been able to pick up on Sunday at 5pm, I would not have incurred any of these extra charges. I think U-haul needs to have a way to adjust their pricing for these situations.

We did a mobile check in and went to this location and checked in with the link Uhaul sent us. It then told us that we could not drop off there. We contacted customer service and spoke with Nathan who helped us get the link corrected allowing us to drop the vehicle off. The only bad thing was it took us about an hour to complete the drop off process. Original call to customer service was over a 2 hour wait to speak to someone. We went online and used online chat and they were able to get us connected to Nathan in about 5 minutes. Thank you online chat and Nathan.

We had to drive to Oscoda instead of tawas. We had ordered blankets, utility dolly and furniture dolly. None was in the truck. Thing is owner owns both pick up locations and could have brought truck to tawas, but chose not to and caused us guite an inconvenience. No more renting from him for sure

Scheduled a trailer for a Friday for a move out of state. When I arrived the trailer was in another state and not available for 2 days. The closest trailer was 2 1/2 hours away in the opposite direction I was traveling and they expected me to pick it up. I had to settle for a smaller trailer which did allow for me to move all the items I had hope to. I discovered after I left that 1 brake light and turn signal didn't work.....frustrating expensive!

Needs to be a better way to change a reservation. The location I got trailer from did not have record of my reservation. I had to show him my reservation, then he didnt want to give me the dolly. Chat person was not helpful told me to call, what's the point of chat if they can't help customers.

Obviously truck/trailer rental is not the primary business, so expectations should be adjusted. The staff was very attentive and helpful, and the process of retuning the trailer was quick and easy.

The inside of the windshield was dirty from a spilled drink on the passenger side from a previous rental. After loading the truck in Oscoda, and on my way for a 532 mile trip to the Indianapolis area, I tried the radio but it work. I looked over and no antenna. A noisy engine all way. The worst rental vehicle I've ever had!

Tried to go through your online return. Talk about a futile effort. Spent 1-1/2 hours just to return the truck. Ended up put the key with a note in the drop box. Never did get the system to work properly. Never will use the online again. My advice is get it fixed or stop offering it at all. This has nothing to do with personnel at Darrels Maxi Muffler, it was all UHAUL's online system.Very poor customer service.

A rental reservation made online w/ phone or computer apparently is not transmitted the the pickup location. My daughter on September 2nd made truck rental scheduled for September 7 at 11:00AM. at Darrell's. The reservation seemed all set, I live in the area and seeing a truck staged on Friday did not stop in to check. Darrell planned to be closed from September 4-8th. The truck I assumed as ready. Was just parked in front and was not ready or available, even though there were 6 trucks at that location. He says the first notification he has of a rental is when the customer comes to the door. Darrell is a local person and business, I don't think he would lie about this lack of notice of an upcoming rental. This is unacceptable in this age of technology. Thanks Edward
