This location was great. The Dekalb pickup location I spoke with a guy on the phone- the rudest, more unprofessional encounter I have ever had in my entire life. He was blatantly mocking me and laughing in a condescending way throughout the conversation of me simply asking how to go about switching the pickup location. Once transferred to this location of compass storage- experience was amazing!

DONNA HARMONYou give the address for a Storage facility and allow 24 hour pickup. The problem is that the actual parking lot that has the Uhaul vehicles is in an unattached lot behind the storage facility. There is a railroad track between the two and the only way to access the Uhaul trucks is to leave the facility, drive down the road to cross the tracks and then enter the from a completely different road. Unfortunately I parked in front of the storage facility, unable to see that the trucks aren't even located there nor can be easily accessed. The fact that no one was working there to help only exasperated the entire situation. The app was glitching so I had to call the number for help. It took well over an hour for the agent to override the issues caused by the app and things entered wrong in my reservation that I also placed on the phone days earlier. The agent I spoke to to help find and get the vehicle was very nice and patient, and I truly appreciated it since everything up to that point was a nightmare and continued to get worse. Unfortunately the drop off location I initially chose when making the reservation days earlier was no longer available. So I had to drive further to one that was. This cost me more in gas and caused me to go over the milage. I wouldn't of went over if I had been able to drop it off at the initial place I had reserved. So this cost me more money. Then when I was ready to return, the app still kept reloading the same page, not continuing to the next page to allow me to start the return. I had to call customer service again to have them do it. All in all, unnecessary hours lost due to the poor app, incorrect reservation info entered by phone agent days prior, unclear information on actual location of trucks, multiple phone calls for help, and longer drive to drop off. Then more money lost to extra miles and gas. It was a horrible experience. The only good parts were the polite phone agents I spoke to today for the pick up and drop off. Unfortunately, due to all the other issues I had, I would never recommend this service to others.

Angely BaileyTruck was reasonably clean, didn't expect sparkling clean. I rented a dodge ram truck, drove it 33 miles. Fuel economy display says average is 20 mpg. Refilled gas with 1.948 gallons and was still charged for 2 gallons $6.75 fuel charge. Does this truck only get 5 mpg??

This location however had amazing customer service and was amazing in helping me out as a first time renter. I would go here a million times again if I had to. They were so respectful and understanding and clarified any questions I had.
Angel NeimanI kept calling this morning to speak to someone at the Front Street - location in Smyrna, TN. The young lady I picked up the truck with was great but when I returned the truck the young man there was very rude, not helpful, nonchalant and was not answering the phone when I tried calling. I called 10 times and no answer at all. Beware of this location very unprofessional.

Ann SmithI returned the truck after hours and the key would not fit in the slot. Apparently, someone else had done the same thing. As I was trying to get the key to fit, the front of the box opened. So, I placed the key in (along with another key) and shut the box closed. Otherwise a good experience. Marah was very nice.

PAM ELLISI had made a reservation days before the rental… when I couldn’t make it to Nashville, I had to get my daughter and her boyfriend to pick the truck up and the girl canceled my reservation and then re-created a reservation and Jake Skinner‘s name and it was a lot of drama and I don’t appreciate it. I don’t even think that we got a 20 foot truck but whatever.

Courtney FieldsThe truck I rented should not be in service. Looks like previous damages have never been fixed. Truck itself looks like crap. Sounds like crap too. It was filthy when I got in it. The brakes squealed so loud! The transmission would slip every once in a while making me afraid I’d get stuck somewhere. Trying to keep the truck in lane was a pain in the ass. It needs an alignment bad! After this experience I’ll probably never rent a U-Haul again. I wish I could get a refund.

Kayla KooleyThe only thing that needs to be different is it needs to be now that the U-Haul is on the other side of the railroad tracks from compass storage. They are separated by a fence and the railroad tracks and where you pick up the U-Haul is actually on S. Larry St. beside the barbershop. Other than that I really did not have an issue I didn’t drive far and it was easy to return. I didn’t have the 24 hours that I planned I picked it up at 11:30 and I returned it around 230 or 3 PM. And the truck was in better shape than most of the ones I have rented from other U-Haul‘s.
Angela JordanThey was nothing wrong with compass but let me tell you all that when I reserved my truck on long and it changed Friday evening to a different location and the place was not open for pick up has pissed me off. Also I had to rent a smaller truck to move my stuff and I did not get everything so I would like a truck at no cost this weekend to finish my move. Thank you

This person did everything they could to make sure I left this location satisfied after having many issues with my uhaul order. I have give this uhaul location 1 star because 1) they did not have all my equipment that I ordered in stock 2) after call uhaul to make sure they had this equipment available at this location they told me "yes, this won't be a problem 3) I had to go to a whole different uhaul location in order to get my equipment that was not provided with my truck that I ordered.
