The trailer was rusty and needed lubricant applied to the ratchets on the front of the trailer. We had a tire blow out during the rental. The tire blown cost us to stay the night unexpectedly until morning accumulating extra cost for lodging and an extra day of trailer rental. Not happy at all with the experience.

Called the number on the door. Told to drop key in drop box and he would check it in in about an hour. This was done as promised.

I had to add windshield washer fluid. It was completely dry.

We were confirmed for pick up at Glenwood Springs location, one hour and 45 minutes later I was called in my reservation was canceled . I called corporate office and found one truck available in Fruita which was over an hour out of my way .

The first location did not have my reservation. Then I got sent to this location and had to call somebody to come to the office. I was so frustrated from being late by the initial reservation that waiting a half hour to figure out what number to call and then wait for this person to show up to the office from who knows where was about all I could take that morning.

Did get get to meet them or see inside as we dropped off after hours. They did charge me additional $15.00 for cleaning that I felt was a supprise as it was very clean when we dropped it off. Other than that all was good.

The actual rental took too long and entailed a phone call to someone to try and get the inventory in the computer straight.-So that the physically existing car hauler would appear on the computer inventory. They're going paperless at U-haul and If the computer isn't right-well that's a problem that puts a sabot in the gears.

We brought the truck back to the location we promised. We dropped it off a day early, so it would be available to another mover, for the weekend. We called the number on the site, and got The U-haul call center. They could not contact owner either. So we followed the directions, of the call center, and did the after hours drop. After we returned home, the Fruita, Co owner called to thank us for delivering early, as he had a customer needing one. We were sad to hear, there was no discount for dropping the truck early.

Nothing. Ed was great! This was the easiiest, and best experience from a U haul dealer. I'd definitely rent from there again.

Both places commented that in the winter they do not worry about the trailer being clean on the outside. I do not think it would hurt to spray them down when they come in. Ours was filthy on the outside and I keep a very clean automobile. What a contrast that was while pulling.

The owner of this drop off location called me mid-morning on my fourth and final day of the rental agreement telling me in no uncertain terms to return that truck to him ASAP. I tried to explain that it was my final day and I was almost done with it. He stated, drop the key in the key slot, I wont be here as I'm going to lunch. I immediately swept out the truck and spent the better part of 30 minutes trying to find his location according to his directions. I had 1/2 tank of fuel when I left to find his location. I lost at least two gallons driving around looking for his storage lot. In my opinion, very poor customer service. In the future, when I need a truck rental, most likely I will still go with U-Haul but not with this location.

When I arrived (early) no personnel were present, so I went into town for a cup of coffee. I returned at the appointed time to find the proprietor busy with another customer. Once this customer was satisfied, my transaction (5'x8' trailer) took nearly an hour to complete. I had filled out all information online and the website boasted that this would cut my wait time in half. The owner complained of computer issues and was more concerned that he'd need tech repair than the fact that I'd spent well over an hour renting the trailer. Extremely poor customer service. Next time I'll rent from a different location.

My experience with the Franchisee was excellent, Ed was very helpful. My experience with U-haul themselves was a pain in the hind end, they expect a commitment, but will not give one, they are supposed to call to follow up on a commitment that is almost too late and fail to do so.
