It's not exactly ‘clean' in the trunk when we pick up the truck. There are also stuff left in the seat belong to others (mask). However, when we return it we were charged 25 dollar cleaning fee, which should take less than 10 seconds to sweep. Won't recommend this place.

The representative that helped me (Dimitry), was nice when I got there. What he lacked was going over the agreement, terms, and walking around vehicle. He spent 3 minutes cleaning it with a quick vacuum and wipe down (don't know if they even disinfected it due to Covid). He said just return it clean and gas where it was if I didn't want to get charged. So of course I did. I had the vehicle for 1 1/2 hours, and put 14 miles on it. My goal was to move 1 piece of furniture. During the drive, I began itching behind my right calf. It was like I was getting bit by a mosquito. But I thought that couldn't happen in a car. By the way, I am terribly allergic to mosquitos. It got worse and by the time I returned the van, I had a huge welt and rash. Something was under the driver's seat. I had reported this to corporate that the van be checked out. Moving on, upon return of the vehicle, Dimitry's attitude completely changed. He firmly said "You Have To Return The Vehicle Clean" I said I did. I had a pocket size dust that he pointed to on the driver's side (dust from stepping on ground to car) and about the same amount of dust on the van bed. He advised me that he didn't even have to be that courteous to even tell me (as if he was doing me a favor). I said he was being ridiculous and asked how much to clean it? He said $25.00. I said forget it, I'll do it myself. So I went to a local gas station, and cleaned it better than when I received the truck. Also note, in all my times renting UHaul's, this has never happened. He continued to be rude and condescending towards me. Despite the rash that I still have 3 days later from the vehicle, the van drive fine. I will NEVER go there again!!.

the car was very dirty on the windows, had tire issue and the costumer service was very bad as the person who rented was very rude to me due to my return. I did not even check the mileage when I sat in the car and I returned the car with more gas that I the time I picked it up. my worst experience was the person who was in charge and rented the truck to me , he even said you can rent from other locations next time because I brought the car back and I asked if the back of the truck is Clean or not , there was a few little broken plastic in there and I could have just took it out there but he made me get out with the car in the street and do it, also he never provided parking to me even when I rented the car for 3-4 hours only and I had to pay for my parking. he also said the front is dirty and I said show me, he had nothing to say after when I walked to see if it was dirty or not. he literally shouted at me when I said my dude the car is clean. and I was in shock when he raised his voice. and he said to me I am not nice when I said im a Nice guy and always rent from Uhal and never check because I trust the company. so overall if he works on his costumer service to his next client , it would be good for your company because your name is involved. I wont go back to that location again or refer to my friends around here even though its the most convenient to my location. but I had to take my time to write this for you and im glad I did for your information. thank you for reading my review. I wont go on yelp to write this even though I wanted to but I let it go. he made me upset that day when I had a lot of stress to move quickly and made me get out clean that little part and come back. anyways I hope it helped. thanks again

Do not rent here. I posted a negative review on Yelp. The owner, Demitry, was extremely rude and attempted to cancel my online reservation after charging me in person! I am a regular renter of Uhaul vehicles for business purposes and having an owner threaten my business they way Demetry did was way over the line of acceptability. UHAUL should revoke his contact. Just look at how poorly his uhaul business review are on yelp.

I would recommend this location for anything else EXCEPT a u-haul. I've never experienced such terrible customer service in my life. My original drop off location was closed on Sunday (which no one ever told me) so I had to keep the van until the next morning but they denied me FROM THE PLACE I SCHEDULED TO RETURN MY VAN TO, and suggested I go to a different place. Then, I called the “other” place and they said I had to call the 1-800 number in order to authorize the location changed and I was on hold for 20 minutes. Luckily I was finally able to turn in my van (that I didn't even im want bc I ORDERED a 10” truck) after 2 hours of back and forth BS. I will NEVER use u-haul EVER again.

