This entire booking process, with U-Haul was Jacked up. When you make your reservation and you put your credit card in to reserve a vehicle it should be a done deal. Regardless if you pick the vehicle up or not,and you should be charged for the rental. I needed a 15 foot truck, I called the location 1 mile from my home spoke to Lady everything was good I reserved the truck online like she told me to and everything should've been set. Two days prior to our reservation and get a car from U-Haul confirming my reservation, great all good right? No when she gives me the address this address is 25 miles from my home, What ! She goes into telling me that the location by my house does not have a 15 foot truck, strange because when I spoke to the lady at that location when I made the reservation it was available for the day I need it. Fine I'll drive out and pick it up from the location that has one however I asked her would they please comp me the mileage difference between locations, she said NO, so let's do the math 25 miles each way That's an additional $64.50 they're trying to charge me. I said I'm not going to drive out to that location and pay the extra mileage, I asked her what is a closer location to get a truck? her reply as we don't have a location within 100 miles of you that has a 15 foot truck. OK what about a 10 foot truck, no 10 foot trucks are available anywhere within 100 miles also. Fine cancel my reservation After I get off the phone I start looking online I did find another U-Haul location 5 miles for me I called I spoke to the gentleman they didn't have a 15 foot truck but they do have a 10 so fine we'll make do. As I'm speaking to him I book the reservation online and we are good at least I thought so. I arrive on the day of the pick up, I cannot find any correspondence telling me how to get into a drop lock box to get the key. After a while the guy that runs that location shows up and asked me are you the one that had a reservation for the truck? I reply yes I'm trying to figure out how to get the key. His first reply was oh you were supposed to be here an hour ago since you weren't here U Hall canceled your reservation! WoW. My reply was why would they cancel the reservation when I put my credit card in and I paid for in full it's a done deal, his reply was no it's not, since you came late we canceled it. Late, how could I of picked up the truck when I could not get into your lock box in the firs place ? Is the truck still available, he said let me see after going through a big ordeal thank God that the truck was available and I was able to rent it. I don't know how other companies do business but this is unprofessional and I think U-Haul needs to revise their whole booking procedure because this was a cluster mess and wont use them again.DAVID M.

First, not a lot of room for trailer parking, so to get this backed in was a little challenging, internet mention this location closed. Just as I was un-hooking the trailer mid afternoon on Sat the 17th, a man came out and asked if could move the trailer to the opposite side of this already small parking area, I told him I completed the un-hook, and l would leave it here, he said I was suppose to put it where he wants it, I proceeded to tell him, I was leaving it here, the look on his face and attitude told the whole story from there. If trailer rental from this location was free, not now and ever would I go there. Thanks for the wonderful experience on at the Topeka Pickup location.ROBERT H.

Make sure that the pickup time is within business hours. Self-checkout on the app was ineligible and my pickup time was at 8AM, although the store did not open until 10AM. I drove 25 minutes to this store to wait for two hours until the store opens as customer service told me there was nothing they could do.Andrew S.

Correct billing as quoted, customer service line answered in less than 1 hour on hold would be nice too when it was a uhaul proble.THOMAS A.
