We had a big snow storm on Friday, I rented the truck on Saturday at noon. I was disappointed that there was no attempt to clear a path to the truck and that I had to walk through almost 2 feet of snow just to get to the driver door. The truck was covered in snow and there was no snow brush in the vehicle. I thought that should have been done before arriving to rent the vehicle, and not my responsibility to get it ready to drive. I had to spend an additional 20 minutes there just for it to be safe to drive. The actual cargo area had the blankets laying all over the place, I folded them and put them back where they belong as I was not using them. There were also screws and other debris laying in the area as well. It was pretty clear that it was not cleaned out after the last person drove it. I would never go back to this location as they made me feel like I was bothering them for getting a truck. Really considering never using U-HAUL again if they allow locations like this to rent out their trucks.

Attendant spoke broken English, very hard to understand. He was not well versed in the computer operation. Truck was not swept (cab and box). Check engine light on. Hours were convenient. Below average experience.

The gentleman taking in our truck spoke such poor English we couldn't understand him. We only drove the truck 11 miles. We told the man the check engine light came on before we went 1 mile down the road. We checked the oil and it was low so we had to put a can of oil in it to protect the engine at our own cost. They charged us $10 for gas and the needle never moved! Seriously 11 miles and charged us $10 after we took care of the oil to protect the truck!

the business at 2916 richmond street in appleton WI didn't really care about the uhaul pretty much like the person on Cedar street in Helena where i picked it up. still haven't heard from uhaul that the vehicle was retuned to the aforementioned address at the agreed upon time of 2pm Sept. 5 2023. as

They did not have my vehicle ready, even though it was reserved so I had to wait for almost 30 min. It was parked back by a very sketchy motel and that is also where it was returned, at night, with no lights.

They were always willing to help and share requested information about the rental. The experience went smoothly even though the 1st truck requested became unavailable; the second truck had a flat tire at time of pick up; a third truck larger in size was furnished with no extra charge. Outstanding!!!

I reserved a truck at the Green Bay location, which is in an accident and unable to be picked up there - had to travel to Appleton, adding an additional 37.2 miles each way to the cost I paid for the rental.

The gas station employee was very nice and the mobile check-in process was super easy. The truck bed was clean, but there were a bunch of loose furniture pads and an appliance dolly in the truck. I didn't order these with the truck since they cost extra, so I didn't use them and just left them in the truck.

The original drop off location that was supposed to be open, on Memorial Drive, was closed. I called the Bloomington location where we picked up the trailer and they recommended that we go to another U-Haul site in Appleton. She also indicated she would call traffic so that we would not be charged more money. the drop off we found was terrible. The person inside yelled and screamed at us, was condescending was terrible. It was actually rather concerning. We got in our vehicle and called Amy in Bloomington again and she got us in touch with U-Haul traffic in northern Wisconsin and they told us to take the trailer back to the original drop off and she would take care of everything.The Richmond location is terrible, not welcoming whatsoever, and frankly the person I think was very mad at us for leaving because he wanted to get the extra $300 we would've been charged for dropping at a different location. That part of the U-Haul experience was horrible. Everything else was great.

This is by far the worst Uhaul experience I have ever had. The truck was great, but the team at this location was terrible. After I completed my drop off and received verification that I had successfully completed my drop off, I received a call asking for my card number over the phone because they supposedly had not received payment. After a long, unpleasant conversation, they finally said they had received the payment in the first place. Clearly an attempted scam.

We did not order furniture pads but the back of the truck was loaded with unfolded furniture pads. I did not want to get charged the $25 for failure to fold them up, even though they were not ordered or used by me, I still had to fold them. Also, upon arrival, the clerk at the counter did not know what he was doing causing me to wait for one hour to get the keys as I was already checked in online. We will be taking our business to Penske as I feel the last two times I've gone through U-Haul I was ripped off and scammed.

This location should not be affiliated with U-Haul. Worst experience ever! Check engine light was on when I picked it up. Not a very pleasant experience when you don't know if the truck will make the over 100 mile trip,. I was charged for extra mileage, but all I did was drive the same route as last time (back in July), and I did not have extra mileage. I wonder if the starting mileage was not accurate! There was also a dent in the passenger rear of the truck that was not noted. Told I could pick up after 6:30 PM, but person did not show up until after 7:00 and with the CEL issue I did not get our of there until after 9:00 PM. There was also something wrong with the front end of the truck because whenever you turned it made a clunking noise. I was also given a 1-800 number to call if the truck breaks down.