The vehicle was filthy and hadn't been cleaned. The guy was a little rude and didn't give me any paperwork. He didn't let me know that everything was done digitally until I returned the truck. It was not a good experience.

The windshield was broken. So the truck should not have been rented but there was no other choice. The local manager tried to bill me for an additional days rental even though I turned it in before 24 hours. I had to waste my time calling the national number twice, to get it sorted out :-(

The employee that checked me out didn't tell me about any charges he was putting on when I returned it, and I ended up overpaying for what I thought by $50. I think that's unacceptable, I'm not sure what warranted the extra $50 but would like an explanation.

Dimitri the owner of this local U-Haul franchise is one of the worst people I've ever dealt with in a business situation. He overcharged me for a cleaning that was nonexistent. He is rude and unprofessional. I've rented from him four times now And it gets worse every time. I will never Rent again from uhaul because of my experiences with this man. He should not be the front man for U haul

I was able to reserve a truck for 8 Am pick up but this was not possible at this location. Even though people were there, they did not let me take the truck until 830. I don't know why 8 am mobile pick up is an online option if that is not possible. The workers were also very rude when we dropped off the truck. He was on the phone and I didn't know and he was very sarcastic about it which was very unnecessary.

The service at this location was terrible. Dmitry is incredibly rude. I tried to discuss with him an overcharge issue and discrepancy between the mileage on my receipt and my before and after photos of the odometer and he told me in a very mean way that my problem wasn't worth his time and he had more important things to do (referring to his auto shop customers) basically telling me to leave. I had waited patiently while he helped his other customer and did not approach him in a rude way at all. That kind of treatment was hurtful.. Do not have a U-Haul rental operation at your repair shop if treating the customers well isn't worth your time. I'm very disappointed.

The good: I got a functioning van without much difficulty. The bad: the people were rude. The van had some maintenance issues and they overcharged me for gas cause I had to fill it up but it wasn't fully full when I got it. Not a great experience. Also no miles included.

The owner/manager was unaccommodating and rude. His customer service was awful. We called to say we were running a little late and he said "don't even bother coming if you can't be here by 5:30". We got there at 5:32 and some people outside said it was closed. We asked if any of them could help and one guy said he could and then said he was busy and couldn't. Having driven an hour to get there, I said I would pay him extra if he helped us, which he gladly did.

Culver Automotive took advantage of me with this current rental (07/13/20) After receiving a vehicle with only 3/4 of a tank and it being very dirty in the cab and box. The manager ( Dimitry Kamar ) didn't want to hear me dispute any of the extra coverages which was an extra $75. I have recently rented a vehicle from a Malibu location and it also had 3/4 of a tank. I left it with 3/4 of a tank when returning and wasn't charged for filling up the rest of the tank. You can go back and look at my rental history. This is a first I've ever been charged with overage fees , I've been a honest and respectful customer when renting U-haul vehicles. So this was a surprise upset to have happened.

I was thoroughly unimpressed with this van. Way more rickety than any other U-Haul truck I've driven. It was also very awkward to drive as between 70 and 75 mph the engine would surge.

Dimitry is great. Very personal, polite and efficient. One are I would recommend is to verbally notify client of the charges when you're renting a truck since he does not use paper which I appreciate being green. Also he should verbally notify the breakdown of charges when you return the vehicle again since he does not print anything out. Otherwise excellent!

Drop off at the original location (National Smog Check & Test Only 3573 Overland Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90034) was horrific. The store wasn't open so I had to go to this new location at 8651 Washington. I waited for 30 minutes and no one showed. Thankfully 8651 location was helpful. Drop off experience was terrible outside of the very nice folks at 8651 Washington.

