The lady who assisted us was very unprofessional. Inside rental desk area was filled with odds, ends and knick-knacks for sale. We were directed to pick up our truck at the storage unit rental site on the Connelly Springs Rd. Upon arrival, our truck rental was not there. The gentleman there was extremely courteous, professional and helpful. He helped direct us to the other location.Derrick C.
This location was fine and the attendant was very nice. However, I booked online on U-Haul's website and had scheduled to pick the truck up at a different location closer to my home. The location was changed and I never received any notification so I went to the original location and waited until I realized that my truck had been moved. It threw my whole morning off when I was trying to get moved and beat the rain that was coming later in the day. This is not a complaint against this particular location, but U-Haul in general.Kyle C.

I had a confirmed reservation for a 10-foot truck. I stopped by the location the afternoon prior to my rental date and saw the 10-foot truck on the site. I called U-Haul customer service the evening before the rental date and I was assured the 10-foot truck would be available. When I arrived to pick up the truck I was told in had been rented to someone else. I was given a 15-foot truck and had to pay the additional cost for a truck I did not want, but was forced to accept due to no other alternative. To date, U-Haul will not respond to my request to be reimbursed for the additional in accordance with their published guarantee.Dennis D.

There was a rate difference between my reservation online and what the system showed upon checking in for the insurance packages offered, but that was resolved upon turning the truck in and showing them the lower rate quoted online. Countryside handled that well, but was seemingly as baffled as I was. Suggest UHaul clarify the descroancy. Great place to rent from though. Will return for any future rental needs.David H.

I reserved a 26' truck on Friday morning, June 24, with a 4:00 pick up time. I called ahead at 3:20pm to let them know I may not be there until a bit after 4:00. They assured me that was fine because they would be there until 5:00. Upon arriving, I was told that the lift door on the 26' truck I had reserved would not open. The only other truck they had was a 15'. Being that it was now 5:45pm, it was too late for me to acquire another truck at a different location. Had they told me the situation with the truck I reserved when I called @ 3:20, I would have had time to acquire a 26' truck elsewhere. The change in the truck size created a major issue for my company. I shall not be using this location again and will not recommend it to anyone else.Ila S.

I was initially sent to the Cajah Mountain location which is a convenience store with a person that does not speak English. His one 6x12 trailer on site had a roll up door which would not work for me. I would remove this location from U-Haul's locations. The Country Motors 2 site had good people but the computers were really slow. The trailer was brand new.Barney S.

I was really disappointed that our first dealer did not have a vehicle for us, even though I had a reservation. I was VERY pleasantly suprised when a few minutes later your Regional office called me and found a vehicle a few miles away. A much bigger truck, but same price. Thanks!Dean K.

I have rented U-Haul trucks and trailers at least a dozen times over the past 35 years. In most cases I have returned the truck OVER the amount of gas that was required upon return. One time I return it a mark under (which was on the mark when I got gas but until I drove from the closest gas station to the U-Haul rental place it was under) I was told U-Haul would charge me $5 basically for a couple mile drive. Why am I not reimbursed when it is OVER the required? Truthfully, the past 3 times I rented a U-Haul truck I have been dissatisfied with the service of U-Haul -- from not having the truck available at all (Rutherfordton, NC) to not having the size I requested (Brevard, NC) to having to fill up with gas a second time upon return or be charged (Lenoir, NC). U-Haul used to be much more reliable and customer oriented than they are these days.Jacqueline M.

The typical very small town sort of place. Nothing spectacular, but the folks were nice enough. The district manager was there and handled the paperwork. The trailer was an older one, but everything worked on it, and the tires were in great shape, best of all, it did the job I rented it for. Drop off location had to be changed. I received an e-mail telling me where the"ageed upon location" was. This was after I was already on the road with the truck! I was told I could take it to any location in Asheville!! Nevertheless, I took it to the location I was told to, and it was closed and had no drop off box!!