The truck didn't run well. The check engine light was on. The gas gauge didn't work so it ran out of gas. We never got a notice on the amount we had to pay in the end for the truck.

Simply awful services and on-line scheduling. Had to go to multiple locations to pick-up the truck. I would likely not use U-Haul in the future as the on-line scheduling and the gas station pick-up site arrangements are whole fully disconnected from a scheduling and logistics perspective. My experience has negatively skewed my trust in the U-Haul brand.

Person at the desk was on their phone most of the time. At the time of pick up I was told multiple times that I was scheduled for the next day although I had the email confirmation stating my original pick up day. They managed to corr3ct everything on their end so I could pick it up on my correct date.

Very rude. Felt like I was bothering them. Sent me out with the key to the 15ft truck and said look for the # from the key. Had to ask where to find this # on the truck...this upset her. Inside of cab...dirty. Dropping off...told to park where it would not fit so I parked where it would fit and again...very rude and upset. I have rented over 20 hauls in the past few years...this BY FAR the worst customer service.

It would be a little more convenient if the reservation for equipment was under the name of the person that makes the reservation, not the person driving the truck. There was confusion at the pick up location because the rental was under the driver's name, so it took a few minutes to sort out that they did actually have our reservation and the truck we reserved. The truck was not cleaned after the last person that rented it. The floor in the back was filthy with dirt and debris, as well as the provided blankets. The gas tank was 3/8ths full, but on the rental agreement it said the tank was 1/2 full, didn't really appreciate that discrepancy.

I found out upon returning my equipment that several items should have been covered before leaving that location; not to mention, I was not given a printout of anything that stated requirements upon returning the truck. In her defense, she was the station alone and didn't communicate the best (in English).

Spent an hour trying to get key, chat with U-Haull didn't respond. Call to U-Haul was helpful, had me unlock 4 lock boxes, no key in any. Went inside DK and she handed me the key...note we stopped in DK when we arrived and told her we were renting a truck, she just nodded and didn't say anything about having key. Very frustrating to waste so much time and she knew we needed the key, didn't even check on us...we were in plain view, so she knew we didn't leave.

Your regional person (not the local location I am rating) called me to offer a free upgrade yo a 15' truck, but did not notify the local site, just told me to tell them. That resulted in 45 minutes of my waiting around while tgey figured it out. I coukd have taken the 10', but the guy who called me said he made the offer because he had other people needing a 10', so I didn't want to mess them up. The local owvners were very nice -- the woman offered me soda and coffee and a place to sit, and her husband came from home with their two kids to sort it out. We coukd have sorted it more quickly, but the guy who called to offer the deal wasn't answering his phone for a long time.

We were given a truck and filled it w gas only to discover the back was locked. No one had the padlock code. The young man didnt know anything about uhaul rentals. Then got another truck. Asked for credit on gas.it took atleast an hour and a half to 2 hours!!!

Location owners made me change my drop off location and return the uhaul. My original reservation was set to drop off in new home town. Instead I had to return the uhaul to the pickup location and pay for additional gas to return it on top of the inconvenience of losing an hour of my day returning the vehicle. Overall very unhappy with my experience.

Choose a new pick up location, DK Petroleum is in a bad neighborhood and the clerk is not friendly or helpful. I was actually scared to leave my car there due to the unsafe neighborhood and afraid to return there to pick it up after dark.

DK is under staffed. My service was constantly interrupted while the clerk waited on other customers. Things did not get worked out until we got the regional manager on the phone. In the end things were resolved well but DK did little to help.

the person helping at this gas station was having problems uploading D& her computer. I had to help her!., (while taking care of customers.) I was not sent the link for photos of the U-Haul until after we started moving. Stopped to take care of that & take photos of a dent that was already on Driver .side & scratches already on passenger time. Then, IT TIMED OUT. sent a message for another link, but,, NOTHING! Also could not sign paper on line for No accident or/incident -which we did not have either.

The service we received at this location was good, but the overall experience was lacking. We reserved a large truck weeks ahead of the move to a location close to our origination point and got a call a few days before the move to let us know there would not be a truck there for us and the solution offered was for us to pick one up in a totally unrelated location that would have added an hour of dive time before we could even begin loading. Unacceptable! Uhaul needs to improve the reliability of their reservation system.