I have experienced bad customer service by the clerk @ Culver Automotive (8651 Washington Bl Culver City, CA 90232). The person who attended me, the owner of a mechanic shop, gave me poor customer service and made me feel like I was bothering him. He was short, not attentive. Example: he didn't say hello when I walked into the office. Instead, he just said ‘License and Credit Card'. He gave me a hard time and yelled at me when he saw that the the gas meter needle was not in the same place as when I took the truck. To be completely honest, the needle was pointing at half of the tank, leaning half a millimeter to the right, when I took the truck. When I returned it back, it was still pointing half of the tank, not bellow it. That is when he gave me a hard time and yelled at me. So he could have a point, but he lost it with his manners. Instead of him politely pointing out that the gas needle wasn't in place, he automatically acused me in a yelling manner that I didn't put gas in it. I wonder if his behavior was also racist, because in the argument he yelled at me saying that I should follow the law, which was completely out of context. Also, he was nicely talking to a white lady right before I got there, and he wasn't giving her short answers, just like he did to me before the Gas Tank situation happened. Unfortunately, he wasn't wearing a mask when he was yelling at me either. The sum of these little situations made me feel bad, and I rapidly abandoned the area when he started his behavior, as I don't like arguing and being yelled in the street.

Guy who works at this place has no customer service skills, so illmanerred. He charged $15 extra for cleaning charges at the time of return. when i showed him truck is clean only few shoe dust mark near gas and brake pedal which is normal, he said no its not clean. I told him i am gonna complaint about it because its not fair he said go and complaint where ever you want to and went back in his office. so rude. i rent u-haul 4-5 times before and never had that kind of experience. I will not recommend anybody to use u-haul specially this location. Budget rental is much cheaper and their customer service is better too. Also i am gonna share my experience at all social media forums like yelp, next door neighbors etc. so all culver city resident should know. Its not a matter of $15. its a matter how he treat people

There was a gentleman who helped me a check in he was really nice very informative. I have never rented a U-Haul vehicle before so I had a lot of questions that he was able to give me great recommendations and wasn't in a rush to help the next customer.

When I dropped my truck off after hours the keys got locked inside the truck. My fault, yes, clearly the last thing someone wants to happen. When I woke up I got a call at 7:30am being yelled at by whoever works at this location asking “what is wrong with you, man” yelling at me for doing so, which again I understand is my fault, but instead of talking to me and trying to solve the problem he continued to yell at me telling me he is going to charge my card repeadtley for making his day harder. Before he explained to me the process of how my card is charged he abrubtley hung up on me. Judging by every review I wish I read before I chose this location whoever this person is and everyone that works at this location sucks at customer service and I would never recommend anyone go to this place.

The worst customer service from Dimitry at this location. His staff did not give me any instructions on how to return the vehicle and I was hurried out the door. The next morning I awoke bright and early to him yelling profanity at me on the phone calling me a "fucking asshole" for leaving the key in the dropbox by his front door. (Yes, there are two drop boxes there and no, for some odd reason he did not think to check there for the key - I have pictures). Regardless who was at fault (him) for him not being able to find the key, it is ridiculous that he thought he could talk to a customer that way. He screamed cuss words at me, insulted me, and then hung up on me. When I called back to tell him that was very rude, he screamed some more and then proceeded to text me threatening messages the rest of the day from his personal cell phone to mine. NOT COOL. I have pictures and receipts of all of this. I am beyond pissed about this and will for sure be recommending everyone I know to STAY AWAY.

Never told I needed to sweep inside of truck for footprints or dust from walking in street. There is a vague reference to this with no info about charges. I feel I was blindsided with a $25 cleaning fee for walking! Owner Dimitry was rude when I asked about it-would only day it's in the contract. It's a LOOPHOLE to tack on fees. I moved a dresser, a rug and 2 mattresses There was nothing dirty that was moved. The transmission felt sluggish and oil light kept coming on

Don't waste people's time, have the appropriate amount of staff to help customers and properly functioning equipment to help customers avoid wasting time. Also, they should provide at one of the proper towing that there recommend online per location because there will come a time when a customer will come in and need it.

