This place was absolutely HORRIBLE! Their customer service was so bad, I Would never recommend this place and it was so bad I called uhaul and they couldn't even get into contact with them. Never again!CarolAnn W.

Beware when renting a truck from this location!! I was charged 3x what it should have been and when I tried to call them the message said they were closed and not opening until June (it is March). Never use a debit card with these people. The truck was returned on time and in good condition, only 44 miles and I was charged almost $300!!Stacy D.

Went to pick up my truck and no one was there. Had to call to get info from him. When I went to drop off my truck, they had no info or my contract. Took half an hour to get it through customer service. So I was charged for an extra day rental. I was also charged for the dolly and it wasn't even in the truck. The drop off worker was very helpful. He was able to reverse charges for both issues.Amy V.

I made this reservation online for a 10' Truck. I received a phone call a few hours later stating there was an error in the system and the equipment wasn't available at the location requested. No big deal! I made it clear I could pick up at another location but had to drop back off wherever I picked up the Truck from. I show up the next morning during business hours to pick up the equipment. The business was conducting contactless pick up so the transaction was conducted over the phone. I again confirmed I was PICKING UP AND DROPPING OFF HERE. There was no miscommunication about this because he explained the process of dropping off the key in the "orange box by the door". When I made the reservation over the internet the rate was $19.95 plus .40 per mile. this is what I based my rental decision on. The original contract at pick up stated .40 per mile. I dropped off the equipment DURING BUSINESS HOURS at approximately 1:00pm. I later received a bill with .89 cents per mile and two "After Hours Service" Fees. Instead of paying roughly $100.00 for the rental, my bill was for $225.00. When I contacted Country Side Rentals in Plainfield where I dropped off the equipment to clarify and fix the charges I was quickly dismissed and told there was nothing they could do and I was responsible for the additional charges. Wasn't willing to listen to my explanation of the drastic change in mileage rates. My recommendation as a valued and repeat U-Haul customer... 1.) Fix your website (This is the 3rd rental in a row the website has caused issues at booking. 2.) Investigate County side in why they are hiding fraudulent charges. 3.) Conduct a quality control check on the business to ensure they are providing the highest quality of customer service possible. I shouldn't walk away from a U-Haul location feeling the way I felt as a customer. Coming from a small business owner and MBA, this is bad business. 4.) Unrelated to the subpar service from Country Side... U-Haul needs to revamp the process of getting customer reviews / feedback.JOSHUA P.

So I arrived at the location within business hours and they are closed. I'm told to drop keys and contract in the box and they would â€œtake care of itâ€ here's how they took care of it... they charged me a $30 after hours fee and two extra mystery days. Then they incorrectly marked my fuel level which should have shown the 3 1/4 I returned it with. I call customer service only to be told I'll be called in 24-72 hours a week goes by no call then I see a $199 charge from I haul and still no call so I call them again and the district manager only refunds me $140 and tells me â€œwell we didn't charge you for the fuelâ€ Hello!!!! It came back with way more than the quarter tank I received it with (3 1/4 to be exact) bottom line I will never use this company again I'd rather hand carry my items piece by piece!Douglas P.

I only needed a 10 ft truck. All that was available was a 15 ft was never informed that it was more expensive. Got the truck back after hours was going to use the after hours website but it was not responding. Was then charged 20 dollars for the truck to be inspected during hours. There were a lot of charges that I was not aware of until viewing final receipt in my email. I am very disappointed with Uhaul.Christina D.
We needed to rent a 15' box truck on short notice. The representative was able to: - Obtain the truck we needed - Ensure that the truck was ready when requested - Explained the rental procedure in detail - Showed how we could return the truck after hours. The representative was very professional and knowledgeable. We highly recommend Country Side Rentals and would not hesitate to rent from them again in the future.SEAN G.

I would not recommend UHaul to a friend. It took over 30 minutes to get the truck picked up. I selected the pick up via the website and when I got to the location and logged in I got a message saying it wasn't approved. I tried calling AND used online video chat to resolve it. I had to provide three references in order to approve it. This information should've been collected prior to me ever going there. It was a very poor first experience with Uhaul, not recommended.Cliff L.
