The trailer door was really hard to open. The trailer had an under inflated tire. Cooper roofing did not have the utility dolly that I had booked, so they charged me extra for the appliance dolly. They did not supply an adapter for the trailer lights. A signal light on the trailer did not work.Josiah P.

The lady showed me how to hook the unit as I was unfamiliar with this type of hitch. She was super helpful. We also needed to buy a drop hitch as our hitch was too big. The trailer was clean inside. The only thing was that it was filthy on the outside and I had to wash off lights and break caked on mud off.Christina F.

Please make sure the vehicle is cleaned with windshield washer fluid. Also repair the shifter linkage because it made a loud clanking noise when shifting from forward to reverse while stationary. Also the service engine light came on repeatedly indicating poor vehicle maintenance at this location.David G.

Vehicle cab was obviously not cleaned/sanitized. Fuel tank was not full leaving questions as to the actual level on the analog fuel gauge. The sheet I was given showed a higher amount of fuel than what was actually in the vehicle. Vehicle made a lot of noise driving on the highway (perhaps drive shaft problems?). I tried 3 times to upload my walk around inspection before driving off and each time it was not successful so I had to start again.Randall G.

I reserved a truck 2 days in advance for 24/7 truck share. I called the day before the reservation day to confirm it was being prepared and was told it was ready to go. Got there Friday and the truck is not ready, no keys in the drop box. This is the second time it has happened at the same location. So I had to wait till the next day to get a truck to be told I apparently owe them money true to a late drop off. I have always dropped my equipment off during store hours and have never been late. I was "guaranteed" my reservation or you get $50... For them to never contact me about it. Will never use this truck rental company ever againPaige M.

The receptionist was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The vehicle worked well but was absolutely filthy inside. There was pet hair all over the passenger seat and dead leaves and dirt in the cargo area. The dash was dusty and spilled beverage of some kind on the steering wheel. A little time cleaning and everything would have been fine.Kevin C.

I move from calgary to sylvan lake its only 97 miles and maybe I drive extra 20 miles. They charge me 900 miles. Now I move and I don't have job and they changed me about $360 extra. Not only this i want to tell you hole story. I book my u-haul about 25 days before. Tow days before company text me and they changed my pick up location and time. I compromised and I changed my job hours and day before in morning company call me and again they changed my time and pike up location. Again I call my boss and changed my job hours. I call customer service he was nice guy he give me extra miles and extra days. This is story when I pick up truck. I wast my time and take stress. At the end when I dropped it they changed me extra 900 miles. That's my worst worst worst experience with any company. GraciasUsman A.

The front desk ladies were extremely helpful and friendly, the equipment was in excellent condition and they gave me a wicked deal. The only thing I could I criticize is, that I rushed to be back before 3pm on Sunday as that was the time they closed. I was at the location at 2pm and they were already closed. There was another rude lady with the roofing business just leaving and said she had nothing to do with uhaul and was being extremely rude to a young family who was there to pick up a uhaul they had reservations forJoshua C.
Everything went quite smooth even though the pick up location had to be adjusted, I was well informed about changes as they were made. Had to get the drop off location adjusted but it was quick and the rep was very helpfulJoel R.
The experience was good overall but I was not told that the furniture dolly that I paid for was unavailable. Also, the dress code should be updated because the receptionist was very unprofessionally dressed in a very short romper. However I loved the office dog, very friendly and cute.Savannah M.

Gas tank leaking for over an hour after fill up. Picked up half empty, very dangerous situation. The check engine light on when picked up. Called back and were told they were aware, but the last customer said nothing happened. We're told to just call uhaul roadside service if anything happened. Ridiculous!! Rented from Red Deer for drop off in Osoyoos BC. The dealer here took the time to explain how uhaul handles their return gas policy and showed how the scale supplied on the contract works. NOT done in Red Deer by Cooper Roofing. He was extremely kind and great to deal with. I'm thinking of posting the pictures of the leaking gas tank and trash in the unit cab. Plus the check engine light on does not lead to a worry free trip. Also I would like to say road side assistance is useless if your out of cell service area or going up or down a mountain. Totally UNSATISFACTORY!!Brodie B.
Just double check what your fuel level and mileage are actually at. I was told the fuel was full, when it was only 3/4 full and the mileage was way off. Really not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, just something to watch for. Thankfully the girl who helped me was super understanding and went above and beyond to correct this experienceColeman K.
Have your employees actually trained for the position. The girl who had helped me rent my u-haul for moving had no clue what she was doing as she gave me a in town truck which had to be given back to that location when I asked for a one way truck. I had even double checked a month in advance and the day of that I could return anywhere in Calgary. This causes a large inconvenience and grief for my moving experience.Darryl H.

The inside of the cub van was covered in oil. When we started moving boxes into the unit, we slipped and fell. Our belongings we full of oil. Along with our shoes and clothing. We tried cleaning it sufficiently to continue to pack our belongings which resulted in a delay in returning the unit, in which we were charged and offer a $30 refund which is unacceptable.Tanya P.

I reserved the auto transport 2 weeks in advance to make sure it was in Airdrie when i needed it. The day before I get a call that I was going to have to drive an extra hour each way to get it. Not acceptable. Why reserve if U haul isn't going to get equipment where it is requested?Keith L.

Your after hours drop off system is difficult to work with. No one tells you you have to take photos at drop off time. The system will only let you upload directly from your phone camera not your photo gallery. Which doesn't work well once the keys are already in the drop box.Gregory A.

The location and staff were not an issue. HOWEVER...I was extremely incovienced by the fact I didn't get my rental on the day I scheduled because systems were down....I was not even called to be advised when systems were up again I had to just re book my van....no compensation ...it cost me more money due to a rescheduled date. I'm very upset with uhaul and will be calling the better business bureau if my issue isn't rectified with come type of compensation for the extreme inconvenience and ignorance to try and fix the issue.Thelony M.

We were the only ones inside the location wearing masks as per Provincial Guidlines. There were maskes available, and one employee asked for and received a mask. Not a big deal it is a privately owned business that operates UHaul as a side business.Shirley C.

Make sure guaranteed booking is guaranteed. Make sure moving blankets are there when customer pays for them. Follow-up with customer after terrible experience. None of this has happened for myself and I'm still awaiting to hear from management to try and make this experience a little better.Matthew L.

few issues - traveled to Innisfail 1st to get a trailer and had flat tire on it so they sent me to this location. they had a trailer. The trailers do not have jacks on the hitch and are very heavy and awkward to move by yourself - end up with pulled back or pinched fingers. when i dropped it off next day had computer issues and took 40 minutes to check out - the area to park trailer in the back yard is full of deep holes and mud - got my shoes totally full of mud that packed into my truck and truck got muddy outside as well (20 dollar car wash required from that). They could use way more tie down areas in the trailers, 1 tire worn badly, should have spare tire for trailer and jack on the front so people do not hurt thier backs lifting the hitch from the ground to hitch.Stanley K.