I should have been told that the return required a lot of time on my part! It took me 25 minutes to download the App. Then when I got to location, I had to take pictures, record everything...etc.This took another 20 minutes. I was not told ANY OF THIS ahead of time. I have always had a person go over the check out and in with me. At least I should have been given some instructions.Its good I am a little tech savvy. I would recommend this location, with that caveat .

Everything was ok but the agent charged me for a cost that i declined and i don't like that. I declined the insurance because my insurance covered a uhaul and he charged me anyway without asking me. That is not good business practice. Very disapointed!!! Boooo

I initially reserved a truck for 6am for 10 hours, but I had to pick it up the day before because they were closed at 6am... why would the website offer at 6am pickup then?? When I got there, I was offered a 10 ft truck when I ordered a 15 ft... and was told to bring it back by 2:30pm otherwise I would get charged for another day.. which was not a full 10 hours. (6am-4pm) Although I picked up the truck the night before, it sat on the street because I literally could not move until 6am the next day. They were not understanding and extremely unhelpful. Terrible experience. The actual Uhaul was good but I would not recommend going to this location.

To whom it may concern: I am contacting you to inform you that the service charged for my rental is incorrect. I picked up and dropped off the truck at Culver Automotive located at 8651 Washington Blvd in Culver City, CA. The man responsible for renting out the vehicle there was very aggressive with me about the gas. He yelled at me repeatedly that the tank was not back to where it was supposed to be when in fact it was. Attached is a picture of proof of this. I was aggravated and attacked by him personally and I think this is extremely unacceptable. I will never tolerate this type of attitude towards anyone. I hope that I can receive full refund for this service. If you cannot help me with this, I would like to speak to a higher supervisor about this. No other costumer in the future should have to deal with the type of service this man provided. Best, Carina Mireles

I was very upset when I left the store because the person checking me in would not take the time to listen to what I was trying to tell him about the condition of the vehicle when I picked it up in SLC.

First of all, when I got to the location the attendant told me I have to move my car to the street parking. It says clearly that it's a 2 hour parking but he insisted that I could get parking for 4 hours. The machine was not allowing me to put more than 2 hours and he made me confirm for 2 hours saying that I would be able to increase the time after confirming, which didn't happened, of course. Then he asked to move the car to another parking and the same thing happened. At this point I decided to figure it out but myself and drove until I found the right parking spot. With all that I got the truck 20 minutes after my arrival and the truck's engine was in the whole time, consuming gas. When I finally got the truck I took a picture of the gas meter to make sure I was going to deliver the truck with the gas meter in the same position, which I DID and they still charged me almost $8 bucks for gas. I tried to argue with the attendant but It didn't work. Also, I was charged for an insurance that I had denied during my online application. I don't recommend this place to anybody and I'm very disappointed with uhaul. I feel like being robbed. Never gonna use this company again.

The owner tried to talk me out of renting from his location because I needed the truck for the entire day. He called several times when I wasn't there at 8 am on the dot, and he charged me for gas despite my having a receipt for the gas and refilling it to the exact spot I took it out at. Everything about dealing with the manager was unpleasant, and looking on yelp the location seems to have two and a half stars, so I am apparently not alone in this opinion.

