I had to change pickup locations 4 times and ended up driving 80 miles round trip to pick up my trailer. When I arrived they had one trailer, but said we would have to have it back the next morning - not possible we were taking it back to MN. Owner called regional manager and it was straightened out. For our trouble, the Owner comped us a couple extra days, no charge for the pads and the insurance for the trailer. He really came through for us. Very take charge kind of guy! Keep this guy!!

Commander Towing should not be a location for you. I arrived to pick up my truck and after being told someone would be there in 15 minutes, they arrived an hour and a half later. Meanwhile I stood in the cold. This was all after the truck I ordered was not at the pick up location. I now have to travel an extra 1200 miles to get the rest of my belongings. I will only use U-Haul in the future if I have no other options.

Trucks that have been serviced, ensure battery life is good, tires, etc. Truck broke down 3 times and delayed our arrival by an entire day and a half.

Very easy transaction needed a tow dolly and it was everything that I was looking for. WISH I could remember the guys' name that helped me out, he walked with me outside, hooked up the dolly to the truck and did a step by step rundown on how to load up the car and secure it to the dolly. Thank you, will go hear for any moving/towing needs!

This vehicle was not ready for me at my scheduled time and I was told the dolly I had reserved wouldn't be there for another four or five hours after my reservation time. Because of this she offered for us to have the truck for another day for no cost, we agreed. When we got out to the truck there was a half inch of ice on the windshield. When I asked if they had a long scraper or some to do it for us she tried to hand me a hand scraper and said to just blast the defrost. Then we found not only our dolly, but also a bunch of furniture pads and a bigger dolly. It had also not even been swept out, there was trash, leaves, etc. We couldn't even drive the truck until over an hour after our rental time. And to top it all off, I was charged for two days! I had to call Uhaul directly to take care of this, because Commander Towing kept giving me the run around. This is the first time I've had a bad Uhaul experience and will definitely never be using this location again.

The service rep did not have ya check over the truck for prior damage and did not verify the turn signals on the auto trailer worked when connected. Found out while on the road they didn’t work

Office was locked. Contact number on contract connected me with voicemail that the mailbox was full. Called a number on the door and connected with a man who said just park on a specific side street and put keys in lockbox.

I think it’s extremely frustrating that every time I use uhaul I’m told that the truck I want will be available and then the day before am told what I need isn’t actually available and that i’ll Have to drive over an hour to get it from a different location. If it’s available when I call to reserve it how does it get rented and then become unavailable?? Doesn’t make sense. Way better at booking.

Not a thing! The young lady who handled the rental process and loaded the pads and dolly was pleasant, professional and efficient! If I hadn't been moving out of town, I would put Commander at the top of my repeat business list! They get an A+!

The size truck I needed wasn't available at the location I rented from, so when I called to confirm the day before our rental, we were told that we were to drive to another town for our truck. No one had let us know this. The office said that 'Corporate was supposed to let you know.'. The problem was resolved by our changing our pick up day to the next day, so it worked out. If we had not been able to make a change on our end, the result could have caused us a lot of trouble and worked against our deadline. 'Corporate' needed to let us know about the change in location, but did not.

This was my second choice on my drop off. I was pulling a transport with a car. I stopped and asked if they would unhook the straps and chains so I could take the car off the transport. then leave the transport so it would be easier to unload the truck. The person in charge stated that was against company liability policy. After 30 minutes i left to the above establishment and had no problem.

The truck was a newer GMC model with about 18,000 miles. The air conditioning on the truck did not cool the cab with the afternoon sun shining in and 100 degree temperature outside. On the second day, the A/C quit all-together for about 150 miles with the outside temperature of 103 degrees. I also noted that the alternator gauge often switched from charge to discharge frequently during the trip. When the A/C failed, the alternator gauge also showed discharge conditions. NOT A PLEASANT TRIP FOR 1/4 OF THE DISTANCE. I mentioned these problems when the truck was returned.

My reservation was changed a total of 3 times, despite organizing with UHual Corporate coordinator. All staff were polite but the logistics made this the most difficult move I’ve experienced (and apparently I was given the wrong # auto trailer). Plan to use different company next time despite being a UHual customer for years.

Checked in online the night before. Agent was on the phone for 20 minutes before they could be bothered to help me. Charged for a donation that I did not agree to but people were waiting behind me so I did not contest. Agent did not know what the charge was either. Returned unit before 6 hours (rental time) and agent was on phone and said they would check me out and that I did not need to sign anything. Later, charged double because they returned it to the system late. Will not go back to this location again and will look at other companies such as Budget and Penske from now on unless this is resolved.

It seems that there was a mix up on the drop off. location. I got a call from a representative about a month after I dropped off the trailer. It seems that they thought I was supposed to drop the unit off at another location and they had no record of it being received. Once they corrected that, all was well.

They did not seem to know how to fill out rental forms for customers. We waited at least one-half hour to check in a truck while they tried to fill out a form to rent a trailer. Their company name is not on the U-Haul contract and they did not return my phone call. We went to a different dealer who gave us directions to them.

Representative was very polite. Only thing I wasn’t happy with was I had reserved a 26’ truck to move and was notified 15 minutes before I was scheduled to pick up that the truck I was supposed to get just had a windshield replaced and wasn’t available and they only had 15’ trucks available. Due to the late notice and it being towards the end of the day I couldn’t check other locations for a larger truck and ended up having to make my move with more trips and time, which cost me more money being I hired help for the move and put many more miles in the truck with more loads.

I RENTED A TRUCK FOR A MOVE IN STATE. THE TRUCK I RENTED WASN'T THERE SO THE REP GAVE ME AN AVAILABLE TRUCK THAT WAS LARGER. I CHOSE A TWO DAY RENTAL WITH 136 MILES. DURING THE TRUCK UPGRADE (DUE TO INVENTORY), THE CONTRACT SWITCHED TO 30 MILES. I HAD TO PAY EXTRA MILEAGE FOR A TRIP I ALREADY PLANNED TO BE WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE RENTAL.

The person was not there for the time our reservation was scheduled. He showed up over 15 minutes late and then proceeded to tell us that he did not have 10’ trucks at that location even though that’s what we reserved and it sent us to that location. He looked outside and saw that there in fact was a 10’ truck outside so he was able to provide us with the truck we reserved but it was a TERRIBLE process and very unorganized. I will not be using this location or company again to move.

Truck and tow dolly were reserved; locator sent us to Yellowstone Dr. in Greeley for both. That dolly had not been returned so locator sent us to 1720 Balsam (many miles away, the farthest east location of the 12 in Greeley!). We drove up and down that street only to find it did not exist. A kind man at another Uhaul made a call to learn all equipment from Balsam had been transferred to another location. Uhaul locator should have had that information. After driving around for so long looking for Balsam, the first truck we rented made such a howling noise (either bearings or brakes going out) we returned truck and got a second truck. It was FILTHY! Spent 30 minutes with hot water and Dawn scrubbing sticky soda, stuck on food from seats, dash and floor. I would not recommend this store to anyone as it had not been checked for mechanical ability or that it had been cleaned. We do not recommend this location, or Uhaul for that matter.
