I drove the truck for 15 hours. My hands were sore from gripping the steering wheel for such a long time. The truck gave a very uncomfortable ride especially on rough roads and interstate. I felt like I was being beat up. I heard some things shift in the truck on the very rough roads and things were packed right.The sun visors were too high for me and the sun made is hard to see the road ahead. The truck may need a wheel alignment as it pulled to the left and made it hard to steer. It was very windy and very hard to keep straight in the lane at times because of the pull to the left.

I reserved a 26' truck 30 days prior. I went to this pick up location twice to look at the trucks on site and tried to ask them to hold a particular new truck for me. Their reply was that "they did not know what truck was going to be assigned to me until the day before." BS!! The day of the pick up, they had the two newer trucks backed up to the building and told me they were rented by a local "moving company" and that they were already loaded. That left two trucks for me to "choose" from and neither had a 2" hitch receiver which I needed for a motorcycle carrier. I opted for the newer truck and they then told me that particular truck had to "stay local." What!!?? Where they just making up rules as they went along?? That left me with the 2006 model with 165K miles and a body that looked like it banged against the iceberg that sank the titanic. This truck was beat!! I looked straight at the lady (who had this little smurk on her face) and said you are going to make me take that POS over 700 miles to Tuscon?? Her reply was that I could drive another 150 miles to get another 26 footer if I was not satisfied with this one. UNREAL. The truck made it, but got lousy gas mileage and it was like riding in a tank. The mirrors shook so bad it was like looking into an earth quake behind me. Gave me a headache. No USB ports to charge my phone and no CD player. I will NEVER rent from them again and neither should you. Be forewarned.

I was 3 miles over the limited mileage and was still charged an extra $1.35. Ridiculous after spending over $600 dollars don't you think. I'm sure it's Uhauls policy.

the truck was not available order #92628585 We waited a while since they called and said the truck would be 30 min late. In conversation we found out they were still unloading the truck at 30 min late. At this point We went to Penske and were served right away. No more U-haul.

This location did not have our truck ready at the agreed upon time and then selected a drop off area that was about 100 miles from where our final destination was. They told us we could change it with no problems later. After MULTIPLE calls to the call center they FINALLY figured out we had to drop it off at the originally selected place because we needed to return it after hours. It was insane. Every person in the call center said something different and claimed to have fixed the problem even though I literally had to call in AGAIN and wait 10 mins for help at 4:30 in the morning (we were trying to catch an early flight). The montrose location did not have our truck on time, they were rude and gave us misinformation about the return. I have used uhaul before and dot was fine, but this time was TERRIBLE.

Car Dolly was in disrepair. Covered in grease and oil. The handle to lift the dolly up to attach it to the vehicle was broken off. I was informed of this stuff by the staff as it was being attached to my truck. The staff was very helpful.

The ladies were lovely, awesome and grand. The equiptment was clean however it needed some repairs to the Orange Hubs that cover the wheels as the poor plastic has taken a beating prior to my renting it. I however was in better Usable condition than the one I'd rented in Colorado Springs as per my ability to use it with ease getting my car up on it and strapped down. However whom ever used it prior to me had put one strap in backwards with the end inside making it difficult and time consumping to get undone. My experience with this Car Dolly was much better than the first one last month. now lol my email address somewho was not entered in correctly even though we went over it several times I believe, this however was resolved at the drop off location.

I told themI was not very experienced at backing up with the trailer damn I was not very experienced at backing up with the I told them. And so one of the ladies got behind me and was swinging her arms wildly which did nothing but add to My frustration. If workers are going to help guide people when they’re backing up, they need simple instructions on how to do this properly. Which does not include waving your arms in circles. Simply pointing your finger in the direction they need to move it! And a specific simple signal for stop, or continue.

This rental from U-haul was a disaster from the start. I did not have a problem with the location where I picked up the truck, they were all nice. However, I do have a problem with the customer service when you call the toll free number. My husband and I booked a truck a month in advance for our move across country along with a car tow dolly. The day before we are supposed to pick up the truck U-haul called to say that they do not have our truck in the Delta location as requested but they do have a truck in Durango Colorado that we can pick up to use. Durango is 3 1/2 hour drive away. When I tell them this they said well we can credit you the miles to drive it back to your house to load up. This was unacceptable, as it would cost us time (7 hours driving) and money to fill up the tank for driving it that far before we even loaded it and headed to our new home. U-haul stated that there was nothing they could do even though we booked the truck a month in advance. They finally gave us a $42 credit, after I complained about their customer service and how they are not only inconveniencing us but also the couple who bought our home in Colorado who are waiting to move into their new home. U -haul finally had a truck available for us four days later, which was an hour away for us to pick up. While they had a truck for us to pick finally, they did not have our car tow dolly, so once again we were dealing with not receiving all of our pre-paid rental items. U-haul stated that they did not have a car tow dolly anywhere local for us and finally upgraded us to an auto transporter for no additional charge. However, we would have to pick that up in Grand Junction which is another hour away and this time in a different direction. When we got there to pick it up, they were unable to access our reservation, and when it was finally resolved the computer was saying that we needed to pay an extra $195, on top of what we already pre-paid. U-haul at this location was nice enough to credit the $195 back to us. I had always thought of U-haul as dependable and my first choice for truck rentals; however, after this experience, I will find a new truck rental company for any future endeavors. They have lost a 35 year long customer.

We requested Colorado Self Storage because we have used them before and liked them. Somehow, however, our reservation was changed by Uhaul to Dad's Automotive, which wasn't even open on a Saturday. I called Colorado Self Storage the evening before our move, and they were able to get us set up with a truck, but it was a 15' truck instead of the 17' we had requested. This meant an additional trip in town and extra miles we had to pay. We have used Uhaul many times for moving, and continue to be let down by their level of service.

First off, this was NOT the location I choose to pick up my truck when I reserved 2 months in advance online! Instead, Uhaul tells me it was a "floating" reservation and that I had 4 choices to go and get my truck and my original one was not listed. Then, everyone passes the buck by saying they are all independently owned, etc etc on and on. No one went out of their way to make sure I could pick up my truck where I wanted to...No One. I even stopped in the place I wanted to pick up my truck a month earlier to give them a heads up I wanted a truck at that location and then I called them a week out out to give them notice again and they did nothing to make sure I would have a truck there.

Our journey began in San Antonio TX and terminated in Montrose CO. When we arrived at Montrose Colorado we had driven though Monarch Pass (11,500 ft elevation) and other high summits we were totally exhausted and it was almost 5pm on a Friday afternoon. We found a young lady by the name of Lisa who went beyond and above to help us. She assures us that everything was alright and unhooked the transport and we were on our way. We had had a bad expression at an other location just minutes before we can to this location. Please let Lisa know how much 2 senior women appreicate her and wish her much luck. She was our angel in Montrose.

For the location, no improvements are necessary. The only thing I can think of is a discount coupon from uhaul or cheaper rates.

Office is clean and inviting, with almost any U-Haul 'extras' (bed bags, packing supplies, etc.) available there. Staff is very friendly and very accommodating.