This was the worst customer service I've ever had! I've used U-Haul many times and never had this experience. I've been at one Location and had to go to another to get my truck which added an hour to my move day and still the service was great. The man at this location was rude from the moment I called. I called to let him know I was coming from Palmdale and there was traffic so I would be able to Pick up at 10:20, not 10 am. He said we have a 30 minute grace period then he would give the truck away. I said not a problem, gps says 10:20. When I arrived at 10:24 he said he gave the truck away and another was on the way, “go eat lunch or something.” I asked him if he had spoke to the people who were bringing the truck because we had friends helping and needed to be there. He became upset and said “yes, but who knows.” At this point I started calling U-Haul to see what my options were. A truck pulled in about 10 minutes later & we asked if that was our truck. Again he was agitated and said no it's not. As I waited on hold, he said he would accommodate us, but it's our fault we were late. I asked him why he was being so rude? Based on the conversation we had while I was driving here at 9 am he said we had a 30 minute grace period? he said we could leave and forget about our truck! I said absolutely not, we have movers and things to move. I asked for his name and asked if he worked for U-Haul. He said he did not. It was clear he didn't because he was willing to loose our business. I waited on hold with U-Haul during this whole incident, which is upsetting. I finally got threw to somebody who transferred me and then I had to end the call because I was driving. This man did not represent your company, or care to keep your business. He had me and my husband extremely flustered and bewildered! It honestly felt like he could care less about being a vendor for U-Haul trucks. I am very disappointed with this experience.

I was charged for 49 miles, but I've only driven at most 25, as I was moving my stuffs and it's only 9 miles one-way. I have Google Map record that confirms that. The person asked me how many miles I used and I said 25, and he said nothing and never told me the miles he put in the system until I found out much later. I will rent with other companies to avoid the bogus mileage count and inflated charges.

This was the 2nd location we were sent to for truck returns. There was no room to pull in either the truck or our personal car. We finally get the truck dropped off (after calling U-Haul and being on hold 20 minutes EACH TIME) to find a bill. You are charging us for an extra mile? After we were inconvenienced by having to go to multiple locations to return the truck. Not smart.

Kamal the sells rep rude ncharges my account after i told him i wanna pay cash. He also charged me a equipment/ dolley fee of$7 when i did have or use a dolley in my vehicle. He filled out my app on hos computer never gave me a price quote or did he offer or allow me to use my own full coverage insurance which was an additional charge of $10. He also follwes me outside and threatened me. Who does that? Who trained this guy? Unprofessional he's lucky i dont call the better business Bureau.

Called U-Haul and they said this location closed and a no drop off location even though I was informed to return to 8651 Washington Blvd. all U-Haul and they said drop inside door slot. Witnessed another U-Haul customer with same problem. Fling the same thing. They were as frustrated as I was. U-Haul rep online noted I dropped the key in the door slot. I realize any liabilities concerning this rental. Finished drop off thru U-Haul app as well.

Dimitry Kamar was very rude and unprofessional. I have never complained about customer service in my life, I'm just not the type. But I can not let this go unnoticed. This man called me 15 minutes before my scheduled pick up time to ask if I still wanted the truck. I said yes and that I would be there on time. I arrived exactly at the time I scheduled and he told me he gave away my truck because he didn't believe me on the phone that I was gonna be on time. He then said another truck would be there if I waited 30 minutes. So I agreed. I had to wait there for an hour and a half. This man was rude the entire time and acted as if I was lucky we was willing to let me rent a truck and I shouldn't mind waiting and hour and a half. He kept talking about how busy u-haul is on the weekend and that I should be thanking him. Totally unprofessional, I'll be doing my truck renting elsewhere from now on.

Manager was deliberately deceptive by adding a $25 cleaning fee when he could have mentioned he's charging the customer and why so the customer could be aware of the charges he made it seem like a regular equipment fee there was nothing visible to clean I checked the vehicle to make sure nothing was left behind and it was clean as well as empty also it was unusual that my estimated charges turned out to be my exact charges plus a $25 cleaning fee I didn't confirm the mileage but it seems as if everything was crooked I rented the same Van for 11 days prior to renting the same Van for 3 days and did not drive 33% of the distance and the cost was half the price of the 11days and 60% more in mileage I would like someone to look into this matter and I know I was over charged not only would I not return to that office I will not rent from uhaul again cause they have agents who operate outside of uhaul rules and regulations I was under the assumption that all uhaul agents were the same but in the future I will be renting from either Budget or Penske look at my contract from Crenshaw/Adams 11days prior they look like 2 different companies and your competitors don't do that
