I couldn't find the drop box for the key so I asked the cashier where to drop it off and he said to just leave it with him; I didn't feel very confident about that. He also wasn't wearing a mask.EMILY S.

The person who rented the uhaul before us did not return the keys, so we had to wait over and hour past our pickup time to receive our uhaul. It delayed our entire timeline for moving to another state. I'm extremely dissatisfied.Samantha W.

Overcharged. When I got in the truck speedometer read 85683 not 85682. I drove 26 miles and put slightly over 3 gallons in the truck an 1/8 mile from u-haul. I was charged for 2 more gallons. I was told the truck gets about 10 miles/ gal. Where did the other 24 miles come from? I expect to receive a credit for $ 7.99 on my AmEx or I will put it in dispute. It doesn't sound like much but if you did that to all your customers, you would rake in millions a year, don't you agree?Stewart S.
I should have looked at the gas before I left. It said that I had 3/8 of tank on the paperwork, but I only had less than 1/8 of tank left. Which was left than 50 miles. So as soon as I left, I had to fill up.Virgil M.

The attendant checked The trailer's lights and I later found out that the right turn signal on The trailer did not work. One of the tires was also low on air which made the trailer wobbly and unstable, this also affected fuel consumption.Ray J.

I rented a truck to be picked up â€œbetween noon and one o'clockâ€. I arrived at 12:15 to be told my truck had been rented to some one else because they showed me as a no show based upon having scheduled my pickup at 1:00 AM!!! Then, I settled for a trailer. It took an hour to do paperwork because their computer was on the blink. Finally, I ordered pads and was charged. Yet, they did NOT put the pads in the trailer. After all of this, they charged me to buy an adapter for my trailer lights as I did not bring my adapter since I expected to pick up A TRUCK!Robert W.

Their bill was incorrect/fabricated... It stated I should bring the truck back with 7/8 of a tank of gas. When I received the truck it had less, as it read just slightly more than 3/4 of a tank. When I returned the truck, I had just filled the tank to a level just a hair more than 3/4 of a tank (At a VERY similar level to which I had received it). They had the audacity to charge me for 3.5 gallons of gas at $3.25/gallon. First of all, I shouldn't have been charged anything for a so called "EZ Fuel Sales" !!! On top of that, what gave them the right to charge me that much per gallon? Yes, I know what the contract stated but that was in no way representative of the prevailing price in our Woodstock area which is now LESS THAN $1.70/gallon... I am furious... I live in The Woodlands subdivision nearly adjacent to the Ace Hardware where I rented the truck from. Trust me, I'm going to get the word out to the neighborhood to never rent U-Hauls from this store as they are nothing more than a bunch of con artists! No complaints about the location, it was a great transaction . However I wasn't satisfied with uhaul selecting a reservation so far away, especially since you have to pay for mileage. It was an additional 18 miles, roundtrip, that I had to drive in the opposite direction to p/u and drop off. I made this reservation with plenty of time in advance, there should be more of an effort to locate a truck closer to my address.Leticia C.

1. The truck I reserved was not available. 2. The 10' truck that I was given has a non-operable seat belt on the passenger side. 3. The side mirror on the passenger side does not stay in position. 4. Although I made the 10' truck work with a 5' trailer, the overall experience could have been better.Everett R.

I have called in advance for a truck. Dan picked up the phone and was pleasant. He then located a truck for me. I told him I will be there in 15 minutes. When I arrived at the property I saw a sign with Ace's Hardware at the front of the store with no U haul sign. I taught I might be at the wrong place. I walked into the store. I was greeted by a tall, big white guy, kind of rude and unfriendly. I asked if, this is U haul and he answered rudely. I told him, I have called and spoken to Dan. I am here to pick up a truck. That gentleman told me to wait here and went to help other people. i waited approximately 10-15 minutes before someone talked to me. I even tried to make conversation and they weren't nice. I was polite and said thank you when I pick up a truck and he did not even acknowledge. The inside truck was dirty with derbies and I brought back clean truck . They usually come outside and check everything before handed truck to you but it was the other way. Did not even tell me which truck was or located. When I asked which one, Dan replied that's the only small truck there.Reza S.

The locations computer didn't work so that was my initial red flag. Then when I called to extend my rental a day the agent said I was good to go. Apparently that wasn't the case and I was flagged as a customer who didn't meet the rental obligations. Only after 30 mins on the phone did I get that sorted out. So yeah, uhaul is still the dumpster juice of the rental industry.ryan D.
