NICKIE BCheck engine light came on, cab doors were extremely difficult to close, requiring a vigorous slam. Fix this vehicle and if they are all like that stop buying GM vans. Worst door efforts I have ever experienced Truck otherwise we clean and got the job done

faical tEveryone there is very nice and respectful. I would recommend this place and they are very good explaining things like for example if u didn’t want the rest of the stuff in ur unit they will donate it for u, I think that’s great. Keep doing what you’re doing, everyone there is great.

LaMorris MI prepaid my reservation and was twenty minutes late for my appointment. And manage repeatedly said she was going to cancel my appointment because I was not punctual on arrival. Very degrading attitude. Despite all the verbal abuse the truck was not ready. The cart and blankets not in truck. I had to walk to truck. And then Truck was near empty so I had to drive to local gas station. Truck was supposed to have quarter tank but was 19 miles to empty. Worst U-Haul ever. Terrible.

MICHAEL BDoors wouldn’t close and sensors kept going off. After take off I was notified by a driver the back door was wide open! It was so bad there was a sign to to not lock the doors. Ghetto

greg gThe truck worked well, although when we picked it up it only had 33 miles to empty AND had extremely low tire pressure (near single digits in 3 of the 4 tandem tires). We were also kind of rushed off the lot, w/o being able to complete a look around the truck to make sure we were comfortable and good to go safely. This truck also made a honking or squealing sound has we got close to 55 m/hr unless we cracked the window then when we got close to 70 m/hr it would start to squeal again. However, we were overall quite happy with the experience, the truck and the people who help us at uHaul.

Braxton KI have rented through U-haul numerous times in the past and have had nothing but a pleasant experience. Until today, the team member today at COMPASS SELF STORAGE LLC 3120 located in Novi MI was very disrespectful on both pickup and return of the truck. She was very disrespectful towards me and another customer stating that “we were stupid for not being on time for our pickups, and I should cancel your reservation to make a point” my pickup was for 10:00am on 08/19/23. I arrived at 10:10am that same day. In addition, the 15’ truck I rented was never cleaned from the previous reservation and I had to clean out the box of the U-Haul truck. Due to these complications I will be going else for my future rentals
Joseph KThe equipment was a bit dirty, smelled like smoke, and was higher mileage. It did get the job done and that is really what matters.
David CRented a 10 foot U-Haul truck for a local move. I picked up the truck on 8/5/23. I opted for the mobile check in/out but the app was clunky and I hit a snag. I went inside, the chubby white woman was rude, thoroughly unhelpful and a pos. But I shrugged it off, what can you do. Truck was definitely older and I wouldn’t trust for a long haul, but it worked well for my 8 mile round trip use. At vehicle return, the app worked well. Because there is no visible key drop off box outside the facility, I went inside. I stepped about two steps in with my toddler, when the same woman yelled at the top of her lungs: key drop here! So I dropped the key at the counter and as the woman was helping two white men at the counter, I didn’t interrupt while I looked for a restroom. Again, the woman yells out startling my child and myself, “Excuse me, is there anything else I can help you with?” After she told me location of the restroom (ie through the double doors to the left) she went back to a soft and friendly tone to the men she was helping. Her tone, yelling and behavior throughout both 5 minute interactions, were unwelcoming, unhelpful, rude and obnoxious. I mention race because I don’t know her name, micro-aggression exists and she clearly was treating the two white men with respect and decency yet with me she chose to yell and be unhelpful. If you need to rent a UHaul truck, try Estate Storage in Novi and 9 mile. I had a great experience there previously and truly wish I had gone there instead of Compass self storage.

Laura NFirst truck given had two open windows during the rain and was soaking wet inside, dirty, and had 0 gas in it. Second truck, a 10’, was old, dirty, squeaky, and left mirror was broken. I don’t think I’m ever picking up a uHaul ever again.

Kiran BRental Manager was inconsiderate at time of vehicle return Charged me the rent of a full day for me being 20 mins late due to traffic I was told at the time of renting that up to one hour from the time of reservation , is allowed while retuning at no extra costs I was caught in construction related traffic and almost near the rental facility to return when the general manager for this facility calls me and harasses me about my return. And accused me that I was keeping people waiting for that rental equipmemt, This was an absolute lie because I was at the rental facility literally 5 mins after my telephone call with the general manager , and there was no body waiting for me , nor did I see anyone leaving. Overall I did not deserve to be treated like this , and hence don’t even give a 0 out of 5 stars for this location.

GALE BWas not properly advised about returning truck to inicial fuel situation and did not receive a contract. Also, truck had a lot of water inside, which made all my furniture wet in the end.
Alesson LThe clerk mentioned that the vehicle had a full tank of gas and I was to fill it up when I brought the Van back. However , when I pulled out of the lot, I noticed it was only 3/4 full. I had to call 3 times to get this straighten out with corp and the local office to document this. Big pain in the ass !

dan dNot only was there issues with the vehicle, we were charged for fuel that was not needed. We fueled at the corner less than .15 miles from the location prior to returning. We will not use this location again. *I normally take photos of the dash before and after for this specific reason. Unethical business practices.
